“My Fiancé and I discovered this restaurant after watching “Somebody Feed Fill” and were inspired and intrigued by Sarah’s restaurant and craftsmanship. We had our eye on getting reservations here for a very long time and we ended up landing lunch reservations for my Fiancés birthday (whom is also a Chef). We just happened to be seated by the expo line near the kitchen where we saw Sarah working. From start to finish our server Rose, and Sarah made sure our experience was personalized special. Sarah even signed the cookbook we bought and menu! Everything was on point from the food to the service. I can see why it’s so hard to get a reservation here! If we could rate our experience higher we would. We greatly appreciate the hospitality and dedication that this restaurant displays!”

Simple but very complex; rustic but refined. And the service was impeccable. What a glorious end to our experience in Chicago!! Very highly recommend it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟”

“Amazing, flavorful and fresh food consistently comes out of this kitchen 😋. Highly recommend!!! If you love flavor combinations and textures, you will absolutely fall in love with this place and it's creative cuisine.”
“Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the whole experience felt really thoughtful. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Chicago.”
“Timeless old pub decor, friendly staff, good food, extensive drink selection. You can’t find a more appropriately named place for a Trappist ale.”
“Everything was delicious! The popover with honey butter was my favorite ❤️”
“We had the absolute best time at Reclaimed a few weeks ago. Their service, drinks, and food were unmatched. We will definitely be coming back. Make sure to check out their lounge lounge if you have the chance.”
“One of the best place to eat home made food and best service in Chicago landed area”
“Best steak I have ever had. 10/10”
“This place was great! If you're looking for a place where you feel like you're stepping back into Prohibition Chicago, this place is it. The food was great. I had the steak, which was seasoned and cooked perfectly, I had a few of their signature cocktail, which were decent, the service was a bit slow but it was a packed house so that is understandable. But overall, definitely something that I will plan on coming back to again. Maybe for their Valentine's Day Massacre show.”
“Cool spot!! My wife and I had a random craving for a juicy (not fast food) burger and decided on BRGRBelly in Portage Park. It was exactly what we had in mind! I got the Rising Sun A thick, tasty juicy burger that was not overpriced, served with waay too many fries! We'll definitely be back. 100% recommend”
“I have been coming to this Bakery as long as they have been open, every year I get myself a birthday cake yesterday I picked up a personal birthday cake, I was shocked there was maybe an inch of cake the rest was icing and the strawberries were sour in all the years of coming to this Bakery, im just hurt”
“Thanks for your staff for a hard session for our rugby match v New Zealand the staff and service were fabulous. However, rugby people drink way more guinness than a st Patrick's day crowd. All the best”
“Great place to hang out, have a beverage, and play a board game!”
“Amazing food, great atmosphere!”
“Truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I waited two years to come back for the gnocchi. Wonderful service and atmosphere, it’s a must anytime you’re in Chicago.”
“The food is off the chain good. Especially the fried donuts!!!”
“Wonderful restaurant. Food was excellent very close to what I had in Rome. Staff very friendly and made our dining very enjoyable! Go here!!”
“A treat for all of the senses! My introduction to The Gundis was a Sunday breakfast. What a beautiful feast was laid before me, my husband and a local friend who we were visiting. We ordered the Kurdish breakfast for two plus an order of baklawa crêpes. An array of colorful, tantalizingly-scented dishes soon filled our table. Superb savory and sweet flavors awaited our taste buds. All of us were amazed by the diverse deliciousness. The atmosphere and service were also excellent. It was truly pleasurable to indulge in a breakfast feast like no other. My only complaint is that I live too far to return often. Kudos to this Kurdish delight.”

“The tour was amazing! If you’re lucky enough to get Chris, you won’t be bored or ill-informed! I love the sip and stroll style of this tour and it gives a personalized experience as well as a small town feel. I haven’t shut up about it! It’s a great gap filler in the day downtown, whether you’re local or visiting! One of the best spur of the moment plans!”
“Nha Hang gets a lot of hype and it lives up! The pho tai is absolutely phenomenal. It is perfect, I wouldn't change a thing. A massive portion that also has an appropriate amount of noodles and beef. The broth is pure and so impeccably balanced. It was an absolute pleasure to eat. The vegetable spring rolls are also good. I cant wait to come back!”

