Stopped for a quick bite on a 10 hour trip. Food was great and delivered quickly. Loved the eggs benedict.

This place is fan-freakin-tastic! The food is delicious and the staff is absolutely wonderful. I even had a regular customer (we were traveling) offer me the first bite of his pancake (I forget what kind, but it's great for borderline diabetics / diabetics). It may be paleo, but don't quote me. We will definitely patronize this local establishment when we're in Coeur d'Alene.

While driving from Spokane to Montana we wanted to find a nice hometown place to get a hearty breakfast and Michael D’s didn’t disappoint. Our server Diana was very accommodating and answered all of our questions about the menu. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with a pancake and my Girlfriend ordered the corned beef hash with the Saratoga style scrambled eggs.Everything was absolutely phenomenal. Seasoned well and cooked to perfection. As a chef and restaurant industry veteran, I can say beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Corned Beef Hash is the best I’ve ever had. We will be back anytime we are in the area!!

Good food, great service, but come on, $50 without the tip for simple breakfast for 2? 1 omelet and pancakes with eggs, + coffee.. That's it.Seriously, short stack (2) pancakes is $12 ?!?$6.00 per pancake???No thanks. Won't be back

I absolutely love it here. The staff are so friendly. The food is excellent. You can ask for crispy bacon and you will get it! I love their biscuits and gravy, the quality is better than most places in the area. The potatoes are seriously the best breakfast side in the whole Northwest.

One of the best breakfast I ever had, and the best toast I ever had (really thick cut slices of bread). The corned beef hash was homemade and not from a can. Eggs cooked perfectly. The breakfast potatoes were delicious (especially with a side of hollandaise sauce). The zucchini bread was amazing! Located not far from the high way. The service is friendly and the food comes out hot and fast. Definitely worth the stop, amazing breakfast!

Solid breakfast spot on the eastern side of CDA. The portions were large and food was good (not great, but good). I loved their zucchini bread - very yummy! Husband ordered the chicken fried steak with biscuits and gravy. He said the biscuit was top notch but the gravy was just ok - not a lot of sausage in it and a little watery but good flavor. The chicken fried steak was actually "meaty", if that's a thing. . Not used to actually tasting the meat in CFS because a lot of places you can only taste the breading because it's so thin. Cute old-mountain-diner vibe inside. We got there at 10:30 on a Thursday and were sat right away although there were a lot of full tables. Service was quick and efficient.

Stopped in for breakfast and scootched in just before the big breakfast crowd. Tried the zucchini bread (yum ), the biscuits and gravy (also yum), the pesto eggs benedict (so rich!), and more. Everything was amazing, and our waitress was attentive and kind. Definitely worth the drive!

Yummy food, excellent service, and a classic diner atmosphere. I can see why there's always a line out the door. Will definitely be back!
