“The food is outstanding! People that I know live pretty far from here. Come here for the food. The only drawback is definitely to find out when they're open. Cause they do have small open hours. But other than that, the flavor and freshness omg yum ?“
“We drove all the day from Des Moines just to try the birria and we were not disappointed it was the best birria we have ever tried ! Their service was amazing they made us feel at home. We are definitely driving back to Chicago just to eat here again !“
“To be in a small space does not mean to have small flavor in food. I tasted the tacos during the pandemic health global issue. The taste, flavor and stuff, just captivated my attention because is one of the closest flavor I remember from Mexico. Condiments are exactly right and we’ll prepared. The menu also include other delightful dishes. When dine-in, The service is made by several ladies who bring a pretty good service and attention. Few places the waitresses smile when taking your order. Fast served and well prepared with an extraordinary flavor. This place deserves a high preference when it comes to tacos in this area. Totally and absolutely well recommended.“
“The chicken is 1000/10! We usually come here take out for bdays and Father's Day/Mother's Day and they never disappoint! Last year we forgot to order until the very last minute and they still had a large order ready in 20 minutes. Very kind staff too!“
“Nice spot. Lamb chops were delicious! Some of the best eating I've had in a long while! Friends smoke, I dont... wasn't too bad in the room we were in. It's a cozy layout. Fun spot to go to, I'm making a trip back for sure.“
“I have been a patron here since the day the opened. It's always had great service and great foods. Prices are very reasonable. The choice of cooking style here is very delicious to me. Portions are just enough. All these years and still the same great place its been.“
“Best tacos and quesadillas around. Always cooked right in front of you. Best comfort food.... EVER. Drive about a half hour to get there, and it is worth it! Hours are great, it’s always the same great staff. If it’s been a bad day, if you need to celebrate, or just want some great food at a great price, go to Mr. Taco!“
“This place is quite good. Looks like a neighborhood kitchen and tastes great like it. Very healthy portion of guacamole. In my opinion could use a little seasoning, my lady dressed ours up. The chicken tacos were good and moist, well seasoned. The steak torta was the star for me thought. I'm usually a big eater so I was surprised when it filled me up with one. Everything was tasty, thanks a lot!“
“Italian combo is the bomb, they also have real lemons in their Italian ice. I ordered one and ate it driving off, I was mad as hell that I didn't buy two, prices are unbeatable as well as the quality they provide. Will be my go to place for Italian beef combo.“
“Just finished my carnitas (Rib & meat only). They were EXQUISITE. Second time I've visited this small place and I am convinced that there is no need to go to Chicago for an excellent carnitas. Besides the food, everyone is very attentive and they are very CLEAN throughout the whole food handling process.“

“With the atrocious rise of prices these days, especially with seafood, I have been avoiding seafood restaurants because I know I'm going to pay alot and although it might be good, might not be alot (I'm speaking from experience, I used to work at a restaurant where we sold 2-2oz lobster tails for $24!). But I decided to come to this particular spot as it was a special occasion, a special recommendation and I do love seafood and may I say if did not disappoint. For what we paid I think we got a great deal! The oysters were fresh and big, complimentary small side of fish ceviche, and our entreés were excellent cooked, and great flavor. The server was very attentive and professional. Of course all my interactions were in Spanish so maybe that helped, I also showed up on a Tuesday afternoon because I had waiting and you get better service when it's slow regardless. I worked as a bartender for 8 years so I'm not that into loud crowds or "high-energy" (obnoxious) ambience anymore. We had a great time. Come over if you like good seafood, and I believe this place turns in to some kind of dance club at nights as well. Overall great experience!“
“Such an authentic gem in Oak Park. Vincente Fernandez is playing on the tv. I ordered the cafe de la olla, which I haven't had in forever and was such a delicious comfort to drink on a cold morning. My friends ordered the green chilaquiles and tried the Diablo sauce, which lived up to its name. All were delicious but next time I want to try just a regular order of Rojas chilaquiles. The line was out the door mid morning on a Sunday but the wait was worth it. It's pretty clean here but packed on the regular. Definitely recommend.“
