“**TMI WARNING **Sushi on a conveyor belt. It is a hit or miss on different days. Unfortunately last time it was meh. The service was great. The food was good. It was the aftermath of the food. Both my husband and I had the bubble guts. Don't get me wrong it was good going in. But coming out was a different story.

Today it was late at night almost a hour till closing, I ordered my pizza and wings, and everything was great. I was just getting out of work and running late so I called ahead and asked if they could wait 10 minutes for me and they were very nice about it. The employees are great and deserve a raise!”

“Tldr; help a local business (Sugar and Rhyme in Elgin) thrive so I can always have amazing croissants I have discovered an absolute gem in Elgin. I have been missing out big time. If you haven't been to Sugar and Rhyme yet, and you love croissants, please go. Also I've only tried one latte, but I like it. So report back with your findings on that matter. I went to visit family in Europe back in like 2008. This place makes the best croissant I've had since then. Like, hands down. It's easily of equal quality. I can't get over it. And they make everything in house. Fresh. Daily. INCLUDING!!!!! all the coffee mixins. The only sad thing is that the store is really small, so you're probably not going to be able to find a seat. But you should still go. I want this place to absolutely thrive so I can have a steady supply of their croissants. Don't let me down, people. P.S. “Came for lunch. Very impressed. The katsu don was a nice generous portion with a very large pork cutlet at least half inch thick and done superbly. Not overcooked and tough or soggy as they can get .The oyakodon was similarly scrumptious. Staff pleasant but the server seemed to be working the kitchen also but attentive to us. In strip mall with other businesses. I could see the parking may get tight if all are busy.”

“OMG! How is no one talking about this place very good quality and price. I got here on national chicken sandwich day so they are charging 9.99 as a special price for combos but the regular price isn’t that bad at 12.99. Whatever the price it’s so worth it. The chicken is very crispy and tender juicy. I ate my meal and ordered more to go lol. They have many flavors and spices to choose from and it’s better than any other place I can remember going to.

She recommended the monthly special called “Moonstruck” and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The ambience, service and food is unmatched! If you are looking for a great night out I highly recommend Al’s Cafe!”

“Hidden on the busy corner of McLean blvd and Bowes rd. Is a pretty decent Thai restaurant. The decor is kind of basic, but the pad Thai and crab fried rice was very good. The rice had a nice fluff and perfectly done texture to it. The pad Thai noodles was cooked perfect, not soft and squishy like a lot of places.”

My only feedback is that I wish they allowed substitutes on the menu. It would be nice to have a bit more flexibility with the dishes.

I'm always reassured when a menu has labeled vegan items, so I figured this was a safe gamble. I got the eggplant garlic sauce and it was one of the best eggplant dishes I've ever had. The salt and pepper tofu wasn't what I was expecting, but it was also super delicious. The vegan pho was fine, but I'm not a big pho person to begin with. Plus, the portions are quite generous so I can nibble on it for a few days!”

“Is everything you want in a Chicago beef shack. The restaurant is clean and inviting with plenty of parking in the strip mall. I've had their beef before with catering and it's excellent, but this visit was the Chicago dog. It was perfect. Double dogs for a dollar. It's one of the better hot dogs in the area. The bun held up the entire time, even with two dogs and all the toppings. And it might sound silly, but the place has really good napkins. They are thick and stand up to the food that doesn't fall apart. Just saying. Don't miss Tuesdays with one dollar hot dogs. Definitely recommend. Also the fries and the combo are legit way better than portillos”

I drove around a few times because it was a pizza joint and couldn't see any signs of Mr beast burgers. I will be back but I hope Mr beast makes these adjustments.”
