“My Fiancé and I discovered this restaurant after watching “Somebody Feed Fill” and were inspired and intrigued by Sarah’s restaurant and craftsmanship. We had our eye on getting reservations here for a very long time and we ended up landing lunch reservations for my Fiancés birthday (whom is also a Chef). We just happened to be seated by the expo line near the kitchen where we saw Sarah working. From start to finish our server Rose, and Sarah made sure our experience was personalized special. Sarah even signed the cookbook we bought and menu! Everything was on point from the food to the service. I can see why it’s so hard to get a reservation here! If we could rate our experience higher we would. We greatly appreciate the hospitality and dedication that this restaurant displays!”
“What a great place in the South Loop- will most definitely be back! The burger and salad were delicious, cookies & milk for desert = perfection! Ashley was an amazing server and made our date night so special! Highly recommend!”
“We had such a great time at Gino’s East! The atmosphere was so fun and cozy, making it the perfect spot for dinner. The mozzarella sticks are an absolute MUST — seriously some of the best we’ve had. And of course, the pizza was delicious from the first bite to the last. Definitely a Chicago spot we’ll be coming back to!”
“Absolute dominance from a restaurant that is less than a month old. You thought you've had it all, that Chicago couldn't possibly have yet ANOTHER banger in Wicker Park, but i'll be damned, here we are. The cracklin' shrimp is so well done, I would eat a bowl of it. Lemony, spicy, deep fried deliciousness. The half chicken was among the best I've ever had (whatever that green sauce was, was KILLING IT) not to mention my wife's elote lasagna?!?! I can't wait to go back. THE MANAGER EVEN SMELLED GREAT. Victory!”

“The food was good! Really love the staff. They are so welcoming and kind! Our personal favorite was our server, Jules (Jewelry). She is absolutely amazing. We will literally return just to interact with Jules. Overall, we had a TERRIFIC time. Highly recommend!”

“Delicious authentic Vietnamese cuisine”
“I visited Chicago Mama’s Kitchen - Catering, Mixology & Culinary Experiences and had a really unique and enjoyable experience. The atmosphere felt warm, creative, and welcoming, with a strong focus on hospitality and interactive food culture rather than a traditional restaurant setup. The staff was friendly, passionate, and very engaging, especially around the mixology and culinary elements. I tried a few dishes and drinks, and everything was thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and presented with care, showing a lot of creativity and personality. Overall, it’s a great spot for a more experiential food and drink experience, and I’d definitely come back again.”
“Timeless old pub decor, friendly staff, good food, extensive drink selection. You can’t find a more appropriately named place for a Trappist ale.”
“Everything was delicious! The popover with honey butter was my favorite ❤️”
“Great place to hang out, have a beverage, and play a board game!”
“More than just our neighborhood bar....great mostly southern inspired food, cocktails and elevated wine list, friendly staff/owners, and good vibe indoors or out.”
“One of the best place to eat home made food and best service in Chicago landed area”
“This place was great! If you're looking for a place where you feel like you're stepping back into Prohibition Chicago, this place is it. The food was great. I had the steak, which was seasoned and cooked perfectly, I had a few of their signature cocktail, which were decent, the service was a bit slow but it was a packed house so that is understandable. But overall, definitely something that I will plan on coming back to again. Maybe for their Valentine's Day Massacre show.”
“I have been coming to this Bakery as long as they have been open, every year I get myself a birthday cake yesterday I picked up a personal birthday cake, I was shocked there was maybe an inch of cake the rest was icing and the strawberries were sour in all the years of coming to this Bakery, im just hurt”
“Best steak I have ever had. 10/10”
“Great service. Great coffee. Really nice atmosphere.”
“It’s my first time here, I ❤️ and a place you want to come back so often”
“Great service by Shawn and the food was awesome too. We (3 of us) had a dinner- 2 fish & chips, Mac & Cheese w/ chicken and had Sunday breakfast here over the weekend. All of our meals were spot on and delicious. GO IRISH 🍀”
“Amazing food, great atmosphere!”
“Great staff, absolutely delicious food in a warm welcoming atmosphere. can't recommend them enough.”
“I have dined at some incredible restaurants, and Obélix has officially earned a permanent spot on my list.
Our server Alexa deserves her own spotlight. She’s a genuine foodie with wit, warmth, and the rare ability to describe a dish so vividly you’ve practically tasted it before it hits the table. She didn’t recite a menu, she painted a picture. Every dish, dessert, and drink recommendation came with a story and just enough personality to make the whole experience feel effortless and special.
The food: foie gras crisps (10/10 — pure perfection), a beautifully composed duck salad, pristine Dover sole, the most indulgent au gratin macaroni of my life, and desserts — plural — that all exceeded expectations.
Obélix is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why you love food. Ask for Alexa. You’re welcome.”

