First time here and we didn't know you had to wait outside for your food. We waited over 45 min for 2 bagel sandwiches. Both were good but still not worth waiting that long. Annoying to see them taking all these DoorDash and Uber eats orders without prioritizing the customers at the storefront.

If you want TMJ or lock jaw come here!! I was very disappointed in their bagels. I have high expectations coming from NY when looking for bagels. But what I didn’t expect is to have old hard bagels?? I legit couldn’t eat thru it because my jaw started hurting from having to chew thru char. Just look at the pictures for what looks like the driest bagel on earth

I usually come to Bro Bagel everyday before work to grab breakfast and always have kind, fast service. The people that work there are very friendly and are always happy to help. It can get pretty busy on weekends-especially in the summer, but the wait time is usually pretty short considering how many orders they have! The bagels themselves are always fresh and taste great. I always get an everything toasted with chive and am never disappointed!

Waited over an hour for online order and received snark from employees when asking for eta. Asked to cancel said they couldn't. Ended up having to leave without any food or a refund. Management, please staff your establishment and learn how to manage volume.

50 minutes and counting for a simple pickup, and the staff refuses to cancel any orders. If you can avoid this place you’ll save a lot of time and

Brobagel. Figure it out! Something is wrong with your system when people are waiting 30-45 minutes for a bagel. The people physically ordering at the store are just sitting here watching massive online orders be the only thing going out. If you can't service both then stop taking online orders.

This place has the best bagel sandwiches in the city. Would highly recommend picking one up and walking around Wicker Park :)

Took FOREVER you have to wait outside. Don't understand how it takes 25 minutes to get out orders. Ridiculous. We had to leave and get our food refunded.

The bagels are good if you get just those but the sandwiches can be a bit disappointing especially for the price. Recommend just getting bagels.

Bagel was fine but the staff have a really hard time acting like human beings. Didn’t know the difference between their veggie cream cheese and their vegan cream cheese ??? Bruh

While bagels are good, staffing horrific. Opening 20 minutes late. Waiting and w we sitting and no way to preorder they don’t answer phone. Mismanaged.

Between 4 and 5 stars, but so many negative reviews so I am rounding up today. I really like these bagels because 1. They are crunchy on the outside and soft with some chew on the inside (I don't like the inside too soft or with an overly regular crumb); 2. The covered bagels are generously covered on both sides (I like the savory bagel flavors but don't like that the bottom usually is lacking in the seasonings, not a problem at this shop!); 3. They are ok priced (there are cheaper and definitely more expensive bagels in the neighborhood). My biggest bagel rule is that I should feel no need to toast it the first day, and this is the only Chicago bagel that currently fulfills this rule. The reviews for Brobagel here make me wonder if I don't know what a true NYC bagel is despite having eaten them many times when there. My impression is that they should have a harder crust but be soft on the inside. Thus far, of the 3 other local bagels I've had, all the other ones have crusts that are too soft, leading to a lack of contrasting textures between outside and inside...and requiring a toast on day 1. For Brobagels, I don't toast on day 1 and can get them back to day 1 texture by toasting them whole (uncut) in the toaster oven on days 2-3. One gripe, online menu does not reflect current bagel flavor availability. I would love to preorder my half dozen bagels and just pick them up, but I have to wait in line and order on-site to get the exact flavors I want. I sort of get this because I am unclear what would happen if they were out of any flavor I picked online.