“This place has a cool, hip vibe and it’s fun to eat at the communal tables. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great variety of beer and creative craft cocktails. Food is beautifully plated and delicious - make sure to try the potatoes, baby gem salad and hanger steak.”

“We went last night to celebrate our anniversary and had an incredible meal. We did have a short wait for our table, but the staff was very apologetic and delivered outstanding service. Without us mentioning the delay, the hostess brought us champagne to apologize for our table running behind. Once seated, we received another complimentary drink and an appetizer. They made us feel truly special. The wait did not bother us at all, yet the team still went out of their way to make it right. Some of the best service we have ever experienced at a restaurant. 10/10”

“I went to Indienne with friends to celebrate 50th birthdays. The experience did not disappoint. Indienne delivered an exceptional dining experience with its tasting menu. The food was truly phenomenal—beautifully presented, thoughtful, and layered with bold yet refined flavors that felt both creative and rooted in tradition. Each course was memorable with different takes on recognizable dishes. While the drinks were just okay and didn’t quite rise to the same level as the food, they also didn’t detract from the overall experience. The tasting menu alone makes Indienne well worth the visit, especially for anyone who appreciates inventive, high-quality cuisine.”
24 Hour Restaurants
“I loved it. Have been passing by this place since over a decade ago and never had the time. By coincidence I checked it out a few days ago and I ordered a double cheeseburger with onion rings and it was delicious! I also had a chilli which I recommend if you’re into dips! Very good service. Modest prices.”
“The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The pool has floaties and toys for littles, that was a nice touch. It is not super warm for being heated but wasn’t terrible. Our only complaint was breakfast at ETA. On our second morning we were informed that it would be a buffet that day and the next day, and the cost would be $29.99 for each adult and $15 for kids 12 and under. The buffet was underwhelming and the equivalent to a free continental breakfast you’d get at a Best Western. It was cheap bacon, the powder egg mix, if you get what I’m saying, definitely not $30 quality. There were other guests at the buffet that were as unimpressed as us.”
“I been coming to this area for over five years and I like that captain hooks is open 24 hours. I like the service of the staff and the food is always hot and delicious.
Kid-friendliness: There are kid meals
Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicap parking available”
“I was going to another place for breakfast this morning while visiting Chicago; I don't know places well. But there was no parking there, and ... I saw plenty of parking near the Golden Apple. So hey, I stopped. Glad I did! VERY friendly, comfortable, nice staff and customers too. The food was fast and delicious. I had a chorizo breakfast burrito, it was big, and full of good stuff, not just a bunch of beans. My waitress was friendly, and quick to refill my coffee. I'm tagging this on Google Maps for the next time I'm in town.”
“I was downtown craving boba at like 7pm, when a lot of boba shops were closed, and this vending machine came up on google, so I decided to try it! I got the roast oolong milk tea with agar and it was sweet and creamy and tasted the same as what I I would expect fresh from a boba shop. My only complaint is that I wish the different bubble teas were clearly labeled right in the vending machine. Instead, you have to go through and click on each one on the touch screen to find out what they are.”
“I am late writing my review but I had to write it !! I visited provare chicago On july 8th !! From start to finish this restaurant gets 5 starts . The decor was nice and set a perfect atmosphere for a great night . We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated within 5 minutes of being there . Once seated the wait staff began their introduction's on drinks and popular menu item's. After my party ordered drinks and appetizers a gentleman came over (not sure if he was the manager) and introduce himself and made sure we were having a great experience. Appetizers were amazing!! We couldn't wait for dinner!! Our entrées we just as good if not better ! Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection! When we didn't think the night could get even better the entire wait staff and the gentleman that came over before stopped and recognized my friend for her birthday and brought over a birthday surprise!! I live 307 miles and this place was definitely worth the drive !!!”
“Gilt Bar "gets it". A foodies playground. Top notch flavor and beautiful decor throughout. The Ron Zacapa 23 Rum is 🤌🏾 Oh, and don't forget to take a few pics in the photo booth downstairs 📸”
Takeout Restaurants
“My mom and I were in Chinatown looking for a place to have some great fried rice. Yao Yao came up when we searched Google and then we stumbled on it as we were walking so we decided to give it a try. It was clean, spacious and the decor was so cute! Upon reading the reviews further, we found out that this place’s specialty is their pickled fish and that it’s a Michelin star restaurant but we didn’t end up getting it. We ordered their shrimp fried rice with extra veggies, their shrimp Lo mein and their chili chicken. We were disappointed about the fried rice as it barely had any flavor and the shrimp for both the fried rice and Lo mein was lacking in flavor. We kept adding soy sauce and chili oil to make the rice taste decent but the other dishes were good! The chili chicken was very delicious and full of flavor!! We would go back again for the Lo mein, the chili chicken & to try the pickled fish next time but not the fried rice.”
