“My parents are visiting from Boise, my in laws came over from Airway Heights and our office is right down the street so we decided to go to this off the wall kind of place called the Daft Badger. Funny name...best food in CDA!!! I am an avid (self proclaimed) pit master, I smoke any meat that I can get my hands on. That said, I usually get any dish that has smoked meat in it so I can judge the chef. It rarely goes well for the chefs smoked meat, mine is almost always way better! Holy Moly! This burnt end brisket in the Mac n Cheese was fantastic! Seriously best food in the area and it's just a brewery! Love it, KRISTIN is the kindest and most attentive waitress. I feel like I am using too many exclamation points here!“
“Every time I come in here there's new beers on tap. Very family-like vibe, with obvious regulars that interact with the staff as if they were old pals. Maybe they are. Good prices, and if you need food Syringa is right next door. Very cool, chill place.“
“Chalice Brewing probably had one of the most unique beers I had while traveling through the Idaho Chimney and I simply loved it and found it highly memorable. While chatting with a brewery owner from several stops before this one he recommended trying the TeaSB. He went on to say that Chalice Brewing didn't make a wide variety of beers(They do have quite a few guest taps when I was here though) but what they did make was excellent and to try this extra strong bitter beer.Living up to it's name quite well it indeed was an Extra Special Bitter along with Earl Grey Tea making a very special kind of beer. Earl Grey was definitely present while I enjoyed this beer as well as subtle flavors of biscuit and maltiness. For any beer explorer that desires something out of the ordinary then the TeaSB is definitely one to try. This brewery is located right in downtown Couer d'Alene so you can sneak it in easily in-between the gift shops and restaurants or if you are just wrapping up admiring the lake and want to kick back with a refreshing and unique libacial enhancement Chalice Brewing is worth going to for sure!“
“We were first timers here this weekend, beer and pizza were awesome! The service was top notch, the brew master took care of us and was pleasant and informative! Wish they offered a kids menu though! The dining area is quite small but quaint and warm. We are hoping they will staff up soon and open the upstairs! We will definitely be back, often!“
“Great hangout spot. Service is always friendly and the ambiance is always chill and relaxing. Their tap list is unique and it’s worth trying a few before you order, or just get a flight! There’s a taproom guitar available for anyone who plays which is always fun. We don’t come often enough but always have a great time!“

“Best Bavarian pretzel I've ever had! Waitress had zero urgency. Soup was delicious. But again, waitress couldn't bother bringing that out before the rest of the food. Head in the clouds. We waited a long time for our food. Also, no iced tea and I do not like lemonade or drink beer.“

It is a fun experience we highly recommend. The rootbeer. Kambuchas. Cidars and other beers are great. The growlers, which are the metal bottles are durable and resuseable.“

“Our second brewery today takes us to Twisted Slate which is brewery #286 for me. TS only has about seven tables but it's a very welcoming place. Wine is available as well. TS has a HUGE number of taps. I'm guessing about 45. They only had two of their own beers on tap, an amber and an IPA. Perfect as SWPFTD went with the amber and I got the IPA. Both solid beers. We didn't order food but it sounded good. Tri-tip sandwiches, Reuben's, clam chowder, etc. Definitely a good place to have a beer and hangout. Not real close to our place so we probably won't be here often but will stop in when we are able. I'd like to try that Reuben sandwich! If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you! I hope my confidence is not misplaced.“
