French fries were a great add on super cheap, salad was perfect with homemade ranch that was awesome. The wifi was strong and calm and quiet atmosphere. Everything I needed today!“

“Solid breakfast choice in the area, which isn't as dense with options some of the areas a bit closer to the city or the Palatine/Arlington Heights area. The restaurant is pretty large and not super busy on a Sunday morning. The decor really pushes the rooster and almost farmhouse style theme throughout. Portion sizes are fairly large and prices are a bit higher than what you'll find elsewhere but still reasonable. Food here was pretty good, I didn't care much for the specialty coffee drinks but find the breakfast options to be quite solid. I like the spongy feeling of the waffle french toast which tastes fairly eggy and has a unique texture that was enjoyable. The corned beef skillet was fairly balanced in terms of protein and potatoes, with plenty of corned beef. It wasn't overly salty, though it seemed like an additional element could've helped to tie the different components of the dish together. The egg white delight omelette was quite large and airy and prepared quite well, this is a nice healthy option when served with a side of fruit. Overall, if you're in the area shopping at nearby Heinen's or Mariano's, this is a nice and convenient option. You can enjoy a meal here casually with friends and choose from a fairly varied menu.“

“Came in on a Monday to catch up with a friend and this was the perfect destination. We got there on the early side and enjoyed a glass of wine from and excellent wine list 1 a lot of unique offerings. Our waitress was great, letting us taste a small sip before selecting our wine. We moved on to the pumpkin seed hummus; delish and unique. Wish it was served with fresh rather than oiled/buttered toast but it was still delish. I opened for the zucchini noodles as a main and also enjoyed. The restaurant is bright and airy, when the weather warms up the patio looks lovely.“

“They got us in right away for our reservation for eight, the food was plenty for the money our server had a couple of issues, for instance he brought me out my soup but I could not eat it unit it had cooled off because he never brought me a spoon so I had to wait for my sister-in-law was finished with her soup so I could use it. Then when we asked for more sour cream and butter for the baked potatoes again it never showed up. Unit getting our food wrapped up we also asked for extra sauce for the lamb lollipops. “We had a reservation for Easter Brunch for 11 and a high chair. When we arrived it was a bar height table. I mentioned it to them. They were very gracious apologized and corrected the problem within 15 minutes. This was my first time at the Oak at The Glen. Nice variety at the buffet, great omelets, crap cakes, paiella, lox and bagels, fruit, desserts. Nice selection for children. Everyone we had contact with was cheerful and seemed happy we were there. We picked it up, and the bags had exactly what was in them per order. “I was always resistant to trying bar food but my son loves going there with his friends so, I had to give it a try and to my surprise, the food was absolutely amazing. I used to only order the sample platter, steak sandwich and chicken wings but last night I tried their steak fajitas and it was surprisingly spectacular. Their margarita didn't taste as authentic as the food made by authentic Mexicans. However the manager was kind enough to offer me an amazing old fashioned and the bartender nailed it making my experience even more special. I'm not a fan of dive bars but they make you feel very welcome definitely turning into one of my regular places to go!“

It seemed like all the families and friends were coming here after church.We were sitting next to a table that was celebrating the grandma's birthday who just turned into her 94 year old! It was so warm and sweet.Elly's Pancake House was for all ages, from kids, teenagers, young couples to 40s and elderly. This place is definitely being loved by everyone.I ordered Chicken and Bacon Waffle and my boyfriend ordered Skillet, as always, and he said Elly's Skillet is almost the Best Number 1 Skillet he've ever had. The Waffle was sooo great and their side salad was very huge. I mean, their waffle is really different than others - it's thick, crisp and delicious... Also it actually contains bacon in the waffle dough....Yum!We also had some pancakes on the side and it was good too.Only one minor thing that they can improve is their staffing. I think they need more servers, I didn't get a refill for my coffee during my entire meal. “While visiting with some friends. It was recommended to me to try Wildfire. This restaurant definitely had a cozy feel and laid back atmosphere. We started off with jumbo shrimp and crab cakes. The crab cakes were phenomenal. The crab cakes were probably the best I have had. Then the table ordered the grilled chicken club Sandwich. The Smoked Salmon and then the NY Steak Sandwich with fries. Also we got roasted vegetables which was amazing. The overall experience was okay, the service was a little slow. But the restaurant was packed. Overall I would give my experience and food a 7.7. Service could have been better. But the restaurant was nice, but overall the people made the experience better. If you are ever in the area, definitely give wildfire a try!“

“The single party cheeseburger I had was very simple but tasted great. You can tell the beef is fresh and high quality. It melts in your mouth. It’s a pretty big patty so you probably don’t need a double unless you’re starving. I added the grilled onions and those only amplified the taste.
