The bar is nicely updated with food options including pizza and cheese sticks. "The Squint" is their drink, which consists of Gin and Squirt, I would recommend.

I had not been in the Brass Rail in years. We went to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It was a great atmosphere and cleaned up to the point where you would certainly take your Mom there, but they kept it authentic and the classic Bar atmosphere. They only have bar pizza, but do yourself a favor and try the cheesy garlic bread. Oh also try the Squint, their “Signature” drink. This will for sure be my new spot when I am in Champaign.

Went in to celebrate graduation and wanting to try out a new dive bar of Champaign. One of the part owners groped a member of my group to the point where she started crying. (Bartenders were nice though and ambiance was great)

Nice place, nice people, bad parking, go when you have a stop and wait, well worth it.

A slice of heaven disguised as a pocket of hell. One of the best bars in town while simultaneously the worst bar in town. 10/10, would recommend.
Best vibes and best people on the planet. Highly recommend!

“There won’t be any bombs in here” is a weird way to say I don’t know how to bartend. Just say you “don’t pour Vegas bombs or Irish car bombs because I’m clueless, but I can open your beer.” He made a remark about amateur hour as we walked away/out. Needless to say long haired old hipster dude is a weird vibe.
