This place is great! Our waitress was helpful and friendly.

Very neat and welcoming place. They provide large portions and for fair prices. I loved the meals very much and the staff were super attentive and chatty. Highly recommended.

Big, delicious sandwiches, small town feel, amazing owners and staff.Edit. Ruined the feel. Changed the proportions and recipes. Made it into something not special.

I absolutely love their dishes and customer service, excellent location close to my home. The cashiers are always nice. I highly recommend this place.

Food has been getting better since they made some changes to the menu and added “The Best of Boloney’s” section, it is very similar food to the original Boloney’s, but some new stuff too.

This spot never fails to deliver. They serve good dishes for convenient rates, there are no long waits even when the spot is busy.

I know that this will never be Baloney's again but I don't see myself going back here even if I do go to the Catlow for a show. The service was terrible and amazingly snarky and rude. I understand that it was a high school girl but a small amount of professionalism should be excepted as there was no crowd yet. She seemed to be the only one there and they seemed to be out of everything, but we only learned that once we ordered and paid. When we asked for a discount of sorts or some of our money back because we weren't receiving about half of what we ordered we were told no and that there was nothing that they could do to help us. So not only were we frustrated about the service, we waited for over twenty mins for our meal and had to take it into the theatre to eat. While I bit into my sandwich I found a long hair in it. I was grossed out and didn't finish. I didn't even bother going back to talk to anyone because I'm sure I would have been told that there was nothing they could do. As a side note the eatery was incredibly dark, like that didn't turn lights on. It was a very terrible experience

Huge sandwiches served by high school students makes this place a fun go-to restaurant to stop at before heading to the Catlow Movie Theater next door. A Barrington classic for sure.

I couldn't have given a higher rating for the previous business here (Boloney's) which was by the same owner. The prices were fair, the service unbeatable, and the food was outstanding. However, since one of the two owners sadly passed away a few years ago, the other owner inexplicably revamped the entire restaurant... the name, the menu, and even the style of the restaurant decor to be more "chic" and "hip" to cater to what is perceived as the snooty crowd of Barrington (which included the newly added sale of alchohol). Not only can I say that the change was unwarranted, but the majority of the customers there were down to earth, wonderful people, elderly people, or families who couldn't care less about the chic vibe provided and were more put off by the changes, especially since many aspects of the previously cherished vibe was attributed to the warmth of Roberta and were nostalgic to many or all of the customers which was appreciated. The chic vibe was cold, and considering that The Catlow is a historic building, the changes are inappropriate. The food is plain, boring, and unimpressive. I don't know if they also changed vendors, but if so... it was a bad idea. The draw of alcohol is not enough to ignore the blatant raise in prices for food that is just not good! The owner would be doing himself and the rest of Barrington a huge favor by returning to the nostalgic warmth of Boloney's, with the decor, food, and pricing. It seems that he may slowly be realizing that, as they recently returned some of the retired menu items from Boloney's. But more changes should be made, then they may see more business flooding in. And realistically, if that was not cutting it to keep the business open, I'd gladly be willing to pay a little extra for BOLONEY'S food, and not the poor excuse for food they're currently peddling.

Best food, friendly staff members, always awesome character. They charge fair rates and the food quality is great. I recommend this place.

Drove one hour for their amazing cheese and Carmel popcorn which I've been having a craving for the last few months. Got home and I swear this was a 3 year old window display. Only then after much googling I find the sad story of the original owners. If I could have given a zero, I would have

Disappointing! No more giant sandwiches and sides. There was more bread to my sandwich than meat! I won't be back....looking for a new deli!

A pleasant surprise. Seeing classic bologny's options was great to see. I got my usual a Lilly mounster with bacon but had it made on sour dough since that was an option. I was given a warm sandwich which was initially irritating but after a bite I welcomed the change. Not sure if this was a mistake but I'd highly recommend it this way. I still miss the OG but the juicy turkey and some stand out bread made this sandwich something worth talking about.

We will never go here with the new owners. Roberta knew how to run a business and make people welcome. The sandwiches were the best, worth the money. Those days are long gone. I highly recommend to NOT go here.