“Being from the suburbs traveling downtown can be an experience. This particular experience made our day. Moving our daughter into DePaul we came upon the owner of Red Light chicken who gave us a few pointers in parking near his establishment, after taking the time to help us find a spot he happily welcomed us with a free chicken sandwich which I’m happy to report was delicious. It was nice meeting you tonight and I’ll be certainly stopping by again - Fries are a game changer to!!!”

“I'm from Iowa, took a little weekend trip to Chicago. A friend told us we HAD to try Lula's. SO thankful we did. I will be traveling back to Chicago just to take my mom here. Outstanding service from every single employee, incredible food, and just overall 10/10. Absolutely recommend.”
“I often seek out experiences at Michelin-starred restaurants when traveling, and Chicago has its fair share of choices. I have dined several times at 3-star Alinea pre-pandemic, so I chose to book 2-star Oriole for this trip; it has perhaps the most buzz recently (ie, from Infatuation). Like Alinea, it's not just a meal, it's an experience, although less theatrical and perhaps more food-focused.\n\n Unassumingly located in a former warehouse on an alley, one enters the building via a small outdoor patio. There is a small reception area, part of which is a former freight elevator, where you are served a chilled tea. The elevator reminded me (and apparently other guests) of the Tower of Terror ride at Disney World's Hollywood Studios. The rear of the elevator opens up from the middle (as freight elevators do) and parties are individually escorted into the restaurant. Aside from a lounge area for waiting diners, there are 3 areas through which guests travel and take bites--the bar (3 bites), the open kitchen (one bite), and the dining room.\n\nWe may have seen Executive Chef/owner Noah Sandoval, but he blended in with the entire kitchen team, which was not small. The menu consisted of 14 courses/bites which surely change often; you are given a copy of your particular menu at the end of the experience, including whichever beverage pairing you had, if any. I had the non-alcoholic beverage pairing, which mostly consisted of highly complex tea-based drinks. A server told me all staff members participate in creating these elixirs.\n\nSince the courses surely change, it seems silly to list them all. I will say the 3 bites we had at the bar were all with raw or barely touched seafood and had broths so delicious we were slurping from the serving vessels like they were teacups. \n\nThe single bite served in the kitchen is perhaps the most memorable and unlikely to change with time. It's a Hudson Valley foie gras mousse served over toasted brioche and topped with blueberries--OMG!\n\nThe courses in the dining room were all fabulous and multi-layered. My faves were probably the Matsutake custard, the Wagyu ribeye and the carrot cake. \n\nOverall a pricey but unique and enthralling experience.”
“I finally got to try Rubi’s on 18th and let me tell you. OMG! I do believe these are the BEST tacos, I've EVER had. The cashier was super nice and friendly, the food was fresh and there was a lot of it for the price. I can’t wait to go back already. I got 4 steak tacos, strawberry horchata, and guacamole and chips. Thank you guys! Monica Miranda! See you next time.”
“Cannot stress enough how amazing this place is!!! Not only is the toasted marshmallow hot cocoa life changing, the food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is so pleasant to be around! They definitely made our lunch special today! Will definitely be back every time I visit Chicago!”

“I absolutely love the vibe at Afro Joe's. The beverages & food are always amazing. I order online, grab it & go when I have to keep it moving. But when I have the opportunity to sit and chill, it's a whole vibe and I LOVE IT! Great job Aisha & Kendall Griffin!”
“If you’re looking for cozy vibes, killer food, and a board game collection that could humble even the most confident strategist, this café is your new happy place. The real MVP? Matt, our waitress, who somehow juggled food orders, game rule explanations, and emotional support like a seasoned dungeon master. She’s basically the Gandalf of good service. The food was shockingly excellent. The grilled cheese healed us. The fries may have unlocked a new level of consciousness. Come for the games, stay for the food, worship Matt. Would trade all my victory points to come back!”
