“Absolute dominance from a restaurant that is less than a month old. You thought you've had it all, that Chicago couldn't possibly have yet ANOTHER banger in Wicker Park, but i'll be damned, here we are. The cracklin' shrimp is so well done, I would eat a bowl of it. Lemony, spicy, deep fried deliciousness. The half chicken was among the best I've ever had (whatever that green sauce was, was KILLING IT) not to mention my wife's elote lasagna?!?! I can't wait to go back. THE MANAGER EVEN SMELLED GREAT. Victory!”

“My Fiancé and I discovered this restaurant after watching “Somebody Feed Fill” and were inspired and intrigued by Sarah’s restaurant and craftsmanship. We had our eye on getting reservations here for a very long time and we ended up landing lunch reservations for my Fiancés birthday (whom is also a Chef). We just happened to be seated by the expo line near the kitchen where we saw Sarah working. From start to finish our server Rose, and Sarah made sure our experience was personalized special. Sarah even signed the cookbook we bought and menu! Everything was on point from the food to the service. I can see why it’s so hard to get a reservation here! If we could rate our experience higher we would. We greatly appreciate the hospitality and dedication that this restaurant displays!”

“Oliver's is a MUST visit. I cannot emphasize what a lovely time my friends and I had. I cannot sing enough praises to the immense care and charismatic service provided. The space itself is beautiful and while it seats more than you'd think, there's a level of coziness and intimacy. The food is well prepared and delicious. With elevated dishes, I thought the menu offers flair and thoughtfulness. Amongst our group we had carrots, truffle gnocchi, burgers, chicken, milk and cookies, espresso martinis, and the milk punch. Not a single miss, we were all happy members of the clean plate club. I had a phenomenal experience at Oliver's and cannot wait for my next visit, I will certainly be back in the near future.”

Oh, by no means at all, the food and wine were spectacular. My wife had the halibut, which I have to highly recommend after having tasted it and I got the Beef Wellington. The Beef Wellington was great but is really meant for more than one person regardless I got to have more subsequent days so good for me.

Highly recommend enjoying the food here. We definitely expect to come back to try more dishes. So many offerings but my stomach can handle only so much.”

“Visited their new Lakeview location this past Thursday, and timed it right so my Pizza was ready right after the Cubs game ended. It was only a 15 minute walk to the restaurant. First time ever eating Milly's and I will definitely be back! Customized my own pizza with Pepperoni, Sausage and Ricotta cheese. Opening the box for the first time, this pie looked perfect. Generous amount of toppings, beautiful caramelized crust. First bite was nice and crispy and the entire pizza was full of flavor. I sat in one of their booths and ate half the pizza there! The staff was super friendly also, both guys were talking to me about the history of the company, and you could tell how passionate they were about making these pizzas. I will definitely be back again!”

“I am late writing my review but I had to write it !! I visited provare chicago On july 8th !! From start to finish this restaurant gets 5 starts . The decor was nice and set a perfect atmosphere for a great night . We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated within 5 minutes of being there . Once seated the wait staff began their introduction's on drinks and popular menu item's. After my party ordered drinks and appetizers a gentleman came over (not sure if he was the manager) and introduce himself and made sure we were having a great experience. Appetizers were amazing!! We couldn't wait for dinner!! Our entrées we just as good if not better ! Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection! When we didn't think the night could get even better the entire wait staff and the gentleman that came over before stopped and recognized my friend for her birthday and brought over a birthday surprise!! I live 307 miles and this place was definitely worth the drive !!!”

“Steak 'n Egger down in Pilsen is the absolute definition of a classic Chicago diner. We rolled in way past midnight for some late breakfast and grabbed two stools right at the counter. I ordered the standard steak and eggs with a massive side of crispy hash browns and a black coffee. The cook was working the flat top right in front of us and had our food out insanely fast. The whole place has that perfect vintage energy.”

“White Palace Grill on Canal is the absolute best late night diner in the South Loop. Went in for breakfast food way past midnight after being out and immediately grabbed a booth. Ordered a massive plate of steak and eggs, crispy hash browns, and a large black coffee. The whole place has that perfect old school energy that never feels forced. The waitstaff is ridiculously fast and keeps your mug full the entire time.”

“I’d been wanting to try Yao Yao for a while, and it was worth the visit. The space is modern with a menu centered around its signature pickled fish soup. The portion was huge and the broth had a satisfying spicy kick. I also loved adding the vegetables to soak up all the flavors. The twice-cooked pork was another solid dish. While the menu is more compact than other Sichuan restaurants, this is the spot if you are craving pickled fish.”

