“Joseph's is all about the experience. Each table is made private by sheer curtains that make the meal much more private than a typical restaurant. The servers are knowledgeable and happy to recommend a special or guide your food selection. Though the meals are a touch on the pricy side, this restaurant seems to be mostly reserved for a special occasion. Food options are typical for a high end steakhouse and many steaks follow a market price rather than described price. The French onion soup was some of the best I've had with a great ratio of broth to onion to cheese. It was a bit salty but certainly warmed up a cold march night. Originally I ordered the ribeye filet but was given a full ribeye at no additional charge. The steak was cooked to perfection and was delicious. With dessert options so board, everyone at the table will want to share a bite. The bread pudding was warm and flavorful. It came with a side of vanilla ice cream which helped to add moisture to the affair. Over all, great experience and I will definitely be back soon”

“Was taken out to dinner to celebrate graduating graduate school, so I don't know how much the bill was, but I absolutely loved the Rib Eye steak. They did it rare just the way I like it on the first try. Bison meatball app was killer, totally a vibe. Also, both their Manhattan and Old Fashioned were well made drinks that paired well with the rustic food. I chose Mac and cheese for my side and liked it, but ended up taking most of it home in a box. Other guest with me ordered salmon and said it was perfectly cooked so I included pictures as well.Definitely recommend for a date or a celebration of some kind, even if you're going alone I imagine the vibe could work well.”

“First time trying Orchard Green and the food was delicious! They have a nice ambience upstairs as others have mentioned. We were a party of 4 and ordered the focaccia, walleye fish, halibut, roasted bison and the filet. I was debating between the scallops and bison and decided on the bison which was so good! It was a lot of food and I was so stuffed. The server we had was good. He was an older gentleman and he was attentive. It can get busy here but you can also make a reservation online. There is free valet parking where you drive to the back entrance and park right in front of the door and someone will come out. Apparently, they park your car where they can find a spot as well. We ended up doing street parking so you have to pay for meter unless you find free parking a few blocks away. Free parking in downtown Iowa City is harder to come by these days for those folks who are used to free parking in the outskirts of Iowa City.”

“Some of my favorite Italian food in the Iowa city area! My favorite things to order here are any other pizzas (esp the mushroom and lobster) and pastas. really great interior, relaxing environment, nice balance between being fancy yet approachable!”

“Our server Nate was amazing! Recommended great food and drinks for us. Super personable and a genuinely nice guy. We go to baroncini for every special event and it never disappoints! Great quality food, especially for the price!”

“The food, service, and ambiance is absolutely what makes Webster a standout in Iowa city for impressing family/friends who are visiting. They have also done some personal stuff for our birthday events as well and you can truly tell the staff are passionate about the food there and know their stuff. If there’s one place that I would recommend as a staple; this is it. My recommended dish is always the tartare, chicken, and the potato salad”

“We originally bought tickets for the dueling pianos on a Friday night. We decided to make reservations and have dinner there. We started with the shrimp cakes and duck wontons. We also got a bourbon flight to try 4 different bourbons. We got the bone in Iowa chop with brussels and mash. We finished with the creme brulee and drinks. The shrimp cakes were good with a sweet chili sauce. The duck wontons were fantastic and awesome. I would order these any time, every time. The bourbon flight was not for me, not a bourbon person apparently. The main course was excellent. The Brussels were crispy and tasty. The mash was smooth and flavorful. It was a great compliment to the thick and juicy Iowa chop. The creme brulee was good and the drinks were decent. The shrimp cakes were good however I would rather order the duck wontons. The main course was fantastic and I would definitely order this again. The creme brulee was good, pretty standard brulee. The drinks were ok. I probably wouldn't order drinks, other than wine or beer, here as they are small and pretty pricey. The waiter was good though he did drop off towards the end and my drink order got list whether he forgot or the bar didn't do it but he did blame it on the bar. Overall, the food was excellent and worth the trip. I would say give it a try for good m, not so much the drinks.”