“Great dining experience today! We came towards the end of the night and the staff was friendly and kind. Service was fast and the vegan ramen was incredible. (I subbed in regular noodles and added an egg) My sister got the regular ramen and said it was some of the best pork she had ever had in ramen.
Prices are fair for the quality
We randomly stumbled upon this place so glad it worked out so well!”
“Yawl have the best sauce in Chicago! it never fails my family! Happy Holidays from My Family to Yours!”
Fine Dining
“Amazing food and service. We had the tasting menu and it was incredibly tasty and really well thought out. Service was great and really contributed to being able to enjoy the food and understand the vision of the chef. Atmosphere was alright, I expect it will improve as they settle in to their new location.”
“Dinner at Schwa was truly a memorable dining experience. The intimate, chef-driven space is something special and very outside the norm. The multi-course tasting menu was innovative, beautifully presented, and full of bold flavors, The staff was welcoming and passionate, and you can tell the team at Schwa enjoys what they do and have a good time doing it every dish felt like a creative discovery.”
“Wow. It's simply impossible that fine dining could be this fantastic. Tashon, Jens, and Jackie rolled out the red carpet so amazingly, you would have thought our last name was Bou. Sebastian behind the counter was simply breathtaking. We've had omakase at some of the world's leading places in Miami, in Seattle, in NYC, and Tokyo, led by folks who were trained by one of the global icons, and I have to say that Sebastian's ability to create absolutely new and inventive tastes and flavors - while adhering to simple and gorgeous presentations - was simply unmatched. While Sebastian was working his magic, the rest of the team was working hard to make sure every other part of the experience was simply flawless. Water? Always full. Cocktails? We were always asked about how we enjoyed each one well before each was empty, by the expert mixologist who was able to explain the difference between how American mint and Japanese mint can enhance the flavor of certain beverages. Plates? Cleared instantly. Feedback welcomed by the chef? Absolutely. The energy level is not “watch me make your next item while the brightly lit room cowers in awkward silence” - like so many high end omakase spots. This experience is more like “Do you want to be sad when your dinner ends because you don't know when you're ever going to feel this happy with a meal?” There's so much more I could say, including how the effective background evening vibes by Utah's legendary DJ Ta-Salmon made us want to sing each employee's praises. As MJB once said, it truly feels like this team is a family, and it was a Family Affair. Concluding, let me say what MJB would - when you go to Sushi by Bou at Fulton Market - Leave your stress (and hunger) at the door, so when you step inside, you'll see what's in store. Sigh... I know every review is supposed to have one “constructive critique”, but we can't find a single flaw in our entire experience. Thank you, Sushi by Bao team!”
“One of, if not, the most impactful meal I have had in the past couple of years and maybe ever. Every details from the playlist to the type of wood used in the utensils was carefully curated by the amazing team. Some dishes were enjoyed with frustration, knowing that I would never be able to have anything like them ever again, others with amazement and some were just too good for me to forget. I cannot sing the praises of this place enough. I am so incredibly lucky to have visited in the earlier years of its establishment, and hope to come back as frequently as I can. Congratulations to Chef Potashnick and his team on the incredible success that is Feld.”
“I seriously wanted to give this place a 5 star rating. But one star got away because the evening went by super fast. I meant just approximately 75 minutes for the 18 course dinner.
This is not a pure Sushi (Nigiri) Omakase place, rather a part French-part Kaiseki-part Nigiri Omakase style place. The chefs don't skimp on ingredients and everything is top quality. The taste is excellent as well as the execution. The service is shuttle yet never lacking. Yet, the dishes show up one after another without a break.
If the actual dinner time could be stretched out to 100 minutes, this place is destined to be a wholesome experience.”
“Amazing time! Danny was my server! He is the best very attentive very helpful. the hostess was great also and sweet”
Cheap Eats
“I loved this place! Excellent food and service. Very friendly atmosphere. Store front is well lit and nicely organized. Our table was clean. The plates were very nice.
Only room for improvement may just be deep cleaning aspects. Otherwise, I will be coming back for the authentic food!”