Would have preferred if the fish was whole rather than a filet and if they were going to leave the skin on, to prepare it crispy and served skin side up so I'd doesn't sit in the sauce where it will get soggy. But everything was delicious and all the servers and bussera were great!”

“We’re huge fans of The Bear, which steered us here on our Chicago trip - so glad we found this place! We loved the mushroom adobo and longnanisa breakfast sandwich! The mango tarts were amazing, as were our lattes. We left with an apple hand pie to eat the following morning, which was still had perfectly crispy pastry. Definitely worth the hour wait to get in.”

“How could a bar cure my aversion to celery?!? I’m not sure, but it happened. I met a friend here, and after a fun couple of hours sampling the epic novel of a beer list, we went for the moule frites. I was mainly interested in the frites, especially when I saw the celery on the mussels. But I did try them, and their broth. The broth!! It was otherworldly. After a few bites, I realized the magic ingredient had to be the celery. And the rosemary, thyme, onion, and probably a beer brewed by the Belgian monks. Go here, people.”

“We waited fifteen minutes for a table, just for another group of the exact same size to show up and be immediately sat before us. We didn’t say anything cause it was busy, and we were waiting right outside (which we were told is okay), so they probably forgot we were there. Just something to keep in mind if you visit during a rush ;)

Other than that, the pho seriously lives up to its hype. It was worth the wait. Everyone at the table agreed, and I was with some folks who know good pho cause they live near Little Saigon in CA. The flavors were balanced, it was more savory than sweet which I enjoy.

“An unforgettable evening made over the top by the team at Ever. Pure class, incredible cuisine, thoughtful presentation, and over-the-top service. My brother and I had the pleasure of dining at Ever — I’ve enjoyed several Michelin restaurants in the past but Ever is by far the most memorable and unique experience I’ve been able to enjoy.

As someone with celiac disease for over 4 years, restaurants knowledge around food allergies and how to handle them tells me lots about the management, the staff they hire, and how the operation is ran. It’s clear the entire team is incredibly adept and cared deeply about the experience they offer. I had 0 problems dining here and I have a severe gluten allergy with heavy restrictions. I prompt other individuals with allergies to reach out to their team and get information before dining, however I’m certain you won’t be disappointed.

The general experience was a 10/10 and it was a night of “wow” and “that’s crazy!”. Something that stood out to me was Ever’s attention to detail from service to drink pairings.”

Beity is one of the most creative Lebanese restaurants I’ve been to in Chicago. The sourdough pita bread was incredible and genuinely something I had never tasted before. Such a unique take on something so familiar.

My other favorites were the wagyu shawarma, chicken, kafta hummus, fatoush, rice, and sea bass. Everything felt thoughtful and inventive while still staying true to the flavors of Lebanese cuisine. Dessert was excellent as well.

The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. The staff made great suggestions and clearly cared about making the experience special.”

“I was looking forward to dining at Feld as it struck me as a restaurant with a distinct point of view. However, it fell well short of the admittedly lofty expectations I had set for it. My favorite part of the experience was the staff- everyone was passionate, genuine, and welcoming. The food had some really good moments throughout. I really appreciated the attempt at showcasing the season’s bounty in all its forms, even if it meant an inordinate number of dishes starring tomatoes. And overall, the food was tasty. Where it fell short to me was in the quality of the ingredients and in how they were presented. If you’re going to feature a thick slice of an heirloom tomato at this price point, it better come close to being the best slice of tomato that I’m going to ever eat. Unfortunately, it didn’t come anywhere near. Same for the other fruit on offering- I’ve eaten better berries and melon bought from Whole Foods. That being said, the different preparations of corn were delightful. The plating was very hit or miss. And while I appreciated ending the meal by the backyard fire pit, I think the garden variety s’more offered was a missed opportunity to end with something more interesting. Overall, I liked Feld but didn’t love it. The price point is too steep for its current iteration. I think there is a lot of potential here but also a lot to sort through.”

