Great food and service. I was in town at the Royal Sonesta Hotel and where the restaurant is located. I love this hotel and staff but never ate at the small bistro. Hoyts menu for brunch was thorough with solid options. I ordered the short rib skillet with eggs and hash. My sister ordered granola pancakes. All of it was well done and flavorful. The waiter also offered suggestions on things to do around town if you weren't from the area. Pricing is reasonable and seating was fast. Did I mention this entire boutique hotel and staff are amazing and has great views of the Chicago River/River North? It really is a hidden gem, but don't tell anyone!

Hoyt’s is accessible from The Royal Sonesto Chicago hotel. It’s a nice quaint spot you could have breakfast, lunch or dinner without breaking bank. I love the variety of choices that were available for breakfast every morning. The food is reflective of high quality when one taste the Apple chicken sausage, perfect thick bacon, bagels, hash-browns and eggs to order. All in all, simplicity made special. 10/10It’s worth a try

My husband and I went to Hoyt’s for breakfast, and the food was outstanding! I had the Peach Crisp Waffle and a side of hash browns. Both were delectable! Our server Juan was very attended and took good care of us.

I ordered the overnight oats. It smelled and tasted horrible, like vinegar or spoiled milk. My colleague at the table agreed. I immediately sent it back and requested a refund. I was assured that the charge would be reversed; however, one month later, the charge still has not been reversed, and I have not been able to reach the restaurant despite leaving numerous voicemails.

Went for new happy hour menu and a few drinks. Paul the bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.Would go back to hang out with him again. Tuna taco had a nice crunchy wonton shell and cool crisp Jicama slaw.Shrimp cocktail was ceviche style and I am a sucker for saltines with shrimp. The wings are worth a trip out and will be back for them.

Hoyt’s at the Royal Sonesta specializes in American cuisine and adds their own flavorful twists to classic dishes. The location is right in the heart of downtown off Wacker & Wabash making it a great place to stop in if you’re exploring the city, going to a show at the Chicago Theatre, a workday lunch, etc. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner in their cozy indoor dining room, and even have a great patio to take in the city ambiance. We really enjoyed their tasty selection of appetizers and seasonal cocktails, all of which were unique and delicious. The bacon jam on the burger was a sure highlight, as well as the harissa rub on the salmon!SNACKSCrisp Haricot Vert: ginger & soy yogurt, chili oil, cashews, mint, scallionRoasted Mushroom & Gouda Flatbread: mozzarella, chili crunchCharred Scallion Whipped Feta: lemon, honey crystals, naanSALADSBerries & Balsamic: carrot ribbons, honey granola, goat cheese, blueberry balsamicMAINSHarissa Spiced Salmon: red quinoa tabbouleh, red pepper relish, pomegranate molassesCowntess Burger: cheddar, bacon jam, house sauce, shredded lettuce, buttered bunDESSERTBrownie A La Mode: vanilla bean ice creamCOCKTAILSThe Hancock: Dewars blended scotch, lemon, smoked pineapple, sage, orgeatThe Botanic Gardens: vodka, hibiscus tea, lemon, Tattersall Blueberry Liqueur

If we were staying at the hotel, this would be a perfect place to grab food if weather was bad. Service was good, half chicken was delicious and drinks were refreshing.

Hate giving bad reviews but this just wasn't worth the money. Too many great restaurants in the area. So do not waste your money on this one. We should have known better since there was never any people on the terrace but since we had a 20% off from our travel agency we tried it. I had the grilled salmon wich was good but the quinoa had so many raw onions that it overpowered the taste. Presentation was also terrible with 0 effort. My Mom had what was suppose Branzino but not sure what we got. It was so over done it was more like a fish jerky and on top they cut the filet in half. Presentation again 0. The waiter was not probably trained and sloppy. When we mentioned how bad the food was he just mentioned that they changed the menu 2 weeks ago and that we are not the first ones to complain about the fish. That says it all about the kitchen management. If you get multiple complaints about a dish you probably need to look into your chefs abilities and the quality of product. Such a shame as this would be a great location! They did take my moms fish off the bill. I hope kitchen management steps their game up. Ok

Popped in for lunch. Ordered the wings, a burger and the arugula salad with chicken. Our server, Jose, was attentive and nice. Food was solid. Wings had a dry rub on them. Burger reminded me of a mini mott burger with grilled onions on top. Will definitely be back to try the lobster roll and tuna tacos.

Not worth a penny. I came here around 9:30pm and was rushed into order because the kitchen closes in “5 minutes” 30 minutes later a large group came and still was able to order.I was rushed into ordering their worst dish “feta cheese and squash” which taste’s literally old and bad.I got a beer flight, the waiter was also the bartender somehow and also messed up my flight. All 3 beers were the same and he couldn’t tell what he poured and didn’t write on the board which is which. Not worth a dollar!
