“My first experience here was at the old location! The new location is really nice Loved the food and margaritas. I tried the fajitas I really enjoyed my meal and our waitress was great. Maury we hope you’re our waitress every time we come in for a meal!“

“The food is amazing, anything you get will be great. Drinks are also awesome. The waiting staff is wonderful and I have never had a problem with anyone there in the probably 100 times I've been there. Clean and tidy restaurant, selection of tvs with different things playing. During Covid they had the best system that I witnessed during the pandemic when all things closed and I picked up food for my family close to once a week during that. This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant, and you know that means something with how many we have“

“The food was absolutely delicious. We had the shredded chicken quesadilla and burrito bowl with grilled chicken and refried beans. Definitely can tell the tortillas are homemade. Service was friendly and fast. Atmosphere left something to be desired but you hardly notice when you are eating such delicious food.Dietary restrictions: Menu is fairly customizable so you can work around dietary restrictions.“

“I was in town briefly while my son was at rehearsal and I was looking for good tacos. Wow did this place deliver! I had 3 street tacos- Al pastor, carnitas, and carne asada and I really can’t say what was the best. They all had their own flavors that blended beautifully with the sauces. The gentleman who checked me out also tucked some chips and salsa in my bag for my son. The extra mile in service and flavor. This will be my new destination restaurant! Don’t miss this place.“

“The burrito I got was amazing and very quickly made with very fresh ingredients that I was blessed to pick out myself. My girlfriend got chicken tacos that I also tried and they were just as good. It's authentic! This is not like a chain restaurant.Parking: Very limited parking on the street near there. We got very lucky that day though.“

“My family and I go every weekend, the food is amazing, service is top notch! Some people are just picky and there’s always going to be people saying they don’t like the food here but I can promise you it is the best of best everything tends to be so fresh! “The service was a little slow, but considering that we were there In the early afternoon on the Tuesday before Christmas, it's totally understandable. You brought our entrées out and got my order wrong, but was quick to remedy the situation, and when it came out, my food was phenomenal. Very hot and fresh. The atmosphere is very cool reminded me of a "new wave" Mexican restaurant. Wasn't busy but there again, were there in early afternoon and it happened to be a Tuesday. “Place looks a little sketchy on the outside but it's a very small, 4 table restaurant/mini market, but don't let that scare you from trying this hole in the wall. Food was good, the torta was filled w meat/veggies to balance out the warm bread. Taco was good and the tripe was crispy and not too oily. Definitely authentic Mexican food and the hot sauces had a nice amount of heat. Service was quick & our waitress was friendly. We would be back to try other items on their menu.“

“I ordered from door dash and got the Carnitas Verde as well as a queso. It arrived warm and within a reasonable time. I was immediately put off by the color of the verde sauce and the refried beans but with no option I persisted. The food is exactly why we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. “I have literally never had a bad experience here. The food is always delicious and you can tell they love what they make. I usually take food to go, but when I dine in the servers are always extremely nice and easy to talk to! It has a very homey and comfortable atmosphere and it's a nice place to have dinner with friends and family.“

“Very nice and clean space. Bright colors and murals share a love of culture. Server was very nice and answered my questions about the tortillas. I had the Birria soup. There was so much I had to get a to-go cup. I feel like I want to try everything on their menu. Prices were good as well.“

“Good food, friendly atmosphere and servers. We went for chips, dips (guac and queso), and drinks (happy hour is 2 to 5 pm). Their margaritas are very good, coming in both frozen and on the rocks. They come in 4 flavors, which is a scale back from recent years (they used to have several flavors). Was a great place to catch up with friends over drinks!“

“This is by far the best Mexican food I've had anywhere in Iowa. The drinks are also incredible and varied. Their mole comes directly from Mexico, great salsa and chips... Can't go wrong here. We travel an hr just to eat here and have brought many people here and everyone loved the experience!“
