“10 o'clock at night coming from Midway airport no place is open. Everything is closed. We've been in the air for 4 1/2 hours. We left a half an hour late plane was supposed to be in at 7:30. Plane got in at 8:15 getting the luggage picking up our car on the way home we stopped at two different restaurants which were closed and I remembered Huckfinn place. I haven't been in a couple years but it's on the way to our house from the airport so my wife and I went to Huck friends got there about 1015. I had a saladand Thanksgiving, turkey with stuffing and veggies and my wife had a omelette with goat cheese and spinach and everything was great for a restaurant laid at night. The waitress was pleasant this place got a great review from David Haynes who does reviews on WGN Radio Friday morning, so it's an easy five star.“

“Classic old school restaurant. They have a.very nice diners outer as well as booths and tables. The veteran service staff was on point. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy. It was some of the best I have had in Chicagoland. The biscuits were nothing special but the gravy was on point. I also had some eggs which were good, but that is to be expected.“

Everybody knows Dunkin' has thee best tater tots but I've noticed some locations will not cook them properly so U get left with potatoe mushy mess but when Nicky makes em they are a lil taste of heaven. “Beware this place may become addictive for donut lovers. I think once you visit you will be visiting again for sure! I stopped by to grab just a couple donuts but ended up buying a dozen and a half. I couldn't decide what flavor donuts to buy so I bought three flavored donut including maple/bacon, snickers, blueberry dream and plain. They are mini sized donuts that are made fresh in shop. I also bought a large cold brew with milk which had a good flavor. The lady that helped me was very patient while waiting for me to decide on which donuts to buy. The atmosphere is friendly and seems to be popular with a lot of local people. I will be back for sure! I want to try a few more of the flavored donuts. There is a place to sit outside and a walk up window for a quick stop and shop. They apparently have a lunch as well which includes a hot dog, chips drink and donuts (see menu board photo). Overall, this little donut shop is a great addition to the shopping area near the train stop and for locals.“

Google my last name through Darien Grandpa was the first police chief of Darien the founding father of Darien the president of the Lions Club in Darien president of the bank in Darien my mother retired from CPD I was taking classes to be a cop all my state licenses are gone Alsip Illinois Sergeant Dollar ruined my life and I was running a cash register. Alsip Illinois Sergeant dollar played the judge the jury and the Executioner when he wrote that letter and I was running a register I'm going to put this in every business in Alsip Illinois so when you see him come in hide your name tag or something because Alsip Illinois Sergeant dollar has no problem writing to DMV saying you're too crazy to drive while you're running a register if anything he needs to smoke more cigarettes and Hot Box people in cars and calm down cuz people that smoke cigarettes have mental illness not somebody's struggling trying to go to school and do the best they can to make a life for themselves while they're running a register ruin your life.“
“I’m not from this area, I actually live in NW Indiana but sometimes come out this way for work. This is by far the best DD I’ve been too, besides the location in Munster, IN. No matter how busy they are, the line always moves fast, my drinks are always made well, my food is always done fresh (I get the avocado toast) and the toast is crispy but not burnt. Anywhere else the avocado toast is usually soggy or cold. But not at this location. The employees are always so friendly and nice. Never had an issue ever. All I know is that the DD locations in NW Indiana need to take some lessons from the management/staff at the Alsip location because they’re doing something right. Wish I could get this type of service at the other locations. Good job! ?“

“I had a great experience. The Chicago dog was amazing. He had a great flavor and fresh taste. The jerk sausage was also really good. The fries are also excellently seasoned and toasted. The vegan burger was also tasty. I don't live in Chicago, but I would definitely come again. The customer service was great and they were very nice. The wait was long, but it was worth the wait. The maple bacon donuts are perfection, and the cinnamon sugar is also amazing. Even as a standalone donut shop, this place could thrive. Would recommend.“

“There coffee is always fresh and so are there muffins. The bathroom is super clean which I find to be important. The store is kept very clean at all times. The workers and staff are nice, sweet and they very fast and will get your coffee ready in 15 seconds even when they are at there busiest. I buy there frozen coffee drink. And all there flavors are fresh and they serve to please the customer. These workers are very hard workers, the manager is also nice. He knows what he is doing. I recommend you won't be disappointed at this location.Parking: There is plenty of parking. “So I am a frequent customer of Metric Coffee (which is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Chicago and possibly ever.) one day I took a chance on grabbing one of their brite pastries, and PTL I did because it was one of the flakiest and buttery biscuit I've ever had. I've gone on to have their ham and cheese pastry (which uses béchamel sauce..drool worthy) and their tomato pesto pastry which is legit some of the best pesto I've ever tasted. But after going there on 3 different occasions I feel comfortable leaving this review.