“Booked the Brewery Tour online very straightforward,we received reminders prior to the tour.
Chris was our Tour guide and he was funny & very informative. The Tour was just under a hour.
Visiting from the UK and Goose Island has been a favourite for a long time it was really good to see the process.
We had a few good sized samples and the Bourbon County Stout was lovely.
All the staff members we met were very polite.
The bar area was busy & had a good atmosphere.”

“This place has a cool, hip vibe and it’s fun to eat at the communal tables. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great variety of beer and creative craft cocktails. Food is beautifully plated and delicious - make sure to try the potatoes, baby gem salad and hanger steak.”
“We’re huge fans of The Bear, which steered us here on our Chicago trip - so glad we found this place! We loved the mushroom adobo and longnanisa breakfast sandwich! The mango tarts were amazing, as were our lattes. We left with an apple hand pie to eat the following morning, which was still had perfectly crispy pastry. Definitely worth the hour wait to get in.”
“Beautiful food and wine. Great atmosphere. Staff that were attentive without being overbearing. Michelin stars. And a 5m walk from the apartment. This could become an expensive habit!”
“Great food, amazing ambiance and incredible staff. One of the nicest Chicago steakhouses I’ve been to. Highly recommend.”

“I loved it. Have been passing by this place since over a decade ago and never had the time. By coincidence I checked it out a few days ago and I ordered a double cheeseburger with onion rings and it was delicious! I also had a chilli which I recommend if you’re into dips! Very good service. Modest prices.”
“After leaving another restaurant because of a bad experience with the server & food, we came here just to grab something to eat because we were hungry frustrated & tired. To our surprise we were greeted by Ashely who was warm & welcoming. She was friendly & knew the menu!! We absolutely loved our food & even more our service from Ashley! She turned our night around & is always a pleasure!! She is a true asset to the restaurant.”
“This place is a 10 out of 10. I had the hot turkey with mashed potatoes gravy and chicken noodle soup.. my cousin had a bloody mary ..Maria made it taste like a airport double..she had a turkey club with onion rings ..I tasted them and they were light and fluffy.. club was delicious too. Don't sleep on this place..”

“We had a lovely dinner at Rose Mary last night and it was the most fabulous meal that we have had in some time. Amazing service, beautiful venue and the food was just so good. Simple but very complex; rustic but refined. And the service was impeccable. What a glorious end to our experience in Chicago!! Very highly recommend it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟”
Takeout Restaurants
“We finally got to check this place out. Located next to Mon Ami Gabi, you enter through the magnificent lobby. Inside is decorated sparsely but with warmth. We sat near the window for brunch and it was not at all busy at Saturday 10am. It’s probably not the first pick for brunch since their menu is not heavily focused on egg dishes (but they featured baked goods trays which I promised myself to try when I bring a larger family here). They relocated to this new space last fall but I had not really noticed from outside in my walks. The menu is very Asian-fusion and food was high quality and creative. I preferred theirs to North Pond actually. Theirs have more flavor overall. We ordered Maine Lobster Dumplings, Warm Mushroom Salad (this was a hit. I’m going to try to recreate the roasted mushroom at home) and truffle croquettes, pork noodle served in Korean earthen pot and salmon tartine. The first two dishes are really memorable flavors. They were generous with Mimosa and J enjoyed Mezcal shots each with pickle brine and watermelon. Think dirty martini but with more zing! which I appreciated. We want to come back for their happy hour and try other dishes. So glad to find this gem today. Service was prompt and with smiles.”
“Being from the suburbs traveling downtown can be an experience. This particular experience made our day. Moving our daughter into DePaul we came upon the owner of Red Light chicken who gave us a few pointers in parking near his establishment, after taking the time to help us find a spot he happily welcomed us with a free chicken sandwich which I’m happy to report was delicious. It was nice meeting you tonight and I’ll be certainly stopping by again - Fries are a game changer to!!!”
“Had a great birthday dinner here. The staff went above and beyond to make it special including helping pull off a surprise floral arrangement. The food was incredible and we are still talking about the pork, steak and salsa matcha. We will absolutely be back. Thank you Samantha and team.”
“I am late writing my review but I had to write it !! I visited provare chicago On july 8th !! From start to finish this restaurant gets 5 starts . The decor was nice and set a perfect atmosphere for a great night . We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated within 5 minutes of being there . Once seated the wait staff began their introduction's on drinks and popular menu item's. After my party ordered drinks and appetizers a gentleman came over (not sure if he was the manager) and introduce himself and made sure we were having a great experience. Appetizers were amazing!! We couldn't wait for dinner!! Our entrées we just as good if not better ! Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection! When we didn't think the night could get even better the entire wait staff and the gentleman that came over before stopped and recognized my friend for her birthday and brought over a birthday surprise!! I live 307 miles and this place was definitely worth the drive !!!”
“Wonderful Birthday/ Father’s Dinner tonight…Ambiance, Food and Staff absolutely incredible!!! John and Cole, along with the rest of the Ciccio Team are the consummate professionals!!!”
“I was fortunate to enjoy dinner at Indienne with my team, and the entire experience was exceptional. The food, service, and ambiance were all outstanding from start to finish.
What impressed me most was how unique and innovative the cuisine was. As someone who enjoys Indian food, I was delighted to experience flavors, presentations, and combinations that were completely new to me. This is exactly what I expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant, an experience that goes beyond a great meal and introduces diners to something memorable and unexpected.
The service was attentive, professional, and warm, while the elegant atmosphere made the evening even more enjoyable. In a city like Chicago, which is truly a paradise for food lovers, Indienne stands out as a remarkable culinary destination.
I look forward to returning in the future and experiencing another unforgettable meal. Highly recommended.”

