Gibsons is one of my Favorite restaurants in the World! Going back on Sunday!! Gibsons on Rush:)). The Food. Kindness, and Atmospher! The Best! Please don't change a thing:))!!
Gibsons Italia was the perfect spot to visit on the Chicago River with beautiful skyscrapers to view. Thank you to our wonderful server BRANDON who did an outstanding job and to all the staff who greeted us with a happy anniversary nod! It was nicely unexpected. The desserts were delightful too! I liked the server's phrase “ it's bubbly season” as he served my Aperol Spritz!
My boyfriend & I love Gibsons Italia and rave about it to everyone! We booked for his birthday and even requested our favorite server who is awesome! We arrived and previous tables were running over so our 7:45 reservation but pushed back a bit. Since they were already running late we told the host we would wait a bit longer if there was a chance we could be seated with our fave waiter. 7:45 reservation turned into 8:50. Totally understand they can't rush other patrons out but it just felt like we didn't get the same level of service that we are used to and love about gibsons italia. Food and ambiance were good as always - quality of meat was just not as good as normal (likely bc it was nearing the end of the night).
Fabulous food. Professional service. Every table has a view of the Chicago River. You cannot go wrong at this restaurant! The bar area is quite noisy, but the restaurant level is more subdued. Lovely space and staff.

Steak had very little flavor and was prepared incorrectly. Asked for medium rare and received barely book steak. It was too chewy to even eat. Sides were all fine as well. Definitely not worth the price.
Best meal we've eaten in years, with superb European service. Recommend the charred octopus and Wagyu steaks. Were provided compensation via an appy for having to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time. Will be back when we visit Chicago again.

Move over Chicago Cut. You have always been a "CUT" above. Being closed on Sunday did it for me. We keep the biblical sabbath which is on Saturday, thus we don't buy or sell.

The food was spectacular. My only disappointment was the size of my sea bass. It was about a 2-3 oz piece and very thin. Not like the usual size of sea bass at other restaurants. I enjoyed every bite though.

I went here last week Friday on a date. We were on time for our 9pm reservation. We were told there was a short wait for our table so we had drinks at the bar. The bar was nice, the drinks were great. I didn't know that there were two levels, 2nd floor bar and 3rd floor dining area. After a couple drinks, we were seated at a table on the 2nd floor, near the very loud bar, but we said we wanted a table with the great city views, which are to be had on the 3rd floor. We said so, twice, and they said there was an event or something on the 3rd floor but would see what they could do. Nothing happened and we were seated on the very loud 2nd floor. Very disappointing. Our waiter was a great guy, not his fault, and the food was really good. So, if you go, make sure they seat you on the 3rd floor for dinner. That's where the great views are. Other than that, it seemed like a decent place.
1st time but certainly not our last. Excellent food, amazing view of the city. Our waiter Brandon did an amazing job with information and service as with the other staff. What an enjoyable evening for us.

Food and drink are excellent. Service is impeccable. Be prepared to drop serious money. However, the bushes lining the windows need to be trimmed or eliminated/replaced. They obstruct the stunning view of the river, which is one of this restaurant's greatest attractions.
Went for a fantastic lunch. Johnny was a great waiter. We celebrated two birthdays with good friends. Waiter was great at balancing service and personal time at the table. All food was perfectly on time and delicious. Great recommendations if you need them from the staff (although not a bad item on the menu). Great views of the city. Always one of my favorite restaurants in the city. You can never go wrong here

The steak was delicious; however our service fell short for the amount of money spent. The waiter did not give recommendations when asked, forgot a drink order, and forgot to box some of our food to take home. The vibe gave more business than a fun date night. I thought it was over hyped for the quality of service and money spent.
