I'm so disappointed in Steak and Shake. I used to love the charm of the quick table service that made you feel like you were in a small diner and the interactions with the servers. This place is cold now... not temperature -wise, but the atmosphere. Bloomington, IL Wow!! Way to slack off Steak and Shake! Get rid of all your staff except cooks. You have to order food from and pay at a kiosk (and you have the balls to ask for a tip.....yeah, right!!!). Your tables are littered with empty glasses from the previous guests, the trash is overflowing in the bathroom, and the floor is so dirty and sticky that your shoes stick. My burger was cooked just as I requested... like the way steak burgers used to be made... pressed flat, crispy edges, cheese melted... because it was left on the grill a bit longer.. most importantly--they honored my most special request -- no seasoning salt.
