The food was fantastic! The service was tremendous (incredible teamwork and passion)! The only issue I had was with the miserable little host/manager in the beige suit. One of the worst bedside manners I have ever seen from someone in the restaurant industry. He had a scowl on his face all night as he was walking around like a peacock. As my wife I were walking right past him on our way out, he wasn't going to say a word to us until I said, "Take care". At that point he responded, "Take care". ai guess I was expecting too much with a "Thank you".

Came for an early dinner before heading to the theater. Fantastic meal and very professional all around. Boneless ribeye was perfectly medium rare and seasoned exceptionally. Cocktail was also spot on. For a nice night out while in Chicago this was a perfect choice for my wife and I.

Costumer service was incredible. We were 20 mins late for our reservation and even though they were busy they still accommodate us. The food was ready super fast and everything we tried was delicious. Great amount of food and dessert was the best.

Ordered a medium rare steak, it came out undercooked and under-seasoned. Very disappointing

Our server, Abdul, was very dismissive and rude. We're Gold Coast locals and used to love Rosebud but our recent experience was so bad I doubt we'll ever return. Food was very mediocre.

We were surprised that there is a large area that is a bar area with tvs on sports. We went on a Sat night & asked for a quiet table & were seated in a bar. Noise level was very high. When we asked to move to a front seating area, we were told that it will be the same. The staff is friendly & accommodating.

My first time eating there for a friend's birthday dinner. It was a little cramped but overall the food was delicious.Parking: Make sure you get ready for expensive valet parking

Me and 2 others went to this steak house on the last day of our trip in Chicago at the recommendation of a family member claiming it to be the best steak they have ever had. Now, that may be the case for them, but it was far from that for us 3. We ordered two steaks and both came out at different levels of cooked when we asked for medium on both, one was very rare and one was medium rare, not a huge issue for me but the steak itself was burnt on the outside and not at all how it should look or taste, I'm sure the steak was seasoned well but unfortunately with the seasoning being burnt it was bland, other then the taste of the burnt seasoning. As well as the environment being more suited to a bar than a supposedly "upscale" steak house, not necessarily the establishments fault, but the environment didn't match the price, and neither did the steak, I hope to be able to try again next time I am in Chicago but I will not go out of my way, and I don't recommend anyone else does too.

I was excited to come and try this place as it was recommended to me. We went as a group of 3 and the moment we sat down our waiter treated us like we didn’t belong there. We dressed nicely and had high hopes going in. Steak wasn’t cooked how we asked and certainly is not sized correctly. Ordered a 20oz and a 16oz which was more like 16oz all together. All in all would not recommend coming here unless you want to overpay for mediocre food.

Went to dinner with my wife we had a 6:15 reservation. Started with a nice bottle of wine and meatballs to start. Meatballs we just mediocre and a bit dry. the wine was good but the sever had absolutely no idea how to pour. Every time he would refill the glass there would be wine all over the table. Extremely disappointing when you ordered $100 bottle of wine. For the main course my wife had the fish and it was pretty good. I had the bone in ribeye, which tasted dry very little flavor and what I could taste almost tasted like lighter fluid. For the dessert we order a piece of carrot cake and a piece of butter cake. Granted, we got them to go when we got back to our hotel room. They were absolutely horrible! Needless to say for two people with a bill of $360 I was extremely disappointed. There are way better steakhouses in the city. This was the first and last time we will ever eat at this particular restaurant. please note I did say something to the waiter regarding the flavor of the steak. He remarked in a way that was insulting and almost implied that I didn't know what good food taste like. Did culinary school in Paris and studied under chefs for over 10 years. I know what a piece of good beef should taste like . He himself may need to take a course on what properly prepared meat should be. Would recommend multiple other steakhouses before ever dining at this restaurant again.

I would not visit for a second time. The steak was tough and lacked flavor. We had to ask for herb butter. The mash potatoes were FLAVORLESS and dry. They also tasted as if they weren't washed properly before cooking them. The menu also could use more context. I found myself asking the waiter if certain key items were used in the cooking process. The drinks were great and the servers were attentive.

Our first time here and it was amazing!!!! We had meatballs for appetizers and they were perfusion! Bread was great as well! Our steak were good perfectly! We did expect the sides to be better, steakhouse mashed potatoes were bland and dry and macaroni wasn't that amazing. But service, majority of our food was great! We will Be back!

Rosebud steakhouse is an incredible neighborhood steakhouse with excellent Italian dishes. The ambience is speakeasy and service is impeccable. The steaks are as good as any in the city and the bar tenders make the best cocktails. We will definitely be back often.
