“We have been blown away by the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. This is one of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever eaten at, and the quality rivals or surpasses the quality of Drunken Fish or Shogun. The sushi is delicious. The hibachi is delicious. It is great to see the old building they're located in getting used well.“

“My favorite food spot I've tried so far this year! Buzz's was SO GOOD. There are so many menu options and they all sound delicious. We went with a group of friends and tried a variety of menu items and loved everything. Even the aesthetics of each plate was good. You order at the front and they bring your food out to you. There's also a sauce station and a bunch of desserts, small dishes, and jams displayed at the front. The owner let us know that you can bring in pictures of your trip to Hawaii and hang it on the wall. There's a back patio area with some chairs, tables, and fire pits. The front has some benches that are shared between the restaurant and the bar next door. They're also conjoined inside as well. Parking is street parking. It's located at a pretty quiet corner of Magnolia. Will definitely be back for more food!!“

“My wife and I have followed Sando Shack for a while on social as they got ready to open their brick-and-mortar. We had high expectations. Yall did not disappoint. The location is great. It's in an awesome little spot in Tower Grove Park, and they did an amazing job with the build-out of the shop. The food is something I was very excited about. Asian Sandwiches are extremely under-represented in the St Louis area (except the Banh Mi lol). There's so much from the Japanese culture alone that doesn't get its moment to shine. Most Americans know Sushi and Ramen, but the street food culture in Asia is the best in the world. I knew going in this would be delicious, but I wasn't prepared for its balance. I got the Sweet and Spicy Sando which was a perfect balance of spice to sweetness. Neither flavor dominated the other. There was a perfect union that was enhanced by the acidity of the slaw. It was reminiscent of Nashville Hot Chicken but was still so different. The toast of the bread, the crispiness of the Chicken, and the perfect balance that the slaw provided was out of bounds. Now, most places throw some mediocre fries in the box and call it a day. These were not that. They had a perfect crisp and paired with the curry seasoning, tasted great. Now the chances of someone reading this far into my review are slim. However, if you are reading this stop what you are doing right now and go and order Sando Shack. You can thank me later.“

“Born and raised in Miami and this is the best tasting, most authentic food in the STL area. Catered for an event at Scott AFB - service was exceptional, food was amazing, and received tons of compliments on everything. A must for any foodie craving a taste of Havana!“
