“The food and drinks were good, though the second round of drinks took a little while to get (they were never put in...however, in the staff's defense it felt like a busy night). Once the crowds started dying down we were helped by our waiter, who gave us great suggestions for what to try next.Food & drinks: Great place for good Whiskey drinks!“
“I've been having beers here for a couple of weeks now. This place is outstanding for their food, beer selection, and amazing service. The staff is highly knowledgeable and kind. Please stop by and have a lovely time here!P.S. Their Grilled Cesar Chicken sandwich is AMAZING! ?I'd say my favorite beer is the Reissdorf Kölsch :)“
“We loved our experience at Giant! We’ve been wanting to eat here for a while and thought what better time than to go out for my birthday. My wife and I can’t say enough great things about the food, our server Bailey and the whole experience. Bailey was the best server ever! We love her and will definitely be back.“
“Stopped by on a Friday night. Wait time was about an hour which isn’t too bad (can’t make reservations in advance). The burgers are *to die for* and come with a large helping on fries on the side. The other entrees and sides looked great too. Absolute must-try in Chicago.“
“First time visit to this Chicago landmark. It did not disappoint. Amazing atmosphere where a lifetime collection of enameled beer memorabilia in an old brick building. Great beer selection of Belgian beers and craft beer and an equally impressive menu. Friendly and attentive staff gives it a neighborhood feel that you just want to go back to again and again. Can't wait for my next trip to Chicago.“
“Territory Kitchen is a hidden gem of really chill and intimate restaurants in Lincoln Square. I love Chris and Vittorio’s dynamic and vibe makes it really feel like the neighborhood spot you can be a regular at. The food an awesome blend of Italian and German food, from perfectly cooked pastas to savory sandwiches and shoestring fries! The food is what brings me in, but it is definitely the chefs’ energy that brings me back!Vegetarian options: They are very accommodating to edit dishes for vegetarians. And make recommendations too!Kid-friendliness: I always come with with my friend and their family, they are so welcoming and fun with the kids. I also love seeing one of the chef’s young son helping out. One time he played our waiter it was so cute!“
“From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and Darren, our server paid such great attention to us. We were celebrating our anniversary and were greeted by her with two glasses of sparkling wine. Carrots and mussels were outstanding, both of which she recommended to us. We had mushroom rotolo and lamb ribs. Also delicious. Our evening was.terrific. We had not been back for.a.long time but will visit again much sooner now. Thanks for a perfect way to celebrate.“
“Decided to go out very last minute for my birthday & wanted to try something new. I’ve heard nothing but great things about Nine Bar & couldn’t wait to check it out with my friends. This place exceeded my expectations, the drinks were phenomenal, music was great, service was amazing! On top of that, security made sure not to have the place super packed so they limit the amount of people coming in. Just the atmosphere alone was so good, you didn’t feel like you were in Chicago. I had a few friends who weren’t drinking and they brought over a great selection of Mocktails. Overall if you are looking for a great time & something different this is the place. They know exactly what they’re doing & provide great service which is all you can ask for.“
“This place has been a favorite for years and it doesn't disappoint. Growing up in the UK, I can honestly say that the stuff here is pretty authentic. Make reservations in advance, this place is rightfully busy. Personal favorites are the fish and chips (served in "newspaper" like in the UK) and the chips and curry where the curry is the closest to the English curry you get in the pubs in Blightly. There are other must try's on the menu like the big wedge of triple cream cheese, and their burgers are good too. Service is excellent with wait staff who really try to accommodate you. Seating is a little cosy but not uncomfortable and the place has a nice English/Irish pub feel to it.“
“i absolutely loved dining here. the cosy moodiness, the partially open kitchen, record player tunes, knowledgeable and attentive staff, delicious duck.did i mention the delicious duck? and every dish we had ..even the popcorny dessert was uniquely inviting. beautiful fun find and definitely worth your time.“
