*** Attention *** Brookfield Zoo warns customers of false advertisement for discounted anniversary tickets The advertisement offers four zoo tickets for $6.95, connecting the deal to a promotion for the zoo's 90th anniversary. The zoo said in a Facebook post that the offer and website are not affiliated with Brookfield Zoo Chicago and are a scam. NBC News Chicago 5 Stars for Brookfield Zoo

I took my son to the zoo and he had an amazing time! Their Hamil Family play plzone was great for my toddler to roam around and explore. We also enjoyed the Hamil Family Wild encounters. We saw the goats, birds, llamas and lots of space for kiddos to run around. We will definitely be coming back once the dolphins attraction is back for the season. Pro tip: Park in the south lot it's closer to the toddler areas.

I am a member and I get SO FRUSTRATED when I come here and everything is closed without any kind of warning. Merry go round, petting zoo, indoor birds, underwater sea lions, the indoor restaurant. Everything we look forward to on these gloomy days. Should we call ahead of time?

The zoo is free on Saturday through January so is the children's zoo. While the tram is not running and the dolphin show is closed all the other buildings are open. You can rent wagons snd I rented a reserved electric scooter ( you just call days before to reserve it). The food court is open now. They are currently building a giant habitate for their gorrillas and they are always improving constantly. The parakeet house where you feed them for $2 is worth it.

After visiting many times over the years I decided to become a member which saves a tremendous amount on entry and parking fees. Park is clean and usually many food / drink places are open. We like to purchase the Mold-a-Rama characters from the machines. Plan on visiting a few more times before the years end

I have been going to this zoo my whole life. I enjoy the exhibits and the different special events they have to offer. I have done the beer fest, 5k, holiday lights, etc. If you want to avoid crowds, here are some tips. 1. Go on a weekday around 1 pm. Field trips are leaving and less screaming kids around. I did this recently and had one of my best experiences. Animals were active, and I got to be close to the exhibits. 2. If you have to go on the weekend, get there as soon as they open. Crowds really pick up around noon. Stroller central at that point. 3. If you go often, consider a membership.

The zoo itself feels a little dated, but it remains a fun place to visit for people of all ages. Joining their program saves up on parking and gives you extra tickets to bring friends over for a visit.

I used to come here all the time and it has been about 5 years since I was last here. Normally, this place is 5/5 for me. However, with all of the construction inside the zoo and about 50% of the animals present, it's a 3/5. You'll find many exhibits are closed and some of the animals missing from the smaller buildings. It doesn't help that the two food trucks and most of the restaurants were either closed and only sold drinks/chips. I went on a Friday afternoon. Admission prices should be less if they have less to offer the public. Basically a ghost town once you get inside. I recommend not coming here this year.

Lovely time but part is under construction They let you bring in your food and drinks Late hours are the best no harsh sun Lots to do and see Perfect for kids! Lots of sprinklers throughout to keep you cool

Brookfield Zoo is the main one of the Chicago area. It's the biggest. Lots to do and see. Getting here is a convenient thing about it if using public transportation, and you save on the parking to use for other stuff here. The prices are already high, so avoid paying even more. A lot of cool and interesting facts. It's 216 acres and has more than 450 species. There's certainly lots to see for sure, meaning there may be enough to be a regular visitor. It was opened in 1934 and was groundbreaking literally. They used ditches and moats instead of cages to separate animals from each other and visitors. It's about $30 for adults. That sucks but it's almost worth it because there's so much to check out. Also there's some free days in January and February, but it sucks because not that much is going on when it's cold. There's also exhibits that won't be open, so it's not a good time to be here. Get a membership for about $109 for individuals and slightly higher for families. You can go as many times as you want in a year. Best way to get here depends on how you come in. South entrance is best for getting off at the Metra station. It's still a pretty long walk however. That sucks. North entrance is better for cars. The bad thing is you also have to pay for parking. On top of the admission. The prices quickly add up. A reason why it's great to get a membership. This is the best way to save on these. Get a membership if going a lot. It's expensive, but it will help you save a ton. The worst thing about this zoo is the prices, but it's one of the best, so you have to go some time or whenever.

Wild Burger (Brookfield Zoo) is the BEST place to eat at Brookfield Zoo! The burgers and hot dogs are great and reasonably priced (for the zoo).

Brookfield zoo I used to be a member from a library that will allowed us to come to the zoo for free and we would have sleep overs and clean up. I came back after years and realized how expensive the entrance cost. Now a lot of special exhibits charge an additional fee to go inside to visit. To feed the giraffe cost $15 and you get 3 pieces of Romain lettuce. The dolphins show is closed for renovation. The butterfly exhibit is also closed to name a few. So basically you are paying for a long walk and many places are closed for construction. The food court is a little bit pricey a bottle water is $4.50 plus tax and to mention the food is like a 5 star restaurant over the roof. If you are very hungry you will wait about 1/2 an hour to get you food done.Over all I spent about $200.00 just on essentials not even dessert. My favorite place is the penguin habitat and I found out you can sit in a room to actually pet the penguins I really want it to experience it but it was an hour wait so maybe next time.I recommend to bring your own pic nick and enjoy the zoo freeze your own drinks and save money I visited with my other half and we spent $200.00 without paying additional exhibits