“We loved our meal last night for Valentine’s Day! pair the duck bread with the squash soup. It was absolutely delicious. The goat cheese salad with the apple dressing was equally as good. My steak was cooked perfectly. We had an amazing espresso martini and a delightful crisp lemon cocktail. My husband also liked their old fashioned. We split caramel ice cream with pineapple and it was a great finishing touch. The Moscato d Asti never disappoints either this is our fourth Valentine’s Day with Brindille and it has been our tradition ever since we have been together. “When heading towards Beverly for a property management home inspection, I wanted to find a local coffee joint that I could get a coffee and a snack of some sort. Afro Joe's was calling to me. Walking in, greeted warmly, the adventure began. If you haven't been, check the menu before you go because you will want to order one of each item! Since it was my first time, most certainly NOT the last, I needed a lifeline. Charmaine to the rescue. I don't know if I manifested or she read my mind , but when I asked which sandwich I should order instantly , she said the short rib! Boom! Done. Next up, a drink choice. Again I was not led astray. The option was a blueberry lavender cold brew topped with rose cold foam. As she was suggesting the option, Charmaine lifted the one she was drinking and again instantly sold. No chocolate croissant available since it was later in the morning but the chocolate morning roll was there and three for three, the order was placed. I already know that I have to come back, time and time again.Just walking in such a chill vibe , perfect music, everyone tables either working or chatting with a friend. The open kitchen invites you to see the hustle and bustle. The garage doors roll up onto the patio for warmer days and what appears to be local art work adorns the walls. When I tell you, this is absolutely no exaggeration, every item was on point! The short rib was so flavor forward eith the bite of picked onions, there was a side of diced pickles and onions too. Also a hit. The warm bun had some fruit nestled in its chocolatey tummy, flakes and moist with the richness of cocoa. And for the latte, cold, sweet and the flavors all complimented each other so well. I did opt for whole milk because, why not?!? I had one too many client emails and texts to be able to enjoy grabbing a book from the shelf but note, they even had the sharpest of colored pencils to doodle or write a note with. I have not one complaint, well, maybe one, I wish they were in my neighborhood because this would be a staple place to visit regularly! Until we meet again and I can get my hands on a chocolate croissant next...or any one of the other of their baked goods. Support your Local Black Owned Businesses!”

“I recently was visiting Chicago and as a habit, I searched for Best Gluten Free bakery and discovered Defloured. What an amazing place. As a Celiac, finding good GF baked goods is rare to find. Wow what a selection. I purchased a chocolate cupcake, two love pucks, cinnamon rolls, poppy lemon bread, baguette, and aNutella sandwich cookie. Everything was really delicious. I mean world class quality. I now plan on making regular visits to Chicago so I can load up and fill my freezer with possibly the best GF baked goods in the U.S. I’ve tried a lot.”

“Best Chinese food in Chicago! The Kung Pao Chicken is one of my favorites along with their Pork Fried Rice, but I have enjoyed many of their dishes - BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Pot Stickers, Beef Chop Suey on crispy chow mein noodles - all delicious. The servings are large - plenty to share or take home for tomorrow's lunch. All the staff are friendly and efficient, and you can eat in, pickup or order delivery. From the very first phone call, Rene, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The taco trays, beans, rice, guacamole, and chips were outstanding. The feedback from our guests was overwhelmingly positive, and not a single person was disappointed. The food was delivered fresh, hot, and right on time. The quality, service, and overall experience exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation and will definitely order from them again!”

“My biggest issue was arriving ON TIME for my reservation but being told I had to wait 30 mins for a table. Which was ridiculous. Ok fine. My other guest were literally finding parking and walking up .. when a table came up we couldn't be seated because they weren't there yet, which I get but they were literally 1 min away. They gave our table away in the one min causing us to wait longer. Which wouldn't be a problem if you hadn't told us we had a 30 min wait with a reservation in the first place. Once we were seated our server Jordan did a phenomenal job! She knew the menu offered great options and substitutions. The food and drinks were amazing. I got the stuffed salmon. Sauce on there is good but slightly salty. But I am always a member of the clean plate club and I left no crumbs ! I would go back they just need to work on that and having additional seating for those waiting.”

“The concept for the menu is a unique trip along the Pan-American highway with stops at various Latin countries. Each dish and drink is thoughtful in its ingredients and presentation. The jicama salad was refreshing, but not at all plain. The pastel de choclo was a wonderful surprise of a warm dish. The frozen el arenal was seriously dangerous in how delicious it was, I can’t recommend it enough. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was perfect. We are so thrilled to have this gem in the neighborhood and can’t wait to see what they do in the future!”

It was served open-faced, with a layer of cheese that was delightfully crispy on the outside and gooey underneath (like you normally only get on the edges) and the steak was on top of the cheese with cilantro, onion, and avo. Friendly staff shared meat treats with our pup. Two tables, shade, and front row seats to the meat roasting on a spit over hot coals. Will crave this until we visit again!!”