“The pastries are very delicious! I have a variety of them. They are some of the best I have had in unexpected combinations. The latte I had was floral and balanced. It was a Lavender Latte. If you love coffee and pastries, you do not want to miss out on this experience. Cafe Calida has a selection that is full of flavor that is truly sure to delight. Visit them today to see for yourself. Check their hours of operation.”
“Delish coffee, superfriendly staff 💜☕️
I ordered a capp with an extra shot of espresso, oat milk, and their seasonal apple spice syrup. Perfectly balanced (I even forgot to ask for it half-sweet, like I usually do, but my coffee still tasted like coffee, not like straight sugar 🙌🏼 - much appreciated!!)
Coffee was quick to come up, and there’s plenty of street parking in this sparse industrial neighborhood.
Love it!”
“always great pizza, really friendly staff, and good prices for the amount of food! I would go for the specialty slices. my favs are the mac and the chicken and waffles!! place itself is pretty no frills but staff was friendly enough to change TVs to games we were interested in!!”
“Great atomosphere cool concept like how they call out the alcohol and food orders when Ready. The pimento Mac was great flavor, as was the mashed and gravy. Very unique to have boneless breast thighs wing and leg portions battered and fried. Was very good. I just think the sauces were way to pricey at $1.45 a sauce wow even 99 cents seems a lot but would feel better lol. At least give one with the order or reduce the sauce price. But overall they need to spread this concept into more areas for sure out side like in the suburbs”
“This place is impeccable. The food is amazing and the service is wonderful. Dessert blew my mind. So inventive and fun! Highly recommend.”
“Friends and I have been frequent fliers here for the past 2 years. If you can only get one thing, get the pressed and torches roll. You will not regret it! Updated from previous review on 2026-01-16”

“An absolute amazing experience. Friendly staff, and great service. Our server was Whitney was great. I would recommend this spot greatly. Josh was a great waiter and was very friendly.”
“Outstanding! Highly recommended Knowledgeable, friendly staff and incredible experience”
“Very good. Our service was excellent we had Maidi as a waitress excellent and the bus boys were efficient and helpful Eating there is an enjoyable time.”
“Beautiful food and wine. Great atmosphere. Staff that were attentive without being overbearing. Michelin stars. And a 5m walk from the apartment. This could become an expensive habit!”
“We went last night for the first time… Great menu options, food was delicious, portions were perfect, staff was really nice. I had the Grilled Salmon, he had the Braised Pork Shoulder…definitely recommend both.”
“my best friend and I just had the BEST experience at the whale! Our waitress taylor was incredible and the manager (so sorry but we never got his name because he was just being so nice to us) was incredible as well. We will definitely return with friends and recommend anyone to try it out! classy, but not snobby, cool decor, warm kind and accommodating staff, and great food and cocktails are just the cherry on top! try the carrot cake after your meal :) Thank you again to taylor and the manager again <3”
“Amazing freshest sushi , best in the town , great service , and nice ambiance.”
“The food is delicious and the drinks are great!! The atmosphere was amazing!!”
“We had a lovely time at Oliver's The service was excellent, the food and drinks were delicious, and the ambiance is upscale yet warm and inviting. We will return and we will recommend Oliver's.”
“Very top tier Japanese Restaurant in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. Fresh food, fresh, delicious, world class chef, and an evening to remember.”
“We had a great meal at Fiya. The Chicken Schwarma was excellent and I really enjoyed the side salad I ordered. It had a burst of flavor in every mouthful. Service was very attentive.”
“Great happy hour daily 5-6pm The burgers are so good !! Always fun”
“Great food, amazing ambiance and incredible staff. One of the nicest Chicago steakhouses I’ve been to. Highly recommend.”
“I had an engagement party for my Son and his fiancée. It was in the lawn next to our building on the lake in Chicago. A casually elegant setting. We had a lot of different food prepared professionally and I made salads, and we grilled steaks, burgers and chicken. Khmai was enlisted to do all the appetizers, some additional salads and various spreads and dips. I have Mai my approximate budget, let her know what I was preparing and planned to cook and asked her to do her best to come up with what she thought would be best as complimentary. She outdid herself. The staff is lovely to work with, helpful and genuine. My guests were blown away by the delicious and complex tastes we are not used to since most had never had Cambodian food prior. Fermented catfish dip? Wonderful, all the rolls veg or not were terrific, shrimp toast was my personal favorite, salads crisp, spicy and everything felt special and unique. Flavors so rich and vibrant felt like a special treat. It was perfect served with standard picnic fare a little elevated. The atmosphere of the party was pitch perfect, while retaining a quiet all American type picnic feel, the quality of both the food I had prepared and grilled, plus the array of flavors the appetizers added made it seem really special and definitely a treat and celebratory. It felt like someone really cared and tried to make it memorable and my guests were over the moon for this food. I would absolutely recommend dining there, we have a few times and it’s a family feeling you just can’t force or create without it being real. Thank you for your heart and talent to this wonderfully talented mother and daughter team!”
