“Very kid friendly. Descent adult food and good kid food. It's a good place to run little kids around. Train to ride, arcade, train setup the kids can watch.Kid-friendliness: Definitely a kid place. Sit at the counter and tour food is delivered by a train“
“The food was really good. We got there around 10:30am and it was still rush hour. Totally understandable and good. We waited around 15mins for our table to be clean and ready. But once we were seated we weren't noticed for about 20mins. No coffee or water. Once we asked what look like the manager she seemed to be annoyed. Then we waited for about another 15mins to actually order food. We still love the food so we are hoping it was just due to business been busy. By the time we got our food the customers were done. So no complaints once it was only a few tables left.“
“First time checking this place out, and we couldn't be happier. we chose this restaurant for our Valentine's Day date!We did not experience any crazy waits like we anticipated since it was Valentine's Day. The food was amazing. We have not been to a place that has hit all the marks for us. Everything was delicious, and we couldn't be happier to have chosen this place for our date!“
“This restaurant is clean. The servers were friendly, helped me with the menu, brought water without me asking and very attentive to my needs. All the staff including the cook wore masks. The food was delicious and prepared just the way I ordered. The staff gets points from me by wiping down all things used by previous customers. I highly recommend this place.“
“We ordered breakfast and lunch.. The ham and cheese omelet was fluffy, hot, and delicious. The potatoes are crispy and hot. The sausage gravey was delicious. The chicken & rib combo was delicious. The chicken was crispy and juicy. The ribs fall off the bone.. Lemon rice soup wash delicious and hot too.. Thank You, and Happy New Year....Parking: Paring is on the side of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Yes it is.“
“OMG, I had not been to Bakers Square in forever! I was hoping they still had my favorite sandwich: Grown up grilled cheese, with fries and honey mustard on the side and of course I finished it off with a slice of lemon meringue pie. Our waitress was very funny and checked on us often throughout our meal. My family and I will definitely be back. Now go ... Check 'em out!!! ???“
“We ate there with friends for dinner. We were seated right away; this is a very big place. It is very well kept and very old school in every way. The service was top notch with very attentive wait staff.I ordered the Sliced Roast Turkey, and my wife went with the Chicken and Lake Perch Combo. My Turkey was good, though slightly on the dry side but the gravy helped with that. The dressing and potatoes were good.My wife’s dinner was very large, and she said it all tasted good. She didn’t agree with the reviews about the chicken being the best, but she said it was fine. Next time she will just get the Perch because that was fantastic. If you want an old school restaurant that will remind you of the olden days, this is the one for you.“
“The height of Covid when all businesses were closed in chicago.. this little hidden food oasis kept their doors open.. and as a result..became my favorite breakfast restaurant almost weekly.. I’ve never had a bad experience.. they don’t miss.. thanks guys for your hospitality and great comfort “
“Service was poor in that my coffee cup was empty and nobody came around to see if I wanted more. On the other hand, I ordered two eggs over easy. Many restaurants around her serve them and they still have a film topping the yolks. TN's were perfectly cooked with no film. It is one of my nitpicky items when dining out.“
“Food was good, prices were good. They had my favorite hot sauce (Louisiana) the staff were great. Three things that I say need improvement. The toast was a little too toasted, there was no grape jelly, and there was just a single cheese option. I would add at least 2 more options.“
“We went to this restaurant for the first time after passing by it daily for years. Some friends asked us to join them there and we agreed not knowing what to expect. It is now my go to place for breakfast at dinner or any other time. I have fallen in love with the way they make their waffles. The next time we went I encouraged one of my friends to have the waffle and she also agreed that the waffle was excellently made. So, So, So, light and airy, flavorful, yet not at all soft or mushy on the outside (how they do it consistently I want to know). Just the way we liked it. Never had a restaurant captured all of this in a waffle that I have seen. You can also have it made with all kinds of toppings. My hubby loves the skillets. I am a pescatarian so I had the chicken. They allowed me to adjust my order for a small upcharge to wings instead of the chicken fillets. The portion size is very generous. Each time I have gone (so far) almost everyone in the group took home food from their meal. We will also return, just the two of us, because we both loved the ambiance and atmosphere.Dietary restrictions: I am a pescatarian.“
“I've been here for breakfast and dinner. Good food, decent prices and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. I noticed The Wheel and Round The Clock have same menu, I don't know who acquired who but I think I get my money's worth at The Wheel seeing you get soup and dessert with dinners.“
“I visited this restaurant several years ago and I remembered the grilled pork chops they had served. Well, I didn't get them this time because they were no longer on the menu. The place had a waiting period but since it was only two of us, they found us a table right away. I had coffee and a breakfast skillet that was really good.“
“Best service!!! Thank you to Addison, she was great!! If the service is great it just makes everything smooth. She was so nice and knew the menu well. the food was great, not a gourmet meal obviously but 5 people for $70 you can’t beat that. Tons of bread, salads that are very fresh and tons of food to take home.“
“Let me eat huge daily special plates for free as a dishwasher when I was starving homeless in other people's homes unlike the rest of the greedy restaurants. Even offered very discounted monthly hotel across the street. I used to walk miles in the high snow for that check.“
“A great first polish food experience for my party. We loved the family owned mom and pop vibes. Very friendly staff, service was fantastic, food was tasty. The owners were hanging out with locals and came to our table to ask how we liked the food. Highly recommend the potato pancake dipped in sour cream and applesauce, which I learned is a polish tradition. Will definitely be back!!“
“It was delicious!!! Was at the food court at the mall and decided to try it out ..and to my surprise it was really good !! And I’m very picky when it comes to soul food ..I had the fried chicken wing which was seasoned very good and had the Mac , greens and sweet potato’s which was good“
