“Took 2 of our granddaughters out for a treat. We got the playdough flavor ice cream. They found it humorous that our tongues turned blue while enjoying our bowls of afternoon delight. Since my wife can not eat ice cream, she had a blueberry scone. Sge said it was very good. We will go back again. Thank you for the fabulous experience!“

“A friend and I went in to have doughnuts and something to drink. The lady behind the counter was very kind and helpful in explaining what each of the doughnuts was. There was a wide variety of doughnuts and drinks as well. The prices were very reasonable. The doughnuts were great. The atmosphere was very casual and laid back. I highly recommend Mel-o-Cream and will be going back there soon myself.Parking: There are several parking spots in front of the building and a parking lot to the side as well.Wheelchair accessibility: The building has a wide entrance door which makes it wheelchair accessible.“

“Love this place! When I come back in town this is my favorite spot to bring friends and family. The donuts are literally better than anywhere I’ve ever had, and I eat donuts all over— Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, you name it! Mel-O-Creme has the BEST donuts in the world. And their history is great, they make the donut formula for lots of other well known donut makers. I’m usually a very healthy and organic eater, but these donuts are WORTH THE SPLURGE. Not a single donut is bad, sometimes I get there towards closing and they only have a few selections left, but that doesn’t even bother me. Whatever donut type is left is guaranteed to be excellent. But if you’re looking for the whole variety, get there earlier in the morning because their donuts can go fast because they’re so good!“

“Full disclosure- I love donuts. In Springfield- this chain of donut shops was consistently mentioned to me as the go-to place for donuts. Any variety with chocolate was my favorite. I thought the maple was a bit too mapley (new made- up word) for my taste. This is probably a bit of a 3.5 rating. Why? First off- there was a fly in the donut case. I know this might by nit- picky, but it was ick. The second thing is that even if you are buying a dozen to share with your office the donuts are individually priced, so they are on the expensive side. I can't fully recall the price- but definitely over $20. Good- but not great. If you've sampled many non-chain donuts you might by a bit underwhelmed.“

“Despite the naysayers reviews, I tried them twice at this location on North Grand. I can swear to you the quality has been perfect on both visits. The second visit I was given long johns instead of the creme filled as requested but still all was super fresh and tasty!Update: The owner replied to my post within an hour of it being posted! Excellent work Sir! I did stop by and explained the issue on my prior visit on Monday and was given fresh donuts by an extremely nice and helpful employee. I have added the missing star to this review and cannot reccomend Melo-cream highly enough.“

“My kids and I love it! Everyone in there, save for a few people, act like they absolutely hate life.