“Easily the best dive bar in Avondale. Their food is incredible, (get the fried pickles,) and very affordable. Very solid drink menu and the staff is super friendly. If you go for trivia, (which you should if you like bar trivia, this place was great,) make sure you get there at least 30 minutes early because it will fill up. Love this place“
“This place is awesome. Me and a friend went for bottom-less mimosas and let me tell you they do not disappoint. You know how sometimes you go to a bottom-less brunch and the server barely comes to refill your glass? Well this place does the opposite, before I was half done with the glass they would top me off. Such great service and the food was yummy too, I would suggest a little something sweet like hot honey or hot maple syrup on the chicken biscuit sandwich though. If you want a nice healthy day drinking sesh with a bestie highly recommend!“
“Great place and a great addition to the neighborhood. I’ve been here a few times now and enjoyed everything I’ve had. Great cocktails too. The couple that opened it are wonderful people. The staff and owners are super friendly and attentive.“
“Was here randomly on a Sunday because I knew the previous bar that was here and lemme tell ya this new spot is a huge improvement! Don’t hesitate definitely order the lobster corndogs soooo good and unique. Also don’t sleep on the mussels the butter sauce is so good. 2nd best mussels in the city in my opinion and they hook it up great portion. This place is a great addition to Wicker. Causal atmosphere with elevated food!“
“Stopping in on the whim we got lucky and found a gem. We googled somewhere to eat and this place poped up. Im glad it did. I tried the best lamb burger and fries ? and they are A1. I will be going back in the near future. And check out their “
“My husband and I went to Matisse for Restaurant Week. The specialty cocktails and food are very good, with generous portions of food. The service is the best I have experienced in a long time, with the pacing of the food coming out being just right. Water always quickly refilled, the minute you look around like you need something, your server (or other staffer) is asking how they can help. The atmosphere is definitely loud. It is a small space and the tables are close, but it has a wonderful vibe and we spoke to the folks at our neighboring tables at bit. Highly recommend!“
“A Culinary Adventure at ASH Gastropub: Where Industrial Rustic Meets Gastronomic Delight. ASH Gastropub is a hidden culinary gem that seamlessly blends an industrial rustic aesthetic with a lively atmosphere, making it a must-visit for those seeking a unique dining experience. The moment you step in, the undeniably charming decor grabs your attention. Exposed brick walls, metal accents, and an industrial vibe set the stage for an inviting and trendy ambiance. The vivacious atmosphere at ASH Gastropub is a delightful experience in itself. The open and airy space, coupled with a well-stocked bar, creates a lively vibe that is perfect for unwinding with friends or savoring a solo dining adventure. The industrial-chic aesthetic, combined with thoughtful design choices, fosters a welcoming environment that invites patrons to relax and enjoy their time. As a first-time visitor, I decided to venture into uncharted culinary territory and opted for the Cajun Broiled Shrimp served over handmade fettuccini with a creamy Alfredo sauce. Let me tell you, each bite was a revelation. The star of the plate, Each plump shrimp is delicately seasoned with a Cajun blend, offering a perfect balance of smokiness, heat, and savory spices. Accompanying the shrimp is a bed of handmade fettuccini that elevates the dish to another level. The pasta, cooked to a flawless al dente, possesses a tender yet satisfying bite. Its handmade nature adds a rustic touch, emphasizing the commitment to quality and craftsmanship in the kitchen. Completing the ensemble is the creamy Alfredo sauce that blankets the shrimp and fettuccini. Its velvety texture serves as a perfect canvas to carry the bold Cajun flavors while adding a comforting and indulgent element to the dish. As you savor each mouthful, the combination of the Cajun-spiced shrimp, handmade fettuccini, and creamy Alfredo sauce creates a harmonious burst of flavors. The dish is a celebration of contrasts – the heat from the Cajun seasoning, the creaminess of the sauce, and the perfect bite of the pasta come together in a culinary crescendo that leaves a lasting impression. Having discovered ASH Gastropub, I am ecstatic to have found a new culinary haven to return to. It's more than just a place to dine; it's a hidden gem where industrial chic meets gastronomic excellence and I am eager to explore more of the menu on future visits. ASH Gastropub has certainly earned its place as a true hidden gem, and I look forward to many more delightful experiences at this unique establishment.“
