Sweet general bakery is located right inside the park to shop grocery store. There's places to sit in the food court area, but most people seemed to be picking up their cakes to-go. Overall, the cake and dessert options are cute and they have tons of options (from fruit to chocolate flavors). I got a Oreo parfait and thought it was just ok. It had Oreo cream, Cocoa Puffs, and chocolate balls. The only reason I'm slightly deterred by the experience is because I felt the prices were slightly steep for the portion of food you get, but they were well made.

Wanted to order a cake but got the run around that they can't make the cake based on the design. Adjusted the cake design similar to what they normally do and from their past work, then was told they don't take orders 2-3 mos advance, then was later told the owner is taking a vacation around that time and is unsure if they can make the cake.

When I rushed there early in the morning, I was told by their staff that the other staff sold them, and then wx didn't even apologize and didn't answer at all, I have nothing to say about this kind of service attitude and quality, and the cake shop also not only this one...

I ordered a custom cake (decoration and black sesame flavor) from Sweet General remotely for my mom's birthday as I wasn't in Chicago. They dropped off the cake at 88 Marketplace at Bao Bae Bakery for me, which was a more convenient pickup location being in the city. Super appreciate the service option to do this! Seamless ordering and communication via Instagram. The cake was loved by my friends and family, not too sweet and strong black sesame flavor. Definitely want to order from Sweet General again in the future!

These guys are really sweet as they try to accommodate customer’s requests as much as possible and be prompt on replies and updates.And the cake…. Best I have ever tasted. Everyone of us LOVED IT. Not too sweet. Not too much cream. Just perfect.The roller pin topping was my addition.

I had just finished having my lunch and wanted something sweet but not to heavy and I was recommended the mango pomela cake. It has been by far the best dessert I ve had after stuffing myself. Vanilla based cake with cream and mango . I just can't explain it with words you have to try it. Pictures doesn't do justice to it.

This Asian bakery cafe opened up in a strip mall next to some of my other favorite Asian things. The space is really nice. The cases were filled with beautiful pastries I have never really heard of. My knowledge of Asian desserts consists of...Thai custard, green tea ice cream, mochi, mango sticky rice and taro bubble tea. I ordered the coconut milk pudding. Holy crap. This is next level. More people should try this place so that they can stay open and I can try all of these things once a week. It's definitely a cute spot for date night or summer frozen treats. Can't wait to try this cake cup I hear so much good stuff about!

I tried a lot of sweet general desserts, all of them are delicious, not very sweet and not greasy. The purple potato and taro puree is a must ?, the meat floss bread is an excellent breakfast✌️, the general bowl with coconut milk is super refreshing
