Always a great experience when we go here. We travel by train and it's easy to find and get to.The staff is great, friendly and kind. Prices are fair and the candy tastes great!! Perfect place to stop for a treat. Can't wait to go back!!

This ice cream shop is a step above the rest. You immediately smell the sweet scent from the entrance which adds to the experience. For this particular Kilwins, there's only street parking, so there can be a bit of a walk if the downtown gets busy. However, the sign is brightly lit and easy to spot. They offer a wide assortment of desserts, including fudge, caramel apples (made in-house), chocolate-dipped cookies, and of course, ice cream. The worker happily gave us fudge samples which was a nice surprise. I tried the chocolate cherry walnut which was delicious. They had over 20 ice cream flavors to choose from. I had the toasted coconut. The flavor was great, but it was elevated from the bits of crunchy chocolate pieces. Unfortunately, there's no seating available, so you'll have to eat standing inside or find somewhere else outside. Prices are on the higher end, but I'd consider it a gourmet ice cream shop.

Went thinking I would get cake. When I got there I saw that those big things that look like pound cake slices in the pictures are actually fudge. I left with chocolate raisins and almond bark. They are very good. This was during Taste of Arlington Heights, and there was a long line for ice cream. I suppose this means that it is good because the locals like it. I will get ice cream next time I'm in the area.

You walk in to a beautiful display of deliousness. Homemade candies, dipped marshmellow bars and fudge. I am a surgarholic so the shops appearance is magical. The shop had lots of ice cream and you could smell the homemade waffle cones. The prices are what you expect from a top tier candy shop. Ok so why not 5 stars i wanted more ice cream choices with some more topping offers.

Just do not deal with Madeline. She was so incredibly rude. I nearly left the store. I ended up asking to deal with someone else,Jack, who was very helpful. Please for Madeline or train her on how to treat customers

Glad I don't have to drive to Saugatuck for Kilwins nowArlington Heights does make it nice by closing streets and allowing businesses all of this outside seating.

Great selections for anyone with several sweet teeth. Fam, I forgot to take a pic of the chocolate covered pecan carmel taffy apple and chocolate covered pecan turtle pretzel rod that I purchased. Everything was delicious and the customer service was great!! Fam, I be so ready to eat, that's why I forget to take my pics. But I'm going to do better. They have a different assortment of goodies as well as ice cream. Go give them a try if you haven't already.

Kilwins has an opulent selection of treats. Their chocolate covered strawberries in particular are SO good. Friendly, helpful staff too. Definitely give them a try!

Are you kidding me? Stopped in there for some Valentine's gifts. Have never seen such expensive prices anywhere ever. Bought two little tiney pieces of their toffee to try and it was $8 and not much good. Whoever owns this store must be poised to gouge people to keep the store open. The products aren't that good and certainly don't command sky high prices. Sad...

Taffy apples are to die for Nice, clean place. Staff were okay, but the other Kilwins I've been to - staff at least let me try a sample of ice cream before I've bought it ...

Vanilla ice cream is exceptionally creamy. Hot fudge became stiff unusually fast.

I'm not normally in Arlington Heights, but I popped in Kilwin's last week and was not disappointed by the S'mores ice cream. The chocolate favors are on the more expensive side (I think $9 for a box of 9 chocolates) but I suppose that's understandable given they make it in-house.