“Visited here around 1:00 in the afternoon with 2 other people and the food was pretty good, but the service was not so great. They should have a sign saying to seat yourself because no one was available to direct us and another patron told us to seat ourself. Although the server was nice, she was pretty much absent the entire time. We had ask for the table to be wiped twice which took a while and after receiving our appetizers, we had to wait for her to come back again to ask for silverware. We had to ask another server to get our waitress because she wasn't around. After asking for our bill, it took her a while to come back for the payment and then we had to question her as to why a gratuity charge was on our bill when it shouldn't have been added until after 4pm for a party of 6 or more (only 3 of us present).“
“My first visit there. Saw promo on TV. However, I was not aware that there was a cover charge. I assume coverage for the live entertainment. I enjoyed both the Irish band music and the Trinity Children Dancers. The food was right on point! Authentic Irish corn beef/cabbage. It was a bit crowded and noisy, but that was to be expected--it was St. Patrick's Day!“
“Pleasantly surprised by this place located on Bryn Mawr between Kedzie and Kimball. The initial impression was that the prices on the menu seemed a bit high given its location. And some dishes like hummus plate, which consisted of cut up carrots and cucumber with pita bread and a large spoonful of hummus, was not worthwhile at $14. Same goes for a bowl of Irish cabbage soup for $10. Having said, other items like chicken wings and burgers were quite delicious and were worth paying little more for them. Given their great beer selection and wonderful cocktails, it is worth a visit.“
“Mordecai (chicago) (Illinois) has some wow ! banger! cocktails with even wower and bangerer service. I was served by a wonderful what's her name who showed me not only amazing tails of cocks but also vintage glass squirrel rabbits. Definetly go if you want to escape the general sweaty arm pit energy of wringlyville andTo Try some?⭐fine dining⭐?. Would reccomend the mussel dish and the new blueberry cocktail drink for no other reason than they are hmmmmmmmmm ?tasty?also ambiance/interior design are *chef's kiss* (youth lingo translation: well done)“
“The Cauldron was one of the bars I was really intrigued to visit. It has such a unique concept and I loved how there wasn't anything like it back home. We didn't make a reservation due to the $20 fee online to make one and good thing we didn't! We were able to walk in and snag a table and enjoy our night, no charge added. We ordered the Phoenix Feather and loved how it tasted! We had a deck of cards so we played a couple games and enjoyed our drink of the night. We also had the Chicago City Pass so everything came out to only $8! Such a steal! You can also do a mixing class in a separate room which we wanted to do but it didn't work with our itinerary. So make sure to also check that out!“
“SO GOOD!This chicken dish is so delicious, the sauce, the fried onions, and the last layer ( I don’t know the name but very good). But they are clearly need more servers, and the chicken wasn’t cooked throughly in the most center. They discount me, although I added it to my server.??Overall, I loved it. Impressed by how a restaurant in hotel can do so great!“
“Really enjoyed the atmosphere and folks at Slightly Toasted. Lots of choices for appetizers and food. The Beef sandwich was phenomenal. What was really special about Slightly Toasted is their bourbon and Whiskey collection. I had a 23 Year old Pappy, and a 2021 George T. Stagg. Oh my. Staggeringly good. Whether you're just catching up with friends and coworkers, or things more serious, this is a great place to experience.“
“You will be happy you chose to eat at Burger Antics! I had the Midland burger. The caramelized onions, Dijon mustard, and pickles were so delicious. The fries are crispy and fresh. Cocktails are delicious and balanced. And if you have room for dessert, the carrot cake has the texture of a brownie with perfect cream cheese frosting. Service is fantastic!“
“On this night we chose Legno for dinner and what a great choice! We have been to Legno’s numerous times before, it’s just right we review as one of my faves. The place is beautifully done, with dark woods and a warm decor. They have a very well stocked bar, great menu, a private event room and even their own microbrewery. As we walked in, we immediately heard the local artist singing some lovely tunes. It was so nice to be serenaded while enjoying a beautiful meal. The food was amazing as usual. Fresh and tasty high quality ingredients made every meal smooth and delightful. We ordered the Chicken Parm, Legno Mac n Cheese and the Barbecue ribs. The Chicken as well balanced and moist. The Mac was plentiful and full of flavor. The ribs were a full slab, ball off the bone and delicious. It came with home made potatoes fries. Simply delicious!I ordered a Flying Dog Gonzo to pair it all and chased that with some shared Crème Brûlée since we were full from the meal.Over all, we had a great meal, with a great serenade at a beautiful place.Highly recommend it and if you want music, come by on a Friday.See you here!“