“Was craving some Pho and stopped by here. We got the egg rolls to start and they were thin, had a nice crunch but a mild flavor. The sweet sauce that came with it helped give it that boost they needed. The Pho was the star of the show. A huge bowl of fresh pho with loads of toppings on the side. The broth was rich in flavor, with a generous portion of thinly sliced meat. It was a cold day I got this and it hit just the spot. The toppings like basil, jalapeño and bean sprouts were fresh and crunchy. The service was quick and the price was fair for the portion. The vibe is pretty chill here, it’s a more casual sit down.”
“We’re FoF, Fans of Fiya. We’ve been there a zillion times. The last time we were there, which was this past Friday night, we listed all the people we had introduced to the restaurant. We counted a dozen. Food is always good. We like the lively vibe and love the quaint back patio in the warmer months. 🌟Obviously, we highly recommend it.🌟. Enjoy!!”

“I finally got to try Rubi’s on 18th and let me tell you. OMG! I do believe these are the BEST tacos, I've EVER had. The cashier was super nice and friendly, the food was fresh and there was a lot of it for the price. I can’t wait to go back already. I got 4 steak tacos, strawberry horchata, and guacamole and chips. Thank you guys! Monica Miranda! See you next time.”
“I'm from Iowa, took a little weekend trip to Chicago. A friend told us we HAD to try Lula's. SO thankful we did. I will be traveling back to Chicago just to take my mom here. Outstanding service from every single employee, incredible food, and just overall 10/10. Absolutely recommend.”

“The food is delicious and the drinks are great!! The atmosphere was amazing!!”
“We loved our meal last night for Valentine’s Day! pair the duck bread with the squash soup. It was absolutely delicious. The goat cheese salad with the apple dressing was equally as good. My steak was cooked perfectly. We had an amazing espresso martini and a delightful crisp lemon cocktail. My husband also liked their old fashioned. We split caramel ice cream with pineapple and it was a great finishing touch. The Moscato d Asti never disappoints either this is our fourth Valentine’s Day with Brindille and it has been our tradition ever since we have been together. Each year is different and this year was definitely better than the last! Their servers are great too. We are looking forward to our future years here. Thank you. ❤️”
“I really liked this place! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. Special thanks to our waitress Huda — she was very polite, attentive, and friendly. She provided great service and made our visit even more enjoyable. We will definitely come back again! 👍✨”
“We went for the seasonal Ramadan Iftar, which was a diversity of their a la carte menu and enjoyed the elevated takes on Arabic comfort foods. Every bite was special - the hummus was silky, the lentil soup was perfectly spiced, the cauliflower deliciously fried, the chicken moist and amazing with the garlic and pepper sauces. Shishbarak is hard to get right so I was impressed. Dessert was the cremieux, a fantastic chocolate dessert with rose and cardamom. Some of the best levantine food you're gonna get in the midwest.”
“Amazing food and service. We had the tasting menu and it was incredibly tasty and really well thought out. Service was great and really contributed to being able to enjoy the food and understand the vision of the chef. Atmosphere was alright, I expect it will improve as they settle in to their new location.”
“I've been lucky enough to eat at many Michelin-starred and fine dining restaurants over the last 10 years. Schwa is now my favorite of them all. If Michelin stars are awarded on food and food alone, this should be a 3 star. It's probably the most eclectic and unique menus I've seen. The music is loud and fun which is a welcome change from other fine dining spots. The only thing that feels luxury about Schwa is the food--that's a good thing in my opinion. Thanks to the staff for a fun and memorable anniversary dinner for me and my wife!”

