“Came here the other day and the food was amazing. They have hands down the best pad thai in town! My friend got the Pad See EW with white rice and the chicken that came with it was amazingly crunchy and saucy. I ordered the drunken noodle and they forgot my beef with it initially until I mentioned it and it got sorted out. Would 10/10 recommend this place.“
“We are going to start going here more often. What I love about this place is how wide the menu is! While I love pho and Vietnamese food, my partner is not the biggest fan. But this place has sushi and a wide enough selection of other items that we can both be happy!! We ordered quite a bit off the menu and everything was delicious. The tofu in my bun was perfect; it was well pressed and crispier than most fried tofu I’ve had. I also like the spicy crunchy crab roll, though it wasn’t very spicy. Clean and cozy interior, great service.“
“Excellent food! I love their new location- close to the sculpture park and downtown fun. The staff were friendly, checked about allergy ingredients, and informative about the menu. The windows bring in beautiful light to this very nicely decorated space too! It was fantastic!“
“This will be another reason on why I love Lucky Lotus. I went and picked up some Beef Pad Thai. It unfortunately had no spice which is not normal for them. I went ahead and called to see if I could possibly get one re made. The were very apologetic and said they will remake one for me to come pick up. I have never had a bad experience with Lucky Lotus and will continue to support them not only for the food but service as well. If you haven't tried them you're missing out!!“
“5 out 5⭐️ We had the calamari, and two noodle bowls. I got the spicy siracha & my husband had a garlic pesto. It was AMAZING. Will definitely go back. We went on a Monday around 12pm and they were pretty empty (as to be expected for a Monday afternoon) but still had good, timely service. We had our baby with us and unfortunately they don’t have a changing station in the women’s restroom. But otherwise- it was great! ❤️“
“This place is the best. We are from Minneapolis and when we travel we ALWAYS stop here. The flavors are super fresh. There is no strange after taste or muddy flavors. I recommend this place to everyone.I try a new item each time. I have never been disappointed.Good sized portions. Many items can be shared.Regarding spices: mild is medium, medium or hot, hot is blazing. Sometimes we discuss it more so we get the levels set.The staff are very accommodating. This is located in a newer multi-tenant building. It is super clean and nicely decorated. They have a sizeable bar room with a couple of large screen TVs (in case you want to ignore your dinner companions).Vegetarian options: This place defines most items as vegetarian or vegan (no special notes) and you add meat or tofu as you wish. I get the fried tofu. It is soft and delicious. I can't say if all sauces are vegan, you need to ask that.I lived as a vegan for 18 months. This place was never an issue for me.Dietary restrictions: See vegetarian optionsParking: Parking surrounds the building. We have never had an issue for dinner. Except the year kids crashed the place for prom.“
“I’ve been a regular here for the last year. Their egg rolls are some of the best in town. The beef and brisket Pho is easily the best in town as well. I will try other Thai/Pho restaurants, but always find myself disappointed it doesn't live up to Aroy Dee.“
“This place is a great addition to the NW metro and fills in a needed gap.The older lady in charge welcomed me immediately upon walking in. The egg rolls are fire. They're the homemade kind you get when you have an Asian coworker and they bring in six dozen for everyone. Light flaky wrapper, not the thicker ones you get at Chinese takeout. The combo pho bowl is very large and includes shrimp. I will skip the meatballs next time, they've never been my thing. The broth is delicious as well...chili oil isn't on the table but they have it, just ask. Of note, the bathroom has a nice changing table and complimentary feminine hygiene products.Bring cash, the credit card fee is 7%.“
“The food is always great and they have a lot of delicious gluten free options! I brought some friends with last night and they loved the food and said they'd definitely be going back for more! Prices are reasonable too!Dietary restrictions: A lot of gluten free options!“
“Flavor- delicious Prices- affordable Efficient- They are a take out only establishment Packaging- They line the styrofoam containers with foil so that the hot food doesn't melt the styrofoam. EVERY restaurant that uses styrofoam should do this so we aren't eating cancerous chemicals. This is my favorite new restaurant!“
“An amazing experience. I was in the area visiting from Omaha, and I would definitely make the two hour drive just to go back for this experience. I had an attentive waitress. She got the order right. The food was hot and fresh. The spice level was on point. The mussels were great. I also had the pineapple delight ? amazing. My wife had the combination fried rice which was also very good. Now I can’t rave enough about the crab Rangoons. They were the best crab Rangoons I have ever had. We went back the next day for lunch and the food, service, and atmosphere were the same as the previous day. It definitely is worth trying you will forever love this place.“
“For a very small space, this restaurant hosted our very large group from out of town with kindness and grace. They opened the kitchen just for us and served us delectable food. Thank you to all of the workers for welcoming us like you did and I will certainly return the next time I’m in Des Moines.“
“We had the best service tonight! Extremely friendly, kind and welcoming. You can tell it's family owned and that they really care about serving quality dishes. So happy to see that they were very busy while we were there. Always happy to see a locally owned business doing well! Can't wait to come back.“
“One of the best meals I've ever had! The atmosphere was very relaxing, the dish choices were staggering, and the level to which the foods for every dish complimented each other truly left nothing left to desire, especially with the ability to customize the spice for every dish! I haven't had Thai food before, but if this is what it's like I love it! Appreciate the desert options as well, and would absolutely recommend the macarons! Absolutely will be coming back.Parking: Average strip mall parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: There is no automatic opening door, but I don't remember if there was a ramp or not to the strip mall sidewalk.“