“As a local, I frequent this restaurant often due to their awesome food, great service, and quality ambiance. Tonight they hosted a group of 30+ friends of mine for a 30th birthday party and all I can say is that they went above and beyond. The food was incredible and the staff, especially Amela, was outstanding. I truly can't recommend this place enough.“
“Commonwealth is a really fun place to watch sports. They have TV's in every direction. Matt was very gracious to us and made sure we had a great experience. Our waitress was top notch as well. Will definitely go back and highly recommend checking it out. They have a pretty good beer selection and the food was very tasty.“
“The food is so good good drinks but the food is kind of expensive. $16 for some truffle fries they are wrapped in a cup fried hard. Their good but $16 come on man. Then 3 chicken tacos $17 the first time I ordered this was on a Thursday I got 2 margaritas I was wondering why my bill was so darn high . When I ordered food this Thursday I found out. I ordered pasta this Thursday that was almost $30 like I said the food is great shout-out to the cook. The venue is gorgeous from the outside to the inside they remodeled it's beautiful. I been coming here for years when it was la Quinta go back to those prices ..“
“Can’t complain at all! Needed a quick bite before I hopped on my Amtrak, and the turkey wrap and fries were surprisingly filling! Tasted very good too. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Also was feeling a little fancy and tried the “smoke show” cocktail (which is normally not anything I’d ever order) and was pleasantly surprised at the unique flavor (it delivers what it promises). And the food came out VERY fast! It’s been hours now, I’m still on the train, and I’m still not hungry! So if you need something quick and sustainable, I’d say consider this one! For being a place we chose randomly, I’d say we struck it rich!“
“Gideon Welles stands as a beacon of exceptional hospitality and culinary delight. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction is unparalleled. Whether it's a friendly smile, a personalized recommendation, or anticipating your needs before you even realize them, the team at Gideon Welles sets the standard for outstanding service.“
“Went with a friend and my daughter last night for drinks and dinner and thoroughly enjoyed my visit! Our server was wonderful and was spot on with drink suggestions. We had the “Lost in Space” cocktail and the “Roast & Hearth” and both were perfectly balance and delicious! The bao buns were amazing, as well. Definitely will be going back and highly recommend!“
“This place is absolutely a must when going to events at the UC. Showed up there with a large party with no reservations and the GM assured us he would make it work. After waiting for 5 minutes , he had a table for us. Team was friendly, food was beyond fast and very delicious. Staff checked in us frequently despite being understaffed and very busy. On top of this great service , they offered a FREE shuttle to the UC and provided a generous discount on parking validation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“I had my 60th birthday party at Burke's. It was awesome! We had the party room and it worked great. We NEVER had to ask for food to be brought out as they kept up with it all and replenished as needed. We had a dedicated bartender who was great. The staff were constantly clearing plates and glasses through our 3 hours there. Such a great place and such great staff!“
“10/10 for our pickup dinner order made via toast. It was super easy to place my order & my notes were followed for how I wanted my burger made. Excellent portions & prices. The staff looked like they were working hard and enjoying the atmosphere. Definitely our new go to for ordering out nights!“
“I celebrated my birthday last night in this gorgeous place. I am glad to say that we enjoyed a sensational evening and the restaurant was evidently the reason for that successful celebration. The crew collaborated in a gorgeous manner, the cuisine was appetizing and my friends were extremely glad. We shall definitely visit again for more celebrations. Thank you very much.“