“The pastries are very delicious! I have a variety of them. They are some of the best I have had in unexpected combinations. The latte I had was floral and balanced. It was a Lavender Latte. If you love coffee and pastries, you do not want to miss out on this experience. Cafe Calida has a selection that is full of flavor that is truly sure to delight. Visit them today to see for yourself. Check their hours of operation.”
“I tried a slice of their rainbow cake at Penelope's Vegan Taqueria a couple of years ago, and honestly, it was the best cake I’ve ever had. I’m not usually a big cake person myself, but this one completely changed my mind. It wasn’t overly sweet, and it was incredibly moist.
I planned to save the slice for when I got back home since I live four hours away. I ended up eating the whole thing before I even left Chicago. If that doesn’t say how amazing it is, I don’t know what does.”
“The coffee here is incredible! ☕️ What really stands out is how the owners and baristas always greet you with a smile when you arrive and say goodbye when you leave - it really makes you feel welcome 😊. I’m so grateful for this little gem in our community ✨. It’s always a great experience every time I visit!”
“When heading towards Beverly for a property management home inspection, I wanted to find a local coffee joint that I could get a coffee and a snack of some sort. Afro Joe's was calling to me. Walking in, greeted warmly, the adventure began. If you haven't been, check the menu before you go because you will want to order one of each item! Since it was my first time, most certainly NOT the last, I needed a lifeline. Charmaine to the rescue. I don't know if I manifested or she read my mind , but when I asked which sandwich I should order instantly , she said the short rib! Boom! Done. Next up, a drink choice. Again I was not led astray. The option was a blueberry lavender cold brew topped with rose cold foam. As she was suggesting the option, Charmaine lifted the one she was drinking and again instantly sold. No chocolate croissant available since it was later in the morning but the chocolate morning roll was there and three for three, the order was placed. I already know that I have to come back, time and time again.Just walking in such a chill vibe , perfect music, everyone tables either working or chatting with a friend. The open kitchen invites you to see the hustle and bustle. The garage doors roll up onto the patio for warmer days and what appears to be local art work adorns the walls. When I tell you, this is absolutely no exaggeration, every item was on point! The short rib was so flavor forward eith the bite of picked onions, there was a side of diced pickles and onions too. Also a hit. The warm bun had some fruit nestled in its chocolatey tummy, flakes and moist with the richness of cocoa. And for the latte, cold, sweet and the flavors all complimented each other so well. I did opt for whole milk because, why not?!? I had one too many client emails and texts to be able to enjoy grabbing a book from the shelf but note, they even had the sharpest of colored pencils to doodle or write a note with. I have not one complaint, well, maybe one, I wish they were in my neighborhood because this would be a staple place to visit regularly! Until we meet again and I can get my hands on a chocolate croissant next...or any one of the other of their baked goods. Support your Local Black Owned Businesses!”
“I recently was visiting Chicago and as a habit, I searched for Best Gluten Free bakery and discovered Defloured. What an amazing place. As a Celiac, finding good GF baked goods is rare to find. Wow what a selection. I purchased a chocolate cupcake, two love pucks, cinnamon rolls, poppy lemon bread, baguette, and aNutella sandwich cookie. Everything was really delicious. I mean world class quality. I now plan on making regular visits to Chicago so I can load up and fill my freezer with possibly the best GF baked goods in the U.S. I’ve tried a lot.”
“Top notch service, drinks were phenomenal, and the food simply EXCEPTIONAL. Thank you for the VIP treatment on my Anniversary! You peeps are amazing!”
“Elegantly casual. LUVED. Counter seat into kitchen view was fun, interesting and worth it.”
“I really liked this place! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. Special thanks to our waitress Huda — she was very polite, attentive, and friendly. She provided great service and made our visit even more enjoyable. We will definitely come back again! 👍✨”

“Intimate place with great food and service. Chicken parmesan and rigatoni were delicious. If I lived closer, I certainly would be a regular.”
“Me and a friend stopped here before a concert at the Radius, and this will be the official pregame for anytime I have a concert there. Great food, excellent drink selections, friendly staff...highly recommend!”
“We went last night for the first time… Great menu options, food was delicious, portions were perfect, staff was really nice. I had the Grilled Salmon, he had the Braised Pork Shoulder…definitely recommend both.”

