Our server was very polite and helpful. She pointed out some great menu suggestions. We went with the spinach crepe and Pierogi combo. Both were so good and tasted super fresh. We can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu items. Great prices and atmosphere.

A childhood friend is in town for 3 months, and we go out at least once a week to eat “Chicago”. Naturally, polish food is at the top of this list and we found this gem in Barrington. The interior is really nice, complete with a cool bar. Darek the owner couldn’t be nicer, and suggested different dishes and beers to try (close to a dozen Polish ones). The food was outstanding! The large portions allow for sharing; a great value. We’ve been twice, and look forward to trying the items we have not had the next visit.

If anyone likes Polish food, the POLISH AMERICAN BISTRO in Barrington is amazing. So authentic, delicious, clean & owners are very friendly. Small, casual with great desserts too. They give you plenty to eat. If Borscht is soup of the day, I highly recommend it. 8 of us loved our various meals & will return! We want what the other guy had haha!Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking right in front. Plenty of room to wheel even in the bathroom. Appropriate hand grips & toilette height.

Took my Mom here for her Birthday. We had the best time and the goulash potato pancakes were soooo good. The presentation was fantastic and the owner were so kind and welcoming for our special occasion. Really hope you try this place and spread the word, its a gem for sure.Kid-friendliness: Owner and staff were so nice to my son, giving him some fresh bake goods.

Great food. We took 3 deserts from the fablous display cabinet home with us. That makes it easy to have a couple of days worth of treats. The multi layered napoleon is superb.

Just like Babcia cooked! Tasty pierogi. Mouth watering goulash. Oh but those potato pancakes will have you craving more for days to come. Cost restaurant seats in booth, tables or bar side. Quick friendly service. Well thought out menu & will come back for Ukrainian Borsch.

It's been over two weeks since my family and I visited The Polish American Bistro. It would be remiss of me not to leave a wonderful review of this lovely restaurant! Ania and Darek, the owners, are the nicest and most hospitable people ever! Since I have family in Poland, it was fun to talk to them about their homeland. Now about their food . . . it's completely amazing! I ordered galumpki (ground beef and rice wrapped in cabbage). The tomato sauce on top was so delicious, it spun circles around the sauce my grandma used to make (sorry, Grandma!)! My husband ate a breaded pork cutlet with mashed potatoes. SO tasty! And my daughter opted for a cheeseburger that looked and tasted so great that we even returned the next day to order another cheeseburger to go! Our entrees were accompanied by a side of two types of salad - one made of marinated red cabbage, and the other was their super delectable authentic Polish sour cream, cucumbers and dill. As you can tell, our dinner itself was a 5-star experience. Last but not least, I must discuss their DESSERTS! When you walk into Ania and Darek's restaurant, your eyes will immediately be drawn to their multi-tier display of desserts. Unfortunately, since our stomachs were full after our delicious dinner, we couldn't even think of dessert. However, take-home was still an option! So I asked Ania to escort me to the dessert case and tell me about her sweet treats. It turns out she owns a bakery in another suburb, and all the desserts are made on location at the bakery FROM SCRATCH! So we took a few home (see photo), ate them the next evening, and they did not disappoint! I loved them all, especially the vanilla custard inside the eclair and fruit tart! The chocolately hazelnut dessert was a Kinder Bueno torte. I want to go back and try more of these amazing treats! You should really go check out The Polish American Bistro, whether or not you are Polish! They have food for everyone. Dziękuję Ania and Darek!

After walking in and being seated, I was shocked at the outrageous prices - $22 for breaded pork, $6 for a bowl of soup - everything is outrageously priced. Obviously, people in Barrington are willing to pay anything & then brag about how "reasonable" it is. I can go to Polish buffets that cost $11, and perhaps the food is not as good as this place. I ordered something minimal, and ate it (not that impressed) & was sorry I ever went to such a highly overpriced restaurant. NEVER again.

Excellent food and service, perfect for a meal after church!I had the pork chop with egg & mushrooms. Breading was great, and seasoned as I was eating a homemade meal (not too salty as a typical take out can be). Salad was traditional and delicious as well.Highly recommended!
