“My Fiancé and I discovered this restaurant after watching “Somebody Feed Fill” and were inspired and intrigued by Sarah’s restaurant and craftsmanship. We had our eye on getting reservations here for a very long time and we ended up landing lunch reservations for my Fiancés birthday (whom is also a Chef). We just happened to be seated by the expo line near the kitchen where we saw Sarah working. From start to finish our server Rose, and Sarah made sure our experience was personalized special. Sarah even signed the cookbook we bought and menu! Everything was on point from the food to the service. I can see why it’s so hard to get a reservation here! If we could rate our experience higher we would. We greatly appreciate the hospitality and dedication that this restaurant displays!”

The food is incredible as always. It is one of the most fine dining meals I've ever had quite honestly with flavor, ingredients, presentation and creativity.

“Nha Hang gets a lot of hype and it lives up! The pho tai is absolutely phenomenal. It is perfect, I wouldn't change a thing. A massive portion that also has an appropriate amount of noodles and beef. The broth is pure and so impeccably balanced. It was an absolute pleasure to eat. The vegetable spring rolls are also good. I cant wait to come back!”

“A treat for all of the senses! My introduction to The Gundis was a Sunday breakfast. What a beautiful feast was laid before me, my husband and a local friend who we were visiting. We ordered the Kurdish breakfast for two plus an order of baklawa crêpes. An array of colorful, tantalizingly-scented dishes soon filled our table. Superb savory and sweet flavors awaited our taste buds. All of us were amazed by the diverse deliciousness. The atmosphere and service were also excellent. It was truly pleasurable to indulge in a breakfast feast like no other. My only complaint is that I live too far to return often. Kudos to this Kurdish delight.”

“I am late writing my review but I had to write it !! I visited provare chicago On july 8th !! From start to finish this restaurant gets 5 starts . The decor was nice and set a perfect atmosphere for a great night . We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated within 5 minutes of being there . Once seated the wait staff began their introduction's on drinks and popular menu item's. After my party ordered drinks and appetizers a gentleman came over (not sure if he was the manager) and introduce himself and made sure we were having a great experience. Appetizers were amazing!! We couldn't wait for dinner!! Our entrées we just as good if not better ! Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection! When we didn't think the night could get even better the entire wait staff and the gentleman that came over before stopped and recognized my friend for her birthday and brought over a birthday surprise!! I live 307 miles and this place was definitely worth the drive !!!”

“The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The pool has floaties and toys for littles, that was a nice touch. It is not super warm for being heated but wasn’t terrible. Our only complaint was breakfast at ETA. On our second morning we were informed that it would be a buffet that day and the next day, and the cost would be $29.99 for each adult and $15 for kids 12 and under. The buffet was underwhelming and the equivalent to a free continental breakfast you’d get at a Best Western. It was cheap bacon, the powder egg mix, if you get what I’m saying, definitely not $30 quality. There were other guests at the buffet that were as unimpressed as us.”

“I was going to another place for breakfast this morning while visiting Chicago; I don't know places well. But there was no parking there, and ... I saw plenty of parking near the Golden Apple. So hey, I stopped. Glad I did! VERY friendly, comfortable, nice staff and customers too. The food was fast and delicious. I had a chorizo breakfast burrito, it was big, and full of good stuff, not just a bunch of beans. My waitress was friendly, and quick to refill my coffee. I'm tagging this on Google Maps for the next time I'm in town.”

“I was downtown craving boba at like 7pm, when a lot of boba shops were closed, and this vending machine came up on google, so I decided to try it! I got the roast oolong milk tea with agar and it was sweet and creamy and tasted the same as what I I would expect fresh from a boba shop. My only complaint is that I wish the different bubble teas were clearly labeled right in the vending machine. Instead, you have to go through and click on each one on the touch screen to find out what they are.”

“My mom and I were in Chinatown looking for a place to have some great fried rice. Yao Yao came up when we searched Google and then we stumbled on it as we were walking so we decided to give it a try. It was clean, spacious and the decor was so cute! Upon reading the reviews further, we found out that this place’s specialty is their pickled fish and that it’s a Michelin star restaurant but we didn’t end up getting it. We ordered their shrimp fried rice with extra veggies, their shrimp Lo mein and their chili chicken. We were disappointed about the fried rice as it barely had any flavor and the shrimp for both the fried rice and Lo mein was lacking in flavor. We kept adding soy sauce and chili oil to make the rice taste decent but the other dishes were good! The chili chicken was very delicious and full of flavor!! We would go back again for the Lo mein, the chili chicken & to try the pickled fish next time but not the fried rice.”

Also love their marinated meats and veggie variety. The place was packed when we went but the wait wasn't bad at all. In particular, the Morel Manti, see the photo, was the single meatiest vegetarian dish I've ever had.”

