“I was pleasantly surprised to find a truck-stop with a Taco Bell! Usually there’s the less desirable option. This location has it figured out. I was impressed with how friendly the staff was, how clean the dining area was, and how good the food was. (You know it can hit and miss) The quality and attention to detail came through on this visit and did not go unnoticed.Kid-friendliness: There were multiple families dining at the same time I was there.Parking: One of the better Pilot stations. They had tractor parking and tractor trailer parking with a lot of room to improvise on crowded nights.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking right out the front door and flat ground for easy entry.“
“Terror Tacos has been in my radar for a while and we finally went last night! I didn't know it was as small as it is. There were four of us and when we got there we ended up having to sit at the high top communal table because that's all that was available. I don't like high top tables, but it was better than nothing. You can order at the counter or via QR at your table. My husband ordered our food and said the process was annoying, as did our friends. It's dark in there! People were using their phone flashlights to read the menu. And the music was loud so everyone was talking over it and it was a lot. After we ordered our food, a four top table opened up and we moved there. The cocktails came out after a little while. The food took much longer - maybe about an hour. There were people coming in for carry out orders. So even when it didn't seem there were many people in there after a while, they still had to go orders sprinkled in there. The food menu had peppers next to the menu items. The bigger the piece of pepper, the spicier. Another diner explained that to us. The tacos are a decent size. Two were plenty for me. If I were really hungry, I would maybe be able to eat two and a half. The tacos and the drinks were really good! I'd definitely go back!“
“Listen people! This place is the real deal and authentic. I have for the first time in my 7 years living here in STL since I moved from California not been able to find home away from home. My heart was filled with joy and appreciation today. The flavors and taste were AMAZING. Thank you!“
“This rock and roll themed taco joint is a hidden gem on the hill - right at Kingshighway & Shaw. The tacos are creatively named and delicious. A long bar serves up great Paloma’s and the entire menu! Get here and meet owners Wil and Becca!“
“We had such a great experience at BLT’s! The loaded chicken and biscuits were amazing. The chorizo and egg taco was to die for! The chicken and waffles were on point too— if you’re into that! We washed it all down with tasty mimosas and a Bloody Mary. Corey (unsure of spelling) took care of us the whole time while we were seated at the bar and made our time so fun! 10/10 recommend for a top notch brunch experience.“
“Dined here for the first time last night. Salsa was delish, margaritas was fantastic (got the Mezcal. They were out of tajin, but it was still excellent with salt). Enjoyed the tacos and the street corn. 10 out of 10! Looking forward to dining here again.“
“My wife and I made reservations to have our anniversary dinner at Sister Cities and my god it did not disappoint. I asked our server about a blackened catfish po boy (which is not on the menu) and the chef came through! It was one of the single best pieces of fish I’ve ever had. Our meal was smoked wings, crab cakes, a catfish po boy and seafood gumbo. The flavors are on point and the spice is absolute perfection! Do make a reservation though if you are having dinner. A great meal takes extra care and time so be prepared to enjoy the atmosphere and have a couple of drinks while the food is lovingly prepared. The care and integrity put into the food is second to none. If you want a piece of frozen fried catfish slapped on a bun in 20 minutes, this isn’t for you. It’s an experience and event. Thank you guys for making our anniversary very special! We’ll make reservations again soon!“
“If you're looking for genuine Mexican cuisine that won't dent your budget, this is the place for you. The wait staff was friendly and provided helpful suggestions for the menu. I went for my favorite, the asada tacos, and they were truly delicious. The salsa was also noteworthy. I intend to return and explore more items on the menu. All in all, it was a fantastic experience.“
“This spot did not disappoint! The portions are nice and filling. The food is FRESH and FLAVORFUL! If you want authentic Jamaican / Caribbean Soul Food this is the spot. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed my food…sweet plantains, rice and peas, and the Caribbean Rice Bowl. Worth the $ and drive from U-City to Cherokee!! My recommendation if you’ve never tried is to check their social media to confirm they’re open before making the drive. I missed them last week due to a catering event.“
“Mission Taco Joint did not disappoint! My son and I were in from Chicago for a soccer tournament and decided to try it out. We started with the Carne Asada Steak Fries and OMG! The meat was cooked to perfection. We then picked out some tacos to share. I have to say these are some of the best tacos I have ever eaten. My absolute favorites were the Chicken BBQ and the BLT. These 2 are a must try. The sides We ordered were street corn and the cilantro lime rice and they were right up there with everything. The service was great too! Sangria...YUM. Check this place out if you're ever in MO. You'll be glad you did.“
“Excellent sandwiches and great service. I had the Muenster Melt, and it was simple but fantastically executed and constructed. The folks behind the counter were kind and our sandwiches came out quick. If you’re considering getting sandwiches for lunch, instead of throwing your money at one of the big corporate franchises, hit up Mound City for an affordable, high-quality experience. Places like these are too few nowadays, especially in STL.“
“The food greatly surpassed my expectations. Sometimes in a trendy restaurant, it’s like they put more effort into the vibe and atmosphere and they neglect the food part. Not the case here. The tacos were awesome, we got 4 different kinds and all 4 were unique flavor combinations and all delicious. Great first meal in St. Louis.“
“Stopped in for the first time in on a whim.I chose the horse shoe.Looked okay, tasted great ?.Had toasted ravioli with it that weren't over cooked. They were hot and crispy.Waitress kept an alarm on my empty glass of tea and even sent me home with a to-go tea.Service and food were both far better than I expected. I WILL be back!I'd definitely give them a try.“
“We had a large lunch event catered by Kalbi Taco Shack and I am so glad that we did. The price was extremely reasonable, the owner was extremely kind and helpful, and worked with us in a helpful, respectful, and timely manner, to provide VERY delicious, professionally presented, consistently boxed and well-made quality rice bowls with fresh ingredients at a very reasonable price. Everyone at our lunch event thought the food was delicious and wants to return to Kalbi Taco Shack on their own in the future. We will definitely consider Kalbi Taco Shack when we need events catered in the future. Everyone was respectful and went above and beyond to work with us for our event. They are a great business to work with and I would highly recommend either for a delicious meal at the Foundry, or for catering any event where you need delicious and beautiful rice bowls for your guests. “This place is always happening! Loud music but they still hear me just fine! In the gay district so lively fun group of customers! My daughter eats here every single week and I just started trying their food. She loves the Arroz Con Pollo and I found the Chicken Quesadilla that was delicious! We will be back! We always eat there late night. One of the few places serving savory food late night!“
“This is the best taco stand ever. I literally go to Cahokia mounds steps to have an excuse to stop here. I don't know if I'm hurting my weight lost or not but these street Tacos with the green sauce are divine. And I hate street tacos LOL.“
