I have only been to the 240 one time. It's definitely a dive bar.Jess the bartender, however, was professional, personable, and pretty. You can't beat that combination. She made an old man feel welcome. Unfortunately, she only works one or two days per week on Mondays or Tuesdays.

This bar isn't reliable for anything except a bad experience. The operating hours and food availability is inconsistent. They don't play basic tunes for listening. The tvs are from the 90s. The bartenders can't make basic, common drinks. In addition there's no security to get drunk jerks out of a bar after harassing women. The bartenders need to be held accountable for overserving people who have signs of being inebriated. I will never return nor do I condone that you visit.

Here's yet another Albany Park dive bar. It's on Lawrence a few blocks from the Brown Line. 240 Lounge gets its name from the address, making this not difficult to find if you haven't been here yet. Bar has a few drink specials but not any food. Prices are cheap on most things. Basic a** bar. It has the basic beers and liquors. There's just the bottles and cans, nothing on tap. Just as well, because the place is kind of grimy. There won't be any gross taps. It's about $7 for a cocktail. Most people seem to stick to basic stuff like beer and whiskey. Even so, they can make fancier cocktails. They can even make a mojito. Good place for watching a game. It often has drink specials and events like game nights. There's no food usually but you can bring in some.

Great bar with excellent prices. Weekly karaokee right next to the Admiral Theatre. I def recommend if you want a nice place to grab a few pints in the area. Parking available and open til 2.
My Godbrother is the bartender most nights. Love him to death this bar has good food, drinks and good people.

This is a really chill bar with friendly service and I was surprised with how yummy my drink was. I was skeptical when they recommended their mojito as they seem more like a beer focused sports bar (they have flat screens and a pool table area), but damn! It was refreshing (fresh mint!) and not too sweet. Would definitely come back for another one especially when it's hot out.
