Just went to cafe Rio and it's trash. I use to like this place but they don't care about quality or service anymore. I felt disgusted, standing, watching these people put together my burrito and two salads. They had no rice and just flung food everywhere mixing everything, cross contaminating food. I was ready to walk right out in the middle of them making my stuff. But I was told to just calm down by my significant other. Also the servers keept wiping their noses on their arms as they made the food. All the employees made it obvious they didn't want to be there with their dead faces they all had and the girl in the back was grabbing the pre packages of everything and dumping the food in pots without a care in the world, it just look so sloppy. I recommend everyone stop going there until Cafe Rio management makes some changes. The service was horrible, I felt like we were being served by that mean old lady in the lunch line at school. While our mush was served on a tortilla. 1000% unsatisfied.

We came in at 3pm on Sunday March 24th. Definitely the worst experience we have had here. The service was horrible, it looked like all teenagers/inexperienced people working. Every one of them looked and acted miserable to be there. The person in the back was just glaring up at all the customers, very weird behavior, I understand not liking your job but that’s not the customers fault.. Not to mention It absolutely was not sanitary, twice I watched them put new food on top of old stuff when refilling the station. Not to mention the stations were so messy. Also watched them take the dirty crusty ladle out of the empty queso right into the fresh one. Everyone was wiping their noses on their arms, even one with his hand. I swear I watched a girl pick up the little foil piece they put on the edge of your bowl out of the garbage and back on my bowl. Higher ups/corporate needs to get into this restaurant and teach their staff 1. How to be freakin friendly. And 2. Sanitation protocols

This used to be a favorite for my husband and I. Consistently delicious food, great customer service and good drinks! However, in the last few months we have watched it go downhill. Staff seems like they couldn’t care less, I’ve watched one particular team member angrily throw a plate of food into the trash on TWO separate occasions. Lately when we stop by to eat, they are out of one or more ingredients….every time.I really hope they get it together soon, this place used to be great. I’ve talked to several other people that have had the same sad experiences as of late.

I ordered the taco salad. I added Fajita vegetables, paid extra and they were not added. I also ordered chips and salsa. The chips were so stale I couldn't even chew them.

Wednesday early evening i noticed a young employee whose manager was screaming at her threw food all over both her and the employee as well as the food that was being made she went screaming and storming off as she was kicking things i asked the young girl if that was her manager as the girl was continuing to finish what she was making I won’t be back

Every. Single. Time. I order from this location, my food is wrong. When I DoorDash Cafe Rio, I have to ask the dasher to check my order before they leave because it was always wrong. I started doing Curbside pickup and still, my order is always wrong. When they make the food right, it's delicious, but I don't know what's going on. They always do the opposite of the ticket they receive or smother it in with the exact ingredient you don't want. Managers, you need to start training your staff on how to read tickets and follow direction.

Our first time going last night to Café Rio, I was shocked at a price for a bean and cheese burrito for my child was almost $12.00 That's crazy. My older daughter got a nachos and was charge for guacamole, sour cream pico de gallo and she didn't even get that on her nachos.

After a long day at work wanted to grab a quick bit and go home, tonight was the first and last time I will ever go to Cafe Rio on Blue lakes Blvd. The staff was very rude and rushed us through as fast as they could mind you, we were the only ones in line to order. They didn't have any rice and said the wait would be 30 mins or more.

The workers working just now are so incredibly rude. I'm furious.I had my husband go in to get meals for 4 adults. When he told the worker that he sighed loudly and said, "Are you serious? " Then got visibly upset when my husband said yes.The worker tore a tortilla while trying to put together a meal and got so mad that he threw it in the trash can and ended up knocking the plate over and then got upset again and kicked the plate under the bench.The worker then got mad and tried to reject him when one meal had requested enchilada style and rolled his eyes after my husband asked if he could please just do it. At this point he was incredibly uncomfortable.There were multiple food items or sauces that he was told they were out of because the worker didn't want to make it.Then when my husband (who is much more quiet) STILL tried to get our meals and ordered chips and guac at the register the lady got mad and said "You should have asked him (gestering to the angry worker)." My husband, who didn't want to ask him asked, "Can I not ask you? ". She then said, "Nope! Do you want a drink? "Seriously? I didn't find out about this until we had left and we were on a tight schedule so we couldn't go back (which is also why my husband just uncomfortably pushed through it).Because of the workers refusal to make new food items or sauces or even try, all of our meals are 'off' or wrong. Why on earth people with attitudes that horrible are allowed to work in service positions is beyond me. Unless this is made right, you can bet we will never be back.
