My reservation was for 7:30. I happened to call earlier in the day and asked, "if I came in at 7 would that be okay?" "Absolutely" I asked for directions to the parking deck and was ready for dinner. I didn't ask to change my reservation. I honestly asked out of respect about coming in earlier. Nope. They changed my reservation time to 7:00, marked me late at 7:22 and charged my credit card for the missed reservation. The hostess said she called me several times. If my reservation is in Chicago and I am traveling I have zero reason to answer a call from California. Apologies Wagyu of Chicago for not picking up calls from California but hilariously as I was driving to the restaurant so it took me a few minutes to call back. I called back twice while driving. No pick up. No option to speak with the restaurant. Also, this is how I learned they changed my reservation time because a 7:30 reservation would not garner calls beforehand. Was told the wait for a table was an hour even after being told my card was charged for a missed reservation. Which part makes sense? *yes. I will wait an hour for a table after the missed reservation credit card charge* Or *your reservation was changed on an attempt to ask about an earlier potential arrival time"

I can't rave enough about this place! The deal you get and the quality is amazing. We came in the evening for the $88 AYCE BBQ and it was the best decision ever. The vibe inside is romantic and almost a little sensual. The front desk staff were welcoming and our server was great! The menu is pretty extensive, featuring a great selection of Australian beef and Japanese A5 wagyu in addition to sushi and more. Our main focus was on the meats and sushi. We did a chef's choice which came with a variety of meats and then ordered additional cuts like the short rib, japanese a5 flank steak and more. The beef was juicy and tender and we were definitely on meat overload. They also provided accompaniments like lettuce, ssamjang (Korean soybean dipping sauce) and small side dishes like pickled cucumbers, seaweed salad, kimchi, and squid salad - great pairing with the bbq meat. The sushi was also fresh and for it being an AYCE option, it's pretty solid! My favorites included the Sashimi Platter and all of the nigiri options, specifically the Otoro nigiri. The wagyu tartare was good but not as exciting as the bone marrow! I'm definitely looking forward to the next time that i'll come in to enjoy another great meal!

This is a bougie hotpot concept that is well executed!! I came here with my gf and we had a great time. The ambience was decent and felt a little upscale and tacky at the same time (like a nice restaurant in China). The service was surprisingly quick and responsive and we usually didn't have to wait long to get someone's attention which is a surprised for an AYCE place. The food is what is worth writing home about. We didn't get the most expensive option but the cuts of beef they brought out were still great. Broth and sauces were also on point which made the whole experience super enjoyable. This is totally a place I will bring friends visiting from out of town to try out.

We did the Platinum level AYCE. It was worth it because they offer so much! This place offers a great variety of options, but I found it very overwhelming. The sushi menu is small. It is a hotpot/bbq restaurant so I can't expect them to have a normal sushi menu, but they offer the basics like tuna and salmon. I wish I didn't get the sukiyaki broth. I usually get sukiyaki broth when I go for Japanese hot pot but It was too sweet for me. Yes, sukiyaki is supposed to be sweet, but it was sweeter than what I usually have. I was impressed with their large menu of meat and seafood for the hotpot. As well as the appetizers. I wouldn't order the wagyu sandwiches. It reminded us of White Castle sandwiches haha. The interior is very nice. They have nice furniture, and fancy decor around the restaurant. They have a separate section for the bbq and another section for hot pot so I only saw the hot pot section. Service was great. Our waiter was attentive and was fast with the service. I do really want to come back and try the bbq. I would only come here for a special occasion because it is a lot of food and it's pricey! I think the $88 was worth for what they have to offer.

Amazing happy hour deal with the perfect upper class design, staff, and options you expect. Rating 10/10 | Cost $10 per happy hour round. Parked in the garage and walked to the Bar for happy hour drink and snacks. Staff are very polite, informed, and helpful. The inside is very chic and modern including the colors, music, and visual wall. For the deal you get a tall draft beer, an appetizer (value under $10) and a well shot (or sake) for $10 which even as someone who hates beer was a steal. The appetizers were all fresh and tasty, the beer was solid, and the sake was a nice touch. Highly recommend even just to burn some time before other plans. Look forward to trying their hotpot next time.

I enjoyed their lunch set for their hot pot. All of their dishes tasted really good and fresh. I enjoyed their service . For a hot pot place their sushi tuna & salmon was on point. The place looks really nice & and clean. I would give them 5 stars but their bar area was closed so we couldn't sit there

It was our second time and we went back because we loved how the wagyu beef tasted (closest to Japan Kobe Wagyu). To our surprise, Jimmy our server gave us the best experience we never imagined when we chose to get the Platinum level. He gave the best recommendation and it was definitely the best! I wish we had Jimmy during our first time though.. overall, food was still top tier, beef was incredibly delicious, seafood like sashimi and for boil were fresh and ambience is still posh and relaxing. We will definitely go back again and hope we get Jimmy! He deserves a raise for always prioritizing all our needs and checking us regularly.Parking: Park on the venue and get your ticket be validated by the restuarant. You will have a free parking for 2 hours. You have 90 minutes to eat unlimited so 30 minutes for walking.

A go-to for hotpot lovers in Chicago! I went for the $88 premium menu that came with all the wagyu beef they offered and seafood options. Beautiful presentation of the food with very generous portions. Staff were also very attentive and quick with service. Definitely recommend this and the X Pot location in Las Vegas!

This place is worth it. We selected the $78 per person hotpot and it was phenomenal.Food is definitely 5 ⭐, most of the items were very good, except the lobster. The quality of meat and seafood are very good for a AYCE place.Shout out to Paul who served us with patience and kindness. We love to come back just to see him again. We will definitely be back.

The interior of this place is nicely decorated, black and gold decor. We chose to go with the gold level AYCE for the grill. We first ordered the only 2 Japanese A5 options. The quality of these meats were not good. I've had them before at other places. Here, they were chewy (keep in mind, we did not overcook the meat). The first set of nigiri we ordered was amazing!!!!! It had fresh wasabi on top and gave us a little extra on side. We also ordered brisket and beef belly, which I didn't take a picture of. The brisket and the beef belly were more tender than the Japanese A-5 options. I understand we're on a time limit, but our server doesn't need to check in with us every 5-10minutes; I'm not exaggerating. It kind of interrupts the date night and the experience. We're the type of customers that will let you know if we need something. I appreciate the effort, but it was just too much.

We called in and asked for one table for 8 people. The lady who was on the phone kept saying we have to set two separate tables. We said we want to have all set together with our family and whenever you guys have big table just let us know. She didn’t let us talk and kept saying she will give us two separate tables. We didn’t force her to give us any table but to give us a time and availability for big table so that we can experience together .Please let someone else has common sense to talk to customers. We came here many times and suggested friends to come here but this kind of manner to talk to customer is unacceptable !

We ordered the 88usd package. It is fine when u eat a few, but when u started eating like 2nd or 3rd dishes… it gets oily and disgusting. They didn’t trim the oil off on the wagyu meat (pic8&9) it’s way too oily and fatty. It is unhealthy to devour that much fat in one meal.Beef tongue: The beef tongue is fine.Lobster: fine. I think it is actually better than the beef…nglScallop: total scam..(check pic10)Sashimi: the shrimp is not that fresh and kinda fishy, others r fine…Mochi: meh. It’s just ice-cream.We had to pay 18% on this meal. The tip was around 33usd… idk…but heard this was Jackson want’s fav restaurant… I am speechless no comment lol?