“Visited their new Lakeview location this past Thursday, and timed it right so my Pizza was ready right after the Cubs game ended. It was only a 15 minute walk to the restaurant. First time ever eating Milly's and I will definitely be back! Customized my own pizza with Pepperoni, Sausage and Ricotta cheese. Opening the box for the first time, this pie looked perfect. Generous amount of toppings, beautiful caramelized crust. First bite was nice and crispy and the entire pizza was full of flavor. I sat in one of their booths and ate half the pizza there! The staff was super friendly also, both guys were talking to me about the history of the company, and you could tell how passionate they were about making these pizzas. I will definitely be back again!”
“All the entrees were well seasoned and not with salt. They would very flavorful and pleasing to the eye.The owner and staff were great! For the price, this is a hidden gem and the mint tea is a must post dining. Highly recommend!”

“Delicious fresh Thai cuisine. Staff is friendly and the space is beautiful!”
“Very top tier Japanese Restaurant in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. Fresh food, fresh, delicious, world class chef, and an evening to remember.”
“The food, drinks, service and recommendations were excellent. We were celebrating a birthday, and everything from the Oaxacan tlayuda to the Cornish hen with mole and the margaritas made with mezcal from the owners’ hometown in Oaxaca made for a great meal.”

“Great happy hour daily 5-6pm The burgers are so good !! Always fun”
“The food is delicious and the drinks are great!! The atmosphere was amazing!!”
“I had an engagement party for my Son and his fiancée. It was in the lawn next to our building on the lake in Chicago. A casually elegant setting. We had a lot of different food prepared professionally and I made salads, and we grilled steaks, burgers and chicken. Khmai was enlisted to do all the appetizers, some additional salads and various spreads and dips. I have Mai my approximate budget, let her know what I was preparing and planned to cook and asked her to do her best to come up with what she thought would be best as complimentary. She outdid herself. The staff is lovely to work with, helpful and genuine. My guests were blown away by the delicious and complex tastes we are not used to since most had never had Cambodian food prior. Fermented catfish dip? Wonderful, all the rolls veg or not were terrific, shrimp toast was my personal favorite, salads crisp, spicy and everything felt special and unique. Flavors so rich and vibrant felt like a special treat. It was perfect served with standard picnic fare a little elevated. The atmosphere of the party was pitch perfect, while retaining a quiet all American type picnic feel, the quality of both the food I had prepared and grilled, plus the array of flavors the appetizers added made it seem really special and definitely a treat and celebratory. It felt like someone really cared and tried to make it memorable and my guests were over the moon for this food. I would absolutely recommend dining there, we have a few times and it’s a family feeling you just can’t force or create without it being real. Thank you for your heart and talent to this wonderfully talented mother and daughter team!”
“The pasta was incredible!!!! Alfonso was our server and he was fantastic and really good at helping us out when we couldn’t figure out what to order!”
“Amazing freshest sushi , best in the town , great service , and nice ambiance.”
“Went there today for the first, but definitely not last time. The food was extraordinary.”
“We visited this restaurant today in a group of 4. The menu has lot of variety and huge vegetarian options. We ordered Chicken 65, Onion Pakora, Gobhi Manchurian, Paneer Tikka masala and Mushroom Kadhai along with Naan. All of the items were extremely flavourful and starters were very crispy. The service was awesome too. The restaurant justified the high rating in Google maps through their service and food.”
“My daughter who is living in Asia tracked down this place for me (well, actually she wanted to eat there vicariously)and it was a great find. She asked me how I would rate the food (1-10) and when I said 10, she was impressed since I am not a foodie. Food just doesn't do it for me well.. until this meal. It started with me picking up the meal. The family who own this gem are so generous, so welcoming that I stayed talking to them longer than my dogs, who were waiting outside, would have liked. When I arrived home, the lentil soup was stilling piping hot and wow, so delicious. I am not a lentil soup, or even soup, person but I am definitely returning for more. The sauteed spinach with bulgar was well-yeah, I would definitely eat bulgar all the time if it tasted like this. As it turns out, there was so much food that I have a second meal. Thank you for this great meal and the welcoming. I, and people I know, will be there.”
“Had a great birthday dinner here. The staff went above and beyond to make it special including helping pull off a surprise floral arrangement. The food was incredible and we are still talking about the pork, steak and salsa matcha. We will absolutely be back. Thank you Samantha and team.”
“This is an adorable diner with great food. I am an omnivore, but I thought their Country Benedict was very good. They do give you the option of eggs or tofu. I went with eggs and they were perfectly cooked. I also tried the French toast sticks and they were delicious. The service was friendly and efficient.”
“Solamente quiero decir que este lugar no lo vuelvo a pisar tres horas, esperando no sirvieron la comida completa, la hostess hizo un comentario. Tienen hambre que se esperen otro manager, quería sentarnos al lado de la basura. Es una falta de respeto más aparte sus cocineros hicieron unas palabras anti sonantes. Otra falta de respeto. Cero recomendaciones enséñales a sus trabajadores ser profesionales”
