“I consider myself a connoisseur of pizza. And lately, my son and I have been on a mission to compare and rate deep dish (Chicago style) pizzas in Rockford and the Greater Chicago area. We ordered deep dish pepperoni and sausage pizza for pickup. We were not disappointed. The sauce was very fresh and sweet with tomato chunks in it. So delicious! And the price was very reasonable compared to others. Now our number 1!!! We will be back!!!”

“We have hosted multiple gatherings (up to 15 people, ranging in age from toddler to adult)and have always had a great experience. The menu offers something for everyone, from burgers to shrimp, and always delicious. Desserts are great, also. I would like to also mention the staff~ servers are always attentive and polite. We will continue to host gatherings there!”

“The second time to dine at John's and it is now our favorite restaurant in Rockford and possibly the whole world. Calamari was exquisite, best I've ever had. Seafood stuffed red snapper was phenomenal. My husband said that his pizza may very well be the best he's ever had. We are from Freeport, but we will be driving to Rockford just to eat at John's.”

“So the first time I was there was amazing, today I went in and asked what came in a wrap and Jolie the bartender who didn’t even say hi just slapped napkins on the bar as asked what she could get us, when asked what was in a certain wrap, said I don’t know I don’t sell those… I myself walked back by the bathroom to ask the cook what was in it. She was less than unpersonable and only cared about her phone that was “hidden” under the bar. We were a three top and had to ask for our check…….I work in the service industry and we left strictly because of her mood and service.”

“Shayna was a wonderful bartender and provided excellent service. This is a very friendly, cozy and low key bar with surprisingly excellent food! Their mango habanero bone in wings were EXCELLENT. Not too spicy but just the right amount of kick. The beef loaded nachos were great too! Thanks for the excellent service and a great impression on my first time there!”

“This a pretty solid taco bell. But CONSISTENTLY every time I order a stacker with steak, and rice around 5pm, I get about 1+ inch of empty tortilla on top of the item. Like come on. I'm already paying $0.90 cents for steak. And another $0.90 cents for the rice and sauce I but I get way less food than if I were to order beef instead. A manager must work around this time who's a real stickler on portions. But every other item is great and every time I go the workers are wonderful. The food is really good. That's my only complaint is all the empty tortilla I gotta bite through to get a bite with some food. Hope this can change in the future”