El día de hoy, martes 26 de noviembre, llegué a cenar a las 8:45 pm confiando en la información publicada en sus redes sociales, donde claramente se especifica que el horario de cierre es a las 11:00 pm. No obstante, a las 9:30 pm ya se estaba anunciando el "último llamado" para bebidas alcohólicas. Además, durante mi estancia, fui testigo de cómo dos familias fueron rechazadas para cenar por el mismo motivo: el restaurante estaba cerrando antes de tiempo debido a "la falta de clientes". Entiendo que puedan surgir situaciones operativas, pero considero que este tipo de decisiones impacta negativamente en la experiencia de sus clientes. Cuando se anuncia un horario de cierre, los clientes planeamos nuestras visitas en base a esa información. De no ser posible mantener el horario anunciado, sería más transparente ajustarlo oficialmente en sus plataformas para que las personas puedan planear con anticipación y, en caso necesario, optar por otras opciones. Por último, quiero mencionar que esta inconformidad fue compartida con nuestra mesera, quien nos escuchó con amabilidad. “We loved our meal last night for Valentine’s Day! pair the duck bread with the squash soup. It was absolutely delicious. The goat cheese salad with the apple dressing was equally as good. My steak was cooked perfectly. We had an amazing espresso martini and a delightful crisp lemon cocktail. My husband also liked their old fashioned. We split caramel ice cream with pineapple and it was a great finishing touch. The Moscato d Asti never disappoints either this is our fourth Valentine’s Day with Brindille and it has been our tradition ever since we have been together. “Great atomosphere cool concept like how they call out the alcohol and food orders when Ready. The pimento Mac was great flavor, as was the mashed and gravy. Very unique to have boneless breast thighs wing and leg portions battered and fried. Was very good. I just think the sauces were way to pricey at $1.45 a sauce wow even 99 cents seems a lot but would feel better lol. At least give one with the order or reduce the sauce price. But overall they need to spread this concept into more areas for sure out side like in the suburbs”

“It's wild that food this good can be this cheap. Dollar-for-dollar it is one of the best places to eat in the city. Also a great spot to grab hummus or babaganoush - the babaganoush is legit extraordinary - to go and eat at home. Cash only, not a lot of seating.”

“I have only been to this restaurant once. From the outside it looks like its barely hanging on. It needs some sprucing on the outside. The interior though is classic and traditional. It has an interior that Bronzeville's Pearls Place could really use and space that Valois in Hyde Park really needs. I can also recall how good the pancakes were. I can't say much about anything else. It's been a while. My hope is that they could clean up and modernize the outside. For this they may need an infusion of cash. I believe the outside is where the business falls off a bit I mean you wouldn't even think it was open for business. Its the only place worth eating at in the whole 8th ward. The area is filled with junk food options and it's a shame. I will be back soon.”

“I have tried most of the Cuban restaurants in and around Chicago and this is the best for authentic Cuban food and consistency. I find the BYOB a real plus. The only problem is the hours are short if you want to go out for dinner. Almost impossible if you are a working person to get to the restaurant before closing. Even weekends are a problem. The quality of the food makes it my favorite place to go to eat the best Cuban food.”

“I came in with a food allergy, no Onions, The fellas behind the counter, jumped quickly in action, and knew exactly which items had onions, and onion powder in it. They made sure not to have utensils, which were not touching other foods that may have touched onions. AMAZING to find a place that caters to my needs. They made a Parmesan encrusted catfish, NOT overcooked, Glistening, perfectly cooked, and the sweet potatoes, WOW. I just wanted you to know that this place is a hidden gem.”

“Visited the biggest Starbucks Reserve in the world after visiting the one in Milan, Italy. Unfortunately bigger doesn't mean better. That stairway loop and that thing in between the stairs, takes away value space for this store. It's much smaller than it seems and the one in Milan, although smaller, it was much nicer and more comfortable to move around. Do try that coffee beans with whiskey, exclusive only in this location, pricey! But I think the price is worth it for the experience.”

“The concept for the menu is a unique trip along the Pan-American highway with stops at various Latin countries. Each dish and drink is thoughtful in its ingredients and presentation. The jicama salad was refreshing, but not at all plain. The pastel de choclo was a wonderful surprise of a warm dish. The frozen el arenal was seriously dangerous in how delicious it was, I can’t recommend it enough. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was perfect. We are so thrilled to have this gem in the neighborhood and can’t wait to see what they do in the future!”

“We had such a great birthday dinner! Food was really great and they give refills of the banchan and free rice which is a plus. They explain each dish as it comes out which is helpful for people new to korean food. Iris was very sweet and made my friend’s birthday extra special!”

“The service was excellent!! Starting with host. We thought we didn't have a reservation and she did her best to squeeze us in for an early dinner. We later realized that we had made reservations. The servers were great. Answered our questions and went above and beyond. The Chef came out greet us and ask how everything was.

Now the food...yum...we had olives, I thought I was in Italy, the burrata melts in your mouth. We had honeynut squash with pepitas and anchovies..to start and I think i would have them all again.

As for the pizzas..we tried the butternut squash, sausage, pepperoni, and funghi pizza. I had all but the funghi, I forgot to taste but it was a hit, as were all the pizzas. Can't wait to go back. They have a nice big, beautiful patio where they make pizzas as well.

Almost forgot, we had the Autumn Spice Panna Cotta and the Chocolate Pot de Créme, and both were so yummy and not too sweet, just the perfect amount of sweetness.”

The rice was flavorful, the tortilla was fresh and the best part was the agua de Mango. Will definitely have to stop in again and try other items on the menu.”

“I.am not from Chicago but I am literally planning my next trip so I can eat at this establishment again. One of the most perfect dinners I ever head. The atmosphere is upscale but not pretentious (ask for a table in the back room, which is incredibly warm. The first room with the bar is a bit colder lighting-wise. No need to dress up but if you want to you won't be out of place). We got the bucatini polanco (perfection) and the bavette wagyu which was top three best steaks I ever had. On top of that the service was flawless. We told our server (I wish I remembered her name as she was the nicest) that we were a bit late for our after-dinner plans (also because we had to wait 25 minutes for our table, which is the only negative note but it was a Saturday night and thecrestaurant was packed so it was understandable) and asked our server if she could speed up our dishes and everything came in record time (but still giving us time to enjoy each of them). The dolce de leche tiramisu is a must.”

“Really enjoyed this place. Ramen seemed priced fine for the amount you get, very flavorful. Nigiri was very fresh, buttery soft. It was more expensive but well worth it. Some of the specialty sushi dishes would be more doable with a group of people so can try a little of everything for a more reasonable price. Definitely would come again.”