“Our family group picked this place for lunch after the little ones had some fun at the Children's museum. From the moment we walked in the door, all of the staff was cheery and friendly.They have a great outdoor area, but it was a little windy, so we ate inside. The menu selection was great from you normal 'brew pub' food. Our order ran from beet salad, lamb meatballs, chicken bacon rolls, to a Poke bowl. The littlest one wanted apple sauce (which we didn't see on the menu) and they were happy to accommodate.The atmosphere inside and out was great as was all of the food. Definitely a place to try if you want to sit outside and enjoy the weather or inside of the weather conditions aren't great. Go check it out!”

“I thought I had posted this review , so it’s long overdue. We had my daughters baby shower in the private room upstairs in April of 2022. The staff was friendly and extremely accommodating with us. The fee for the space was very reasonable and only required a minimum food & beverage purchase. They allowed us to arrive early to decorate and to bring in our own dessert. We had a lovely spread of salads and sandwiches and the staff was attentive but never in the way. This a terrific venue for a small gathering, we had 25 people.”

“Oh my gosh we are here for my 25th birthday and the food was *chef kiss* delicious!! From our entrees to my birthday dessert was phenomenal and I can’t wait to eat here again!! Everything was very well seasoned and so fresh!”

“Best Thai we've had in Iowa City! They actually spice up their food nicely, unlike other spots who assume we don't actually mean we want it spicy. Great flavors, good portions, and nice ambiance. Can't wait to be back!”

“It was just crab tonight as of this posting. This experience really good service and food my friend got a bottle of champagne on the house it was a great night for him. I recommend for anyone without allergies for seafood to definitely try it out and I haven’t tried the Turkey but I will make a new post once I make it around again.”

“We occasionally go for trivia night. Half price appetizers, drink specials, and good friends. Very nice place with good food and not too pricey. I can even pick up some milk on the way out!Parking: Always plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: Our teens come with us all the time.”

“I went and picked up a pizza from these folks for the first time last night. OMG! One of the best commercially produced pizzas I have ever had the pleasure to eat ! Full disclosure I usually make my own and they rock too. I had the The Wedgetable Garden with Jerk Chicken added. Honestly I felt I should have left it without the JC, because the pizza was already LOADED. Every darned thing about that pie was perfect. One of the few IC pizzas that is not too greasy (look'n at you Pags). I highly - HIGHLY recommend their pizza !”

“We went here on Christmas Day and had a great time. The atmosphere is terrific. Very relaxed and inviting. Lots of little details put into this place, like the unique stoneware/plating the food is served on, and the Christmas scarf around the boba tea bear. Pricing is high, but reasonable given the quality of the food and atmosphere quality. I also love that they serve Jinro here, which is a kind of rice wine ?”

“We have been waiting to come here for 8 months. Every time we have passed by, they were busy. Today we went early and we sat right down. At first the restaurant wasn't loud - it wasn't busy either but within the hour, patrons were standing at the door. We were served right away and the waitress was amazing. Steak and Pancakes were good, biscuit were fresh and the gravy was different. We might come back here at some point but it won't be the next place we try. And the atmosphere was just right.”

“Stopped in to this location today looking for a weapon to combat gingivitis. As I roamed the aisles adjacent to the Pharmacy, I found myself in a dilemma: Oral-B or Colgate? I approached the Pharma counter for a recommendation. As fate would have it, a western Iowa native by the name of Connor stepped up to fulfill my needs in the war against bad breath. “Had brunch with a group of coworkers. Our waitress was horrible. But, the food was fantastic. I love their menu, there is something for everyone. I had the breakfast skillet off of the brunch menu. Will definitely go back to try some different menu items and hopefully get better service.”

“Restaurant was clean as a whistle! The manager and staff greeted us right away. They gave us some suggestions of what was hot on the menu. Food came within 10 minutes and was delicious! We enjoyed the staff! They made our experience nice and pleasant. Great place for me and my belly! Thank you”

“We have been going here for years and like it. This is the bar we go to when we want to dance and listen to good music, but not have to fight for room. It isn't as crowded as it used to be which is a plus and everyone is always nice!”
