Our group of 4 enjoyed a delightful birthday dinner at Porter's this evening. A tantalizing aroma greeted us upon entering the classically decorated dining room. Our server, Ms. Kilie, warmly welcomed us and gave us her knowledgeable insights regarding the menu and specialties of the evening. She graciously conveyed my medically necessary dietary restrictions to the chef and took the extra step of offering some off-menu options. The result was a delicious meal enjoyed with great friends, thanks to Kilie, and the considerate chef.

Great steak!! Service was fantastic! It was early for dinner so it was slow. A little pricey but worth it.

Food was good, but about $15 more than the steaks are priced on the website. Service was good, the ambiance left a lot to be desired, very outdated, about as noisy as a bowling alley also. Doubt I will be returning.

Steak was amazing, twice baked potato was dry. Bread was on the sweet side, but three different butters were great. Shrimp and scallops pasta was good, the seafood was cooked well, but the pasta was very large.

My husband and I were visiting his son for the weekend, and we decided to go out to dinner here. The restaurant is connected to a hotel, but it has its own entrance. For a Saturday night, we were seated right away, which was great. For the table to be a 4 seater, it felt a little tight, and it was only 3 of us. The decor was nice. Our waiter, who I believe was Chris, and he also was a teacher, was very nice and gave me a great recommendation for a drink, which was the lemon drop martini, and it was good. My husband and I had salmon with mushrooms orzo, and I dont like mushrooms, but it was really good, and the mash potatoes were very good as well. My stepson had a ribeye with fries, which he enjoyed. He also had the creme brulee cheesecake, which he said was really good.

Porters has been a yearly stop for more than 20 years for us and we've always enjoyed every experience. This visit was unfortunately not as notable. The service was less than desirable, one meal arrived cold and the noise the wait staffs shoes created on the floor was very annoying.

Everything was MID! Very underwhelming. Calamari was not that hot. Salads were fine. We ordered the steak medallions....medium. they came out very well done. Potato was fine. But not worth the price. We told the waitress. She was great. We got free desserts to compensate for the steaks. That was nice but I doubt we'll be back.

First time at the restaurant for Valentines Day. We were pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was perfect. The crab cakes are AMAZING(full of crab and not filler). I had the lobster bisque as well,it was ok(NO lobster bits were added, which made me question how they get the lobster flavor if no lobster is used). My entree was the pork chop. I NEVER order pork chops at restaurants, but let me tell you... the pork chop was amazing. Cooked to perfection, not dry with lots of flavor, and it's a double bone pork chop.We will definitely be back!

Has gone downhill fast. Receptionists are rude and on their phones. Definitely will not return, my money will be well spent somewhere else.

We went on a Sunday evening, was not busy at all. Our waiter didn't greet us until 15 minutes after being seated, another 15 for drinks (water and tea) and an hour for our food to come out. We ordered 2 filets- both medium, about halfway into filet they were cold and rare. Our waiter didn't return until it was time for the check and by that point we didn't want to send them back. We had to wait another 20 minutes to pay him. We spent over 2 hours there, $160 not including a tip and no alcoholic beverages.

I haven't been to Porters in several years. But previously when I went years back the food was excellent. The steaks were top notch in the past. My experience last night was not the same as previous. Our food was bland and cold. The servers were amazing but the food did not match.

Food was good , we had the escargot and calamari for appetizers, and for entrees we had the surf and turf , and the small ribeye. They do not cook steaks “blue”, but kind of understand. I'm sure being a higher end restaurant, other diners won't want to see another diner, whose plate looks like a crime scene. But I did get mine rare, and it was good. Hannah was our server, and she was amazing! Would certainly go again.

We were seated at a tiny table in the middle of a small room which was very awkward to have a romantic dinner. My steak came out in three very odd looking pieces, one seemed to be a roast type meat not pepperloin. My potato was undercooked and hard and I had to ask for a new one. Was definitely not worth the money we paid and we come frequently. Was a very disappointing visit.

While my entree was good, my salad before my entree never arrived. While this was made up by a complimentary dessert, it still was an oversight. However, when asked what were the choices, the stated selection was different than the table near us. When asked about the unmentioned option, again the server had to leave the table to confirm its availability. The staff member didn't know the vegetable of the day so had to leave the table to find out. The waitperson also had to leave the table an additional time because did not know what beers were available. The restaurant would benefit by having a drinks/wine/beer listing provided to the diner when they are seated and this would save time. Training issue maybe? We were not seated in the main part of the restaurant and our seating area was chilly.