“The pasta was incredible!!!! Alfonso was our server and he was fantastic and really good at helping us out when we couldn’t figure out what to order!”
“Intimate place with great food and service. Chicken parmesan and rigatoni were delicious. If I lived closer, I certainly would be a regular.”
“The food was great and the atmosphere perfect Im from Monterrey and I felt I was there!!!!”
“Great food! Celebrating several birthdays. The server was very sweet. They were busy but we were comfortable. Asked for items as the servers came by. Will definitely return.”
“We’re huge fans of The Bear, which steered us here on our Chicago trip - so glad we found this place! We loved the mushroom adobo and longnanisa breakfast sandwich! The mango tarts were amazing, as were our lattes. We left with an apple hand pie to eat the following morning, which was still had perfectly crispy pastry. Definitely worth the hour wait to get in.”
“Loved trying this Ramen place. It was a cute cozy spot to stop for a delicious bowl of Ramen, I especially loved that there was a low sodium option! Wish they had chicken as an option.”
“10/10 experience with Eddie! Had a birthday event for some friends and he was super helpful and accommodating! Definitely would recommend this place! Can’t wait to come back!”
“I love this American restaurant, the food is delicious, satisfying and enjoyable. I especially love the burgers and fries, they are freshly made and very authentic. In addition, the environment here is also very comfortable and spacious, which makes people feel very relaxed and happy. The waiters are also very friendly and welcoming, they always greet guests with a smile and provide many useful tips and recommendations. All in all, this is a very good American restaurant and I will come here often to enjoy the food and time.”
“Amazing experience! The food was great…best steak that I’ve ever had!”
“Excellent food and service to go with an excellent beer selection. The Far Post Nitro Pub Ale was a welcome surprise. Not the most Irish of experiences in Chicago but it tracks with the Guinness store in Dublin so can't complain.”
“We had an amazing Brunch on Saturday celebrating my sisters birthday! Keri was our waitress and one of the excellent performers! The show was amazing and we had so much fun! Every performer is Spectacular and brings so much energy to the room. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended”
“goodNESS this is a phenomenal meal. you are bombarded with delicious scents the minute you walk in, and it’s such a cozy intimate space, beautifully decorated. we had the samosas (excellent), chicken 65 (incredible), kofta makhani (divine), and the dhanteraz lamb biriyani (may have changed my life). even the garlic & onion naans were wonderful. drink-wise, i think every table had mango lassis, and this is correct. we also shared a cup of the saffron coffee, which was the creamiest & best coffee i can imagine. i’d be remiss not to mention the beautiful service we got from victoria—she was amazing and really put a lovely bow on our gorgeous meal. can’t wait to return!
Parking: roscoe parking is what it is. we found one a couple blocks away and considered ourselves supremely lucky.”
“One of our favorite places to eat when we’re in Chicago. Love the atmosphere, food and cocktails. Will be back soon.”
“Thank you Fernando and Ismael at 5 rabanitos!! Great food, great drinks and great service. Can’t wait to go back!”
“I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The shoyu ramen with fried chicken is delicious, well-balanced broth paired with perfectly crispy and juicy fried chicken that complements the ramen beautifully.
The service from Natalia, the server, was outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and highly professional, making the entire experience even better with her warm smile and great recommendations.
Amazing food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!”
“Highly recommended for first dates, or just going with a group of friends. Been here twice, and everyone there is super friendly, definitely a place to have a lot of laughs and make great memories. 10/10 🙌🏼”
“Me and a friend stopped here before a concert at the Radius, and this will be the official pregame for anytime I have a concert there. Great food, excellent drink selections, friendly staff...highly recommend!”
