Everything I ate at Taste 222 was delicious, the fire cracker shrimp and the Mac & cheese were my favorite for the starters. I also had the Ten To One Daiquiri which was delicious, a great balance of alcohol and fruity flavor. I also had the cat fish which was perfectly seasoned. I had amazing service, my waitress was amazing and I love the relaxing atmosphere it was the perfect way to unwind and mentally prepare myself
We went to experience the Chicago Black Restaurant Week 3 course menu. We were greeted with enthusiasm as we entered. We were seated where we could observe everything as it happened; food preparation, drinks being prepared and other patrons. Our waitress, Jamilla, was friendly and attentive. As each course was placed at our table, it was pleasing to the eye AND palate! We are considering hosting an event at Taste 222 in the future.

Taste 222 is your go to happy hour spot! Everything on the menu is so good and the portions are a nice size ! The atmosphere and service was a 10/10. Everything is super affordable, and the vibe is super low key if that’s what you’re looking for! Highly recommend trying this spot out !
