“I am from out of town and thought I would stop in for lunch. Honestly I have to say the Korean short ribs were the best that I have ever had. I’ve had them many many places in different states and by far theirs is the best. Very nice very friendly and I will be back a few times before I head back to Ohio. I wish I could take them with me.“

“The food was absolutely delicious and the service was wonderful. Very attentive and food came out very, very quick. Rishi was great! Definitely try the Gobi Manchurian! So good! Only giving 4 stars because we were disappointed to learn they were no longer doing in table bbq/cooking which we were all very excited for, but otherwise good food and good experience“

“This place is located inside gamechangers. My family came here for dinner and it did not disappoint. We had the taternador with pulled pork on top. The mac daddy mac and cheese also with pulled pork on top. We also had some amazingly delicious ribs. The ribs were so good. They had a little pull to them and were very meaty. My family and I can not wait to go back and try more stuff.“

“Real authentic Texas style bbq in IL? Who would of thought! Brisket was tender and flavorful, pork belly aka meat candy was so good! Finally a place who actually makes it and does it right. Tried the other bbq places around the Chicago area and while they are good; Matt’s Barbecue does it the true texas style way. Did I mention they have Texas Twinkies? If you don’t know what that is..stop reading this and go try it out at Matt’s Barbecue; They do not serve disappoint.“

“My daughters took me there for my 60th birthday today. Our wait was only 10 minutes. Our server was Ashley and she was phenomenal!! She kept bringing rolls, she got our appetizer and drinks very quickly and our steaks and burger were cooked to perfection!! 10+“

“I’m not big on reviews. I think I’ve given 3 or 4 reviews in my life. Place has to be one of the best BBQ joints out there. I actually hate brisket. Employee recommended it and said it was the most popular. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I loved it. Everything was fantastic to the spicy bbq sauce itself. Top notch. Highly recommend.“

“I’ve been getting barbecue from Louisiana’s for over 5 years. The food is amazing. Ribs aren’t tough it’s slow cooked. Momma says it’s “Memphis style Barbecue”. The sauce is perfect not spicy or sweet; it’s just on point! Best thing to do is make an order, they will not disappoint. “First time using The Shack for catering. It was a seamless process. GREAT food! Bob is wonderful. Pricing was reasonable. On time and food was hot at time of pick up. Can’t recommend them enough for your next event! We’ll definitely be using The Shack again!“

“Absolutely amazing, we do not go to many bars in the area but we specifically go to see Ashley. She remembers your drinks, she cares and she's super fun! The food is great! So happy they finally decided to get fries. The pizza egg rolls are questionable buttttttt most things are very good. ❤️❤️“

“Gave this place a whirl during my lunch before tuning 4 pianos at Crone Middle School. It exceeded my expectations so much that I came back after tuning those pianos which was 4.5 hours later and the cashier even recognized me which was a nice surprise. Customer service was great and the food was even better. I love that they have a few different sauces to experiment with the tasty food. The sassy, shark sauce and shark white and can’t forget there version of the Carolina sauce. All of it was on point. I had the half chicken and a sausage link with a side of green beans, mashed potatoes and sweet mashed later on with the corn muffin. Everything was kosher and definitely will be back next week as there are more pianos to be tuned at different schools. Highly recommend this place!“

“First time there today and I must say they are delicious. I love the fact we ask for a sample of the sauce the guy up front said no problem went and washed his hands before touching the food. Older guy was washing down the grill I’m impressed cause I’ve seen people collect money then prepare food but I make them was their hands. I will be back only thing is tips are cut too big but next time I will ask for small cut.“

“I thought I had ribs before… I was confident that I have eaten ribs. Everything I’ve ever known about ribs was a lie. I just had a spiritual experience inside of an unsuspecting restaurant. I saw someone else say that these ribs were the best ribs they ever had in their life and I was like “yeah, ok, loser. You probably haven’t been to Texas blah blah blah. There’s no way that the best ribs in his life came from a restaurant in a strip mall in shorewood. How wrong I was… you know that one part of the rib that is kind of tough? The stringy portion at the top which is usually overdone and nothing special? It doesn’t exist in these ribs. The entire this was seasoned to perfection. The only thing that made this experience even better as the service from the young lady in front and the owner Tony. As a chef of 13 years, I can confidently say that I have not had food that tasted like the person poured their heart and soul into every dish. Made with love is over used but in this case it is not. He is a Marine vet pumping out some of the best ribs, brisket, chicken and even BURGERS you will ever have the pleasure of coming across. Tony will let you sample whatever your heart desires and if you’re not walking out with a plate afterwards you must be broke. Tony even ended our meal letting us sample his cheesecake which was also just phenomenal. Tony your work is appreciated and you are exactly where you are supposed to be.“