“This place is SO GOOD. As a big soup lover, I crave this place all the time. The pickled fish soup, which is their signature is the best thing. Everything is so flavorful and nicely portioned. The ambience is also very nice and service is great.”
“Took my wife to dinner here. Allen was amazing took great care of us. The food was out of this world. They even gave us a tour of the kitchen to see how everything works. Truly the best experience we've ever had.”
“10/10 experience with Eddie! Had a birthday event for some friends and he was super helpful and accommodating! Definitely would recommend this place! Can’t wait to come back!”
“Celebrated my wife’s birthday here with three other families, as we were in Chicago between baseball tournaments. Not only was Coda di Volpe able to accommodate a same day reservation for a large party, but they went above and beyond, from personalizing menus with a birthday wish, to adding a special touch on dessert. With four teenage boys in tow, the menu provided ample carbs and comfort for them while we enjoyed a broad sample of the offerings - all were very happy with their meals! Cocktails and wine selection was also on the mark. Kudos to Jeremy and his staff. We came all dressed in white and he told us he knew he wanted to do something special for our party… they knocked it out of the park! Looking forward to coming back to Chicago and making a beeline for this restaurant… a no-brainer.”
“Thank you Fernando and Ismael at 5 rabanitos!! Great food, great drinks and great service. Can’t wait to go back!”
“I love this American restaurant, the food is delicious, satisfying and enjoyable. I especially love the burgers and fries, they are freshly made and very authentic. In addition, the environment here is also very comfortable and spacious, which makes people feel very relaxed and happy. The waiters are also very friendly and welcoming, they always greet guests with a smile and provide many useful tips and recommendations. All in all, this is a very good American restaurant and I will come here often to enjoy the food and time.”
“One of our favorite places to eat when we’re in Chicago. Love the atmosphere, food and cocktails. Will be back soon.”
“Excellent food and service to go with an excellent beer selection. The Far Post Nitro Pub Ale was a welcome surprise. Not the most Irish of experiences in Chicago but it tracks with the Guinness store in Dublin so can't complain.”
“Eleven City Diner is one of those places that feels like a Chicago institution. The first time you walk in, it looks smaller than it actually is, but don't be fooled. There's plenty of seating upstairs, and the whole place has a fun old-school diner vibe that's getting harder and harder to find these days.
We've stopped here before Bears games for breakfast more than once, and the food is always outstanding. If you're a breakfast person, you really can't go wrong. Everything comes out hot, fresh, and in portions that will keep you full for hours. The waitstaff has always been friendly, attentive, and welcoming.
While the breakfast menu is excellent, the deli side of the menu is just as good. The corned beef sandwiches are legendary, the pastrami is fantastic, and the fries are some of my favorite in the city. The matzo ball soup is also worth ordering if you're in the mood for comfort food. ([Choose Chicago][1])
One of my favorite parts of Eleven City is all the nostalgic candy and old-fashioned treats they sell. It's like stepping back in time, and you'll probably find something you haven't seen since you were a kid.
No, this isn't fancy dining. It's classic diner and deli food done exceptionally well. Sometimes that's exactly what you want. If you're looking for a place with huge portions, great sandwiches, excellent breakfasts, and a lot of character, Eleven City Diner is an easy recommendation. Parking can be brutal before Bears games but worth the trip if you can find parking. Take the red line and make your life easier. We have been yelled at by the owner for being there for 45+ minutes before so steer clear of that guy!”
“Great restaurant with delicious food and the best people working there.”
“I was blown away by the performers and the fashion, not to mention the beautifully decorated space! A truly magical experience!”
“Impressive broth with chewy ramen noodles make a very good dish. The server missed an item upon ordering and never followed up. A table for two with only one appetizer and one entree would be a giveaway that something is missing, but he never noticed. Despite enjoying what were on the table, the meal ended early.”
“Highly recommended for first dates, or just going with a group of friends. Been here twice, and everyone there is super friendly, definitely a place to have a lot of laughs and make great memories. 10/10 🙌🏼”
“Amazing experience! The food was great…best steak that I’ve ever had!”
“This place has a cool, hip vibe and it’s fun to eat at the communal tables. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great variety of beer and creative craft cocktails. Food is beautifully plated and delicious - make sure to try the potatoes, baby gem salad and hanger steak.”
“Incredible experience. I will definitely be back. Tried the monster and the spicy summer. Both were amazing. Oh and can’t forget the Gyoza. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!!!!”
“Wonderful service and excellent rolls!! Overall great experience”
“I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The shoyu ramen with fried chicken is delicious, well-balanced broth paired with perfectly crispy and juicy fried chicken that complements the ramen beautifully.
The service from Natalia, the server, was outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and highly professional, making the entire experience even better with her warm smile and great recommendations.
Amazing food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!”

