Stop for some lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Our food was good and hot! It was loud with everyone in the room and the music. There are a lot of televisions in the restaurant.

UPDATE: changing to a one star because my husband got food poisoning. It was all he ate that day and he was extremely ill within two hours. $60 for this garbage is outrageous. A health inspector should visit ASAP.Brisket was dry. Burnt ends were sugary and weird. Biscuits and gravy were cold and dry. Mac n cheese, cheese curds, waffle fries were good. They would do well to shorten the menu. Won't be back

Fred Herbert told me this place is the best. He had ordered a bacon grilled cheese burger with extra swiss, no sides. It was ready in about 10 to 15. The manager, I think her name was Kya... She was patient and not being rude. That's just her tone of voice. She wasn't mad at Fred, she was just listing the sides. Take note, she doesn't have walnuts.

Stopped in because I had 2 hours to kill until check in for my hotel and it did not disappoint. The ribs were delicious and the fries were seasoned just perfectly. The staff was super friendly giving me all the run down on the best local spots. It was my first time going but it most definitely won't be my last.

Good eats! First time here. As a southerner and as a Texas, I like to try all kinds of BBQ and smoke meat. Good place to do that! Waitress was attentive and food was good. Recommend!

We were in Des Moines for a couple of days and given that it’s only 3hrs from KC, lol, we decided to go for some BBQ food. The vibe is legit and they got some decent beer on tap. We ordered 2 plates of 2 meat dinner along with some honey sriracha dry rub wings. The 2 dinners gave us 4 meats and 8 sides. Everything was absolutely top notch. Brisket was a bit dry and jalapeño sausage was decent. Ribs were tender and perfect. Smoked wings were also on point. Cornbread, cream corn, fried pickles, waffle fries, potato salad were all incredible. All in all, a great meal and def a must try spot if u in Des Moines. Enjoy…Vegetarian options: Not much but u can get a Salad without the meat. Watch out for sides, as they may contain bacon.

The pork tenderloin sandwich: flavor of the breading was bland and unseasoned with an unappetizing sandy/crumbling texture. The pork itself was overly dry. I got a side of jalapeno cream corn that wasn't bad. The sauces at the table I shook up before using, but they were all thinner than I would have expected for BBQ sauce (excluding the sweet & hot) I also ordered a side of sasuage gravy that was not bad.
Going from Dubuque, Iowa to Kansas City and swooped in for some BBQ.I know KC is supposed to be one of the BBQ kings, but I literally stopped and hung out at a coffee shop until I thought they opened at 11. I could have been in KC by noon!I usually stop at another location, I didn’t realize this one opens earlier for breakfast.Kathrine helped me, and she made a great suggestion for the shaved turkey once I was stumped with options when I said turkey. It’s really a vessel for the hot sauce for me.The sides I have fallen in love with. Mac and cheese, which by the way it is thick enough that I tipped it over and was able to catch it before anything moved. Also, the Jalepeno cream corn. I may be able to do those sides as a meal alone.Pulled eating muscle again.I used to think I had to stop at another BBQ place when passing by, but it has become Jethros. If you knew me and know literally time my route by their hours, you would know.

Food was great. Ambiance was great. Condescending waitress named Payton was not great. I don't even write reviews like that but taking my family out to enjoy a dinner and having a waitress keep deflecting & making snide comments while we were smiling and being positive was a real buzz kill.

Ordered $70 worth of food through Uber Eats and requested some bbq sauce in the notes. The only option listed on the app was to pay $6 for a whole bottle. We received no bbq sauce. It’s ridiculous for a bbq restaurant to make you pay for a whole bottle of sauce instead of providing some complimentary.