“Fue una gran sorpresa, porque al entrar a el restaurante te sientes como si estuviese entrando a una casa, con muy buen gusto en la decoración, cómoda y cozy ! El servicio fue muy bueno, profesional y acogedor. Comí la hamburguesa con papitas fritas trufadas y me encantó. recomienda este restaurante para almuerzo y cena. ”
“All the entrees were well seasoned and not with salt. They would very flavorful and pleasing to the eye.The owner and staff were great! For the price, this is a hidden gem and the mint tea is a must post dining. Highly recommend!”
“This place has a cool, hip vibe and it’s fun to eat at the communal tables. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great variety of beer and creative craft cocktails. Food is beautifully plated and delicious - make sure to try the potatoes, baby gem salad and hanger steak.”
“The best experience, I love that place. Delicious food. El mejor lugar; me encantó, deliciosa comida. Atención excelente, paciencia a la hora de atender y poner entender a los latinos que no hablamos tan bien el inglés.”

“This is my MOST FAVORITE bbq place in the whole USA. Been to many places but they food is absolutely delicious. Their staff is very very nice too, when I told them I was from Seattle, they treated me even more special. It’s Restaurant is a 10/10 💕🥰”
“Stopped for a quick bite and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The ramen was rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Alex took the time to walk us through the menu and made excellent recommendations that really elevated our meal. Fantastic service and delicious food! We will absolutely be back!”
“So much fun. Creative cocktails that look amazing and taste even better.”
“The food was great. The wait staff was courteous and professional.”
“Esme is truly an experience to have. We did the menu and the wine pairing and it was amazing. From the presentation to the food was unbelievable and will definitely do it again as it changes quarterly”
“This is the only ramen I've ever had that is beef based and I definitely recommend everyone try it because it is different from your pork/chicken based. While it was delicious, I prefer a pork based broth with bork belly. I was very happy that you could get corn and onions in it as those are some of my favorite ramen toppings and the noodles were outstanding.”
“Absolutely incredible meal! Up there with Alinea and Oriole as one of the best meals I've ever had! A tour of the kitchen where THE BEAR filmed was a great way to end it.”
“The rose tteokbokki is THE BEST in the city. Service is amazing and I always come back. They also have multiple karaoke rooms so you can host a birthday or any celebration here!”
“This might be my favorite business in the city. First of all, their draft menu is huge and rotates all the time. You can always find quality imported Belgian beer, but then you flip the menu over and there's loads of other unique beers. Some brewed in Chicago, some from other cities, and even some other imported stuff. I frequently find rare and unique beers here that I would have never thought to seek out. Plus, they have ciders and meade on draft.
Then, if somehow you don't see anything on draft you want, they have an entire laminated booklet full of bottled beers. Again, heavy on the Belgian stuff but plenty of other options too. They even have NA beers, gluten free, a good wine selection, and house cocktails.
All this alone is enough to bring you in, but the vibes are also immaculate. The place has a old timey, wooden everything charm and is covered in interesting branded beer signs. There's a second bar on the first floor and a third one upstairs if it's busy. There's garage door windows that they open when the weather is nice. And there's a gorgeous patio in the back. One of the rare places to eat/drink outside that's not next to a street or parking lot. I love coming here on weekdays to get work done when it's not crowded, or bringing friends to hang out on a weekend.
The food here is good too. It's not usually what draws me in, but the bread butter board or cheese board are always a nice complement to the beers.
My only complaint is that nothing here is cheap (I always end up spending $40-60/person just on beers). But it's so, so worth it.”
“Wonderful evening ,i truly miss the team that was performing in 2023-2034”
“A very creative kitchen serves up surprising dishes in every course, even dessert, where many restaurants just go through the motions. They also serve up cocktails that you are not likely to see anywhere else. What comes as no surprise, is that they are a Michelin starred restaurant.”
“Very cool place, exclusive-feeling, but not at all pretentious. Really interesting, complex and well-balanced cocktails. Our bartender also created many of the drinks on the menu, so we could ask all about the recipes and flavor profiles. Candles galore set the mood. A great find!”

“This is one of my favorite places in Chicago! It's literally a little hidden gem. As a Venezuelan, I can tell you that these taste very authentic and above that DELICIOUS! In the summer I was going every Sunday morning for a coffee and Porkie in an arepa! So GOOD! I've taken so many of my friends, and never disappoints. I rave because I love! XO See you this weekend!!”