“Best Chinese food in Chicago! The Kung Pao Chicken is one of my favorites along with their Pork Fried Rice, but I have enjoyed many of their dishes - BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Pot Stickers, Beef Chop Suey on crispy chow mein noodles - all delicious. The servings are large - plenty to share or take home for tomorrow's lunch. All the staff are friendly and efficient, and you can eat in, pickup or order delivery. Try House of Wah Sun; you won't be disappointed.”
“I was introduced to Half Shall about 9 years ago. I must admit hands down the best King Crab Legs I've had in a long time. Let's talk about the Catfish/Jumbo Fried Shrimp. Lord have mercy on me! Very good, very good, very good. The cocktails are not bad either. I've brought family members from the DC location and they absolutely loved the food. I've never encountered a bad waitress or poor customer service. The perfect little GEM in the neighborhood.”
“I’ve been here several times over the last few years and my family loves their donuts and especially the apple fritters. I wanted a slice of pizza and decided to try theirs . I wish I hadn’t. It seemed to be a cheap frozen box pizza only suitable for late night consumption by inebriated college students. Do go to Chicos and enjoy their donuts but skip the pizza. Your stomach will thank you.”
“These cakes taste freshly baked because they are batches that go straight from the racks to customers, and by early afternoon the shelves are often cleared. The glaze technique poking and soaking, so flavor infuses rather than just sitting on top means you get even moisture and flavor from edge to center, no dry bites. i will be going to pookie crack cakes again .”
“What a perfect venue for our 47th anniversary! Food was superb from my first experience with escargot to the fish soup and Atlantic Char to the creme brulee! Bonus: Monday is half-price wine night! Our server, Blue, was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Great experience!”
“I usually do not write a review, but this place was very special. We went on a Friday night and it was just Amazing-The seafood stuffing with fried catfish was off the chart-super delicious. The biscuits were perfect. The high light of the night was the live band with an excellent singer.”

