Wow! This place serves some seriously elegant Italian food. Pastas were on point! The Caesar salad might have been the best I’ve ever had. Nice wine list, very knowledgeable somm on site to give info on the wine too. Service was outstanding. We will be coming back for sure.

My experience with RPM Italian in Chicago, though anticipated with excitement, unfortunately, fell short of expectations, particularly regarding a Grubhub delivery. Initially promised a delivery window of 30 minutes, my order arrived over an hour later, setting a tone of disappointment that the meal itself unfortunately continued. The food, a selection that included Ricotta di Bufala, Carbonara, and Chicken Parmesan, was average at best, which was particularly noticeable given the premium pricing. The Ricotta di Bufala lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for, especially given its 25$ cost for 9 pasta. Similarly, the Carbonara failed to deliver on any rich, comforting essence one looks for in such a classic dish, tasting somewhat bland. The Chicken Parmesan, a dish that should be succulently juicy and flavorful, was dry.Having enjoyed Italian cuisine extensively, I regret to say that RPM Italian did not meet the expectations set by its reputation or price point. While I understand that delivery can sometimes affect the quality of food, the overall experience—from the delayed delivery to the underwhelming dishes—suggests there’s room for improvement in both service and culinary execution.

We typically eat at RPM steak, but we wanted to try out RPM Italian for our anniversary. The food and service were amazing. They made us feel welcomed, and it was a great evening. The bread with whipped ricotta and wild blossom honey was truly amazing!

The food was not worth the price. Way, way too much salt. Saltier than a fast food place (think Fazoli's or Olive Garden.) Garlic truffle bread, cavitalli goat cheese pasta, gorgonzola gnocchi, and even caesar salad was way too salty, and not interesting in any way. Service was okay, but not particularly notable. Our total bill was $160, and we won't be back - not even with a gift card.

I truly believe the hostesses here do not like a certain kind of woman, we were the only people there and for the second time in the last two visits they tried to seat us in the back next to the kitchen when there were several open tables that were so much better with the server we had, they moved us after we asked but 30 min later when the next guests arrived and then after not once did they try to sit anyone at that terrible table, this happened on Valentine's day as well, the hostess gave us a dirty look and sat us at the worst table there when there were only a few people dining, we asked to be moved and they did move us. I called a manager who assured me she would talk to them about why they're seating people at terrible tables when it's early and still empty, the group that did get seated at the table we moved from hated it, they were sad throughout dinner so we paid for their dinner. Last night I called and asked for a manager and the hostess was reluctant to put me through, she tried to give me the front door manager and it was a task to actually get an actual service manager on the phone, once I was able this manager was dismissive and made excuses as to why they sat us in the back at the worst booth facing the kitchen when we were the only ones in the dining room, I even told her if it's an algorithm then why didn't they sit anyone else there? The food is amazing, our server fabulous but they might want to hire a male host because some of the hostesses have terrible attitudes and I'm over dealing with it! We tip extremely well and order a lot every time we visit which is often, we eat at Bavette's once a week, armitage ale house once a week those hostesses are SO KIND and appreciative of our business they sit us at nice tables maybe RPM Italian should try to do the same! Some hostesses think they have power and you have to stop that because if they're doing it to me I guarantee they're doing it to others and they're comfortable with it and that is sad!