“I have tried most of the Cuban restaurants in and around Chicago and this is the best for authentic Cuban food and consistency. I find the BYOB a real plus. The only problem is the hours are short if you want to go out for dinner. Almost impossible if you are a working person to get to the restaurant before closing. Even weekends are a problem. The quality of the food makes it my favorite place to go to eat the best Cuban food.”
“I came in with a food allergy, no Onions, The fellas behind the counter, jumped quickly in action, and knew exactly which items had onions, and onion powder in it. They made sure not to have utensils, which were not touching other foods that may have touched onions. AMAZING to find a place that caters to my needs. They made a Parmesan encrusted catfish, NOT overcooked, Glistening, perfectly cooked, and the sweet potatoes, WOW. I just wanted you to know that this place is a hidden gem.”

“The options were lovely. The place is very happening so you need to look at the signs to know where to go.
We had a Chicago roast pour over and Doppio espresso. Both were great and the presentation made the coffee a true experience.
We'll be back probably today for an espresso martini. Review to come.”

“Went for brunch. Food is good but nothing very creative. Had the French dip, really good but needed a bit more horseradish. The fries are amazing. Flight of cinnamon rolls wasn’t great value. Cesar salad was minuscule. Overall good food. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was a little close for me and too noisy.”
“The food was OUTSTANDING! Best mexican food I have ever had. The chips and warm salsa were delicious. We had the shrimp and chicken fajitas and those were so tasty. The margarita was sooo yummy! They even had kid's options for our daughter. Very accommodating and the atmosphere was perfect. Hope to return sometime! Thank you!”
“Absolutely incredible. Went for a belated birthday dinner and was wowed every step of the way.
From the intimate setting, to the inventive dishes, to the incredibly kind and attentive staff, this is truly a 5-star experience from beginning to end.
The beauty in the menu is the ability to highlight Wagyu without having to rely on it. Each element of each course is planned and executed with precision.
Truly one of the best restaurant experiences. Excited to go back.”
“The concept for the menu is a unique trip along the Pan-American highway with stops at various Latin countries. Each dish and drink is thoughtful in its ingredients and presentation. The jicama salad was refreshing, but not at all plain. The pastel de choclo was a wonderful surprise of a warm dish. The frozen el arenal was seriously dangerous in how delicious it was, I can’t recommend it enough. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was perfect. We are so thrilled to have this gem in the neighborhood and can’t wait to see what they do in the future!”
“Primetime Bar and Grill is an absolute gem. The burger is phenomenal—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection—and the wings are just as impressive, packed with bold flavor and cooked exactly right. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the atmosphere and the people. From the moment you walk in, they treat you like family, making you feel genuinely welcome and appreciated. Great food, great service, and a great vibe all around. Highly recommend Primetime Bar and Grill to anyone looking for an outstanding meal and an even better experience.”
“Very creative cocktais; well balanced and creative menu. Loved the banchan to start, and we particularly enjoyed the Galbi with lettuce wraps. Kimchi fried rice was another hit as well as the mushroom bulgogi that blew us away. Staff were attentive and fun to chat with. 10/10 overall and we'll definitely be back!”
“The service was excellent!! Starting with host. We thought we didn't have a reservation and she did her best to squeeze us in for an early dinner. We later realized that we had made reservations. The servers were great. Answered our questions and went above and beyond. The Chef came out greet us and ask how everything was.
Now the food...yum...we had olives, I thought I was in Italy, the burrata melts in your mouth. We had honeynut squash with pepitas and anchovies..to start and I think i would have them all again.
As for the pizzas..we tried the butternut squash, sausage, pepperoni, and funghi pizza. I had all but the funghi, I forgot to taste but it was a hit, as were all the pizzas. Can't wait to go back. They have a nice big, beautiful patio where they make pizzas as well.
Almost forgot, we had the Autumn Spice Panna Cotta and the Chocolate Pot de Créme, and both were so yummy and not too sweet, just the perfect amount of sweetness.”
“Really enjoyed this place. Ramen seemed priced fine for the amount you get, very flavorful. Nigiri was very fresh, buttery soft. It was more expensive but well worth it. Some of the specialty sushi dishes would be more doable with a group of people so can try a little of everything for a more reasonable price. Definitely would come again.”