“This was my first time here celebrating my girlfriend birthday. Chris and David made it a great experience. Service was awesome and they made sure we had everything we needed from drinks,, appetizers, , entrees and dessert. The food was so good and it was a fun night . Definitely coming back.”
“Outstanding restaurant! We are so glad we came by! The prices are very affordable, portions very large and as flavorful and authentic Italian you can get anywhere in Chicago. The restaurant was busy when we came for dinner service, but the food still came out quick (tapas style) and service was incredible. We recommend the Neopolitan pizza, Beef Short Rib, and the Shrimp Diavolo, and the Tiramisu (best I have ever had) Very impressed! We stopped by twice before leaving the city.”
“Our server was Chris(Italian One) What an amazing person, amazing personality, very kind, attentive, great worker, he really took care of us, he was very honest since the beginning, saying that those pizza might take 45 min or 1 hour, and we agreed, he got us drinks, every 5 min talking with us, have a little chat, this was our first time in Chicago and he recommended us a couple places, he even changed our drinks when we got our pizza because they got watery, loved him, people like that deserves the world, bless him. Anyways😂 Pizza was amazing, another world, we watched a lot of tik toks and we wanted to come, definitely loved it, we will come back tomorrow, amazing experience, amazing pizza, thank you guys for everything”
“Where do you go for dinner if you (regrettably) only have one night in Chicago? Gibson’s Italia, of course! From our first drink at the bar to our stunning riverfront table for dinner, everything was simply spectacular! We started by sharing the Arancini Cacio E Pepe and the Cacio E Pepe before savoring my filet mignon and her New York strip steak with sides of Brussels sprouts and handmade fries, topped off with an flaming baked Alaska! Destinee was the perfect attentive server who never rushed and gave us space to enjoy, and maître d’ Patrick and Manager Andrew added their personal touch and attention as well! I may never be hungry again, and my memories of the perfect night in Chicago will live on!”

“We had a fantastic dinner here. Delicious, and I really liked being able to try the different cuts of meat to understand them better. Great flavor profiles!! Staff were attentive, professional and answered all sorts of questions I asked! I did enjoy the wine pairing with the meals, was not too much.”
“Here for my daughter’s birthday! It was a great experience. My daughter was happy when host aside happy birthday to her and also has her name on the menu for happy birthday. The environment for sure is dark. I think it is way too dark for my liking, but also underrated it is personal preference. We ordered a rib eye and it was super delicious. Overall great experience. One last point I would say, we ordered dessert, but server never put a candle for it. But the table next to us got a candle. So my daughter was a little disappointed. But overall still a great experience!”
“Little Lark is a fantastic addition to the Chicago dining scene and a must-visit for anyone who appreciates a welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, the friendly staff makes you feel right at home, providing attentive and warm service that truly sets the stage for a great meal.
The standout, however, is the excellent pizza. The crust has the perfect balance of chew and crispness, topped with high-quality ingredients that elevate every bite. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual weeknight dinner or a weekend treat, the combination of great vibes and top-tier food makes it a local gem. I can’t recommend it enough!”
“What makes Cariño special for vegetarians is the intention behind every dish. The team clearly does more than “remove the meat”; they rethink each course so the vegetarian version has its own personality and depth. Thoughtful use of seasonal produce, umami-rich elements, and bright, layered sauces means you never feel like you're getting a compromise.”
“Adorable spot serving surprisingly traditional foods with a spin. Haven’t seen monkfish on a menu for a while! The squid salad was a bit skimpy with the seafood but the sauce was perfect. The service was quick and on point. The drinks were delicious also with a legit bar menu.”
“I enjoyed all food and the service. Drinks were great. 2 things I would like to bring to the management’s attention:
1) There is no biryanis on your menu but your website proclaims it. Please make the change.
2) Restroom - while I appreciate the fact that you have blowers to dry the hands, I still need to touch the knob to exit… then I have to eat Indian food - usually done with hands… do you see the problem?
That aside, you have a very good thing going for us Chicagoans and we wish you even more success.
I think I saw Sujan in the kitchen… busy helping… celebrity sighting.. yay”
“Insanely great! We just brought foodies from NY to try Trinos who said they “Only wish it was in NY” and “Best meal I’ve had in a long time. Better than great”. Food not only exceptional but so is the staff. Chef Stephen is so creative, kind and knowledgeable. Our server was outstanding. Definitely a special spot in our city! Thank you!”
“I came here today on my lunch break to grab a burger. Let’s start off by saying the gentleman behind the bar was so kind as soon as walked in the door. The vibe was great! I’ll definitely be back soon when I’m not working to grab a bite and a drink inside.
So the food was great!!!!”
“The concept for the menu is a unique trip along the Pan-American highway with stops at various Latin countries. Each dish and drink is thoughtful in its ingredients and presentation. The jicama salad was refreshing, but not at all plain. The pastel de choclo was a wonderful surprise of a warm dish. The frozen el arenal was seriously dangerous in how delicious it was, I can’t recommend it enough. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was perfect. We are so thrilled to have this gem in the neighborhood and can’t wait to see what they do in the future!”

“My favorite restaurant in the world. Seriously. Hands down. When I go to Chicago, I am making reservations at the Purple Pig for at least two of the nights. Bone marrow and pig ears are a must. But you can’t go wrong. Did I mention it’s my favorite?”
