Berwyn's best places for Mexican cuisine are in our list.
“The food is always good here. It's a very casual environment. Small restaurant with limited seating. One downfall is that they do not split group checks. But they do take credit cards now, so that's a plus. They are not skimpy on the meats in any dish. We always leave full!“
“For Friday date night it was perfect! Appreciated the security safety first right. Service was good, they waste no time to clean up. The food, best i had, seriously returning for the food for sure. It was authentic, homemade delicious. We started with a bucket of Estrella beers, tried the Michelada since they are known for the best of Chicago and a cantarito. So good! Music, TVs, everything was nice. For a Friday it was busy but it felt very chill. It was a perfect Friday night. Thank you!“
“The food is great . Caldo de mariscos is great. Only bad thing that the waitress they need to wake up and smell the coffee and pay more attention to there customers not one single time they asked me if I was ok or I needed anything to on that side poor service. But the food is great.“
“Moved to berwyn about six months ago and am mad I waited so long to try this place. Service is fast (they get really busy with togos so times may very) and friendly. Big portions at very affordable prices. Everything is cooked perfectly. Steak is juicy, ribs are tender and chicken is roasted with a crunchy skin and tented inside.“
“The food is so good good drinks but the food is kind of expensive. $16 for some truffle fries they are wrapped in a cup fried hard. Their good but $16 come on man. Then 3 chicken tacos $17 the first time I ordered this was on a Thursday I got 2 margaritas I was wondering why my bill was so darn high . When I ordered food this Thursday I found out. I ordered pasta this Thursday that was almost $30 like I said the food is great shout-out to the cook. The venue is gorgeous from the outside to the inside they remodeled it's beautiful. I been coming here for years when it was la Quinta go back to those prices ..“
“100% recommended, I loved the atmosphere, there was a man singing and I had a date, it was a perfect breakfast ? the food was delicious, if you like nopal, I recommend that you order it, it was delicious, the red chilaquiles were very spicy. I would definitely come again. What a nice experience I had. “
“I tried this new place. The food came out slowly but I forgive it because it’s new. I got quesabirria tacos and a pupusa. The food was very good and I liked that I could see them pressing fresh tortillas for me. I will be back to try more menu items.“
“I've been here a few times, and the food is always good. I always get al pastor tacos. The margaritas are great! My biggest complaint is that the tacos are on the smaller side. Even with that complaint, if I'm in the area and have a taste for margaritas and tacos, I'd go back.“
“Late night drive thru. There was no line behind us. Order taker was a little impatient with us needing time to look at the menu. Told her 4 times we hadn't been there in a long time. My out of town visitor was looking for something she had in another state. Food smelled wonderful. I didn't order anything for myself.“
“It was an amazing experience. I had the chorizo con papas skillet and my bestie had the chilaquiles breakfast dish. We were celebrating her birthday as well. Food was fantastic. The service impeccable!!! One of the guys even went out of his way to hold my hand and help me down the stairs. I recently had foot surgery and I am in a medical boot. That gesture came out of left field especially since I’m male!!! I felt truly appreciated there. Highly recommend and definitely will be going back for more!!!!“
“It's been a while since I stopped by to have dinner at El MEX and let me tell that it never disappoints. I come to this restaurant just to have Carne en su jugo and my goodness it's amazing. Rich in flavor with all the ingredients that the real carne en su jugo had estilo Jalisco. You can't go wrong!!! Big props to chef Pepin!“
“I haven't had food with such sabor (flavor) in so long that wasn't cooked at home. Not salty at all. Great service. I'm definitely going back. Ordered the yuca rellenas, papa rellenas, Pollo encebollado, and the lechon. We were surprised with toasted French bread with homemade guava butter!!!!!“
