“Very nice family owned restaurant. Very nice couple with two kids.Food is very good with a huge variety, much of which is posted in photos on the walls above the place where you order. We'll go back again and try other things on the menu!”

“We both had the special of the day. Hot beef with a side of green beans. The green beans were great. They were fresh beans not canned or frozen. Our waitress, Mary Sue, was very friendly and efficient.”

“We had a great time at winks. The bartender interacted with everybody to play good music on the jukebox and just talked with everybody she was a great bartender. I believe she's the owner's wife but she was awesome and was on time with the beers. I would definitely go back”

“The lady who answered the phone was super nice and willing to answer all my questions about the dishes. We got the Mummy Shrimp and California Burrito which were both to die for! The portions are generous and everything was cooked to perfect. I can’t imagine this place getting less than a 5-Star review since everything was top of the line!!”

“The owner made us some great specialized pizzas! We called the owner couple days before our wedding in West Branch, IA (25 mins out), they delivered 20 pizzas they hit the spot!! Highly recommend”

“Pizza was good. Perhaps a bit light on toppings. I paid for added onions and didn't notice many. Cheese was a bit light compared to other Papa Johns pizzas I've had as well. The delivery transaction was fantastic. My polizza came piping HOT. I would definitely give this store another try.”

“Absolutely delicious Indian food, was traveling between Davenport and Iowa City and the owner stayed open another 10 minutes so I could pick up my takeout which I happily devoured back home. The inside of the restaurant is a trip - it’s set in a potholed parking lot of a small truck stop, a rundown roadside diner from another era entirely - but the food was hot, authentic and incredibly tasty. Clearly this place is set up to feed and supply (they have a small grocery with Indian snacks and drinks) Indian long haul truckers hungry for a taste of home while they’re driving all over the country, I just happen to be lucky enough to live a drivable distance to enjoy their takeout. A slice of someone’s American Dream.”

“This is one of the better subways that I've been to. I know it's a franchise and basically cookie cutter so they're all basically the same. But the staff is friendly, they make great sandwiches, and everything is pretty much consistent. I can't ask for anything more in a chain restaurant.”

“Only open 6:30-2:30, The Serving Cafe has recently moved into a spacious and nicely appointed location across from the park and still on Main Street Lots of parking and no steps assures easy access . The local families that staff the dining room are friendly and very efficient I visited at 9:30 on a Friday morning and the room was bustling but the staff coped with the crowd sweetly! Since it was breakfast time (I'm not a farmer and do not get up with the chickens) I ordered my favorite: sausage gravy over buttermilk biscuits The order was ample and delicious! I really appreciated the gravy not being over-seasoned so I could salt or pepper to suit my taste This new jewel on Main Street really complements the attractive shops and the National Hoover birthplace and museum”

“We wanted a place outside of Iowa City for a quick drink and bites. Randomly found this pace, we walked in and were instantly welcomed like we had been there a million times. We were BLOWN AWAY by the hospitality by this family owned business. The Hog Wings came highly recommended and let me tell you, I will be dreaming about them tonight in my sleep! hOLy. CoW.. never had anything like them ANYWHERE in the country. We will ABSOLUTELY be back here again.”

“Nice, big, open bar. Many different options for beers, seltzers, flavored margaritas (many flavor choices), along with your liquors. Newer juke box, pool table, darts, and a couple of other fun random games. Occasionally, they have DJ/karaoke. You can order a frozen pizza that they will bake for you (they're delicious) they come from an itallian restaurant. Bathrooms are clean (at least the women's is)! Prices are appropriate, staff members are friendly. There is convenient parking in front and on side streets. Kids can come in until 10 pm. I did this once on a Sunday afternoon for a short time to eat pizza. You will have to judge if the crowd is appropriate prior to bringing children, lol. Overall, it's a great small town bar!”

“This is a busy store along the highway. We stopped after lunch to miss the rush. Bathrooms needed attention. A special order had to be remade no problem but it had to be remade. Just thank you for being there when we needed something to eat and a bathroom to use.”
