“We arrived at this restaurant for dinner. we heard about this place from many people. Well, it was a winning. the staff were so friendly and we felt excellent. The meal was tasty. We loved this spot a lot and we shall definitely come back again. Highly recommended.“
“The ultimate Chicago experience. Portillo's gets it right all the time. Real charbroiled hamburger cooked right to achieve that maillard effect, topped with melty yellow cheese, fresh purple onions, tomato and lettuce or try the Chicago style hotdog with that distinctive lime green relish, sport peppers, onions mustard and Portillo seasoning in a poppy seed bun. Whatever you choose to eat at any of their Chicagoland locations, you can't go wrong. Also, the chocolate cake is velvety, moist, but not overly sweet.“
“If I could I would give 10 star instead of 5, thats how much I like this place. My daughters and I go here a few times a week. I absolutely love the food and the atmosphere/environment, it has a very cozy feel to it. The Staff here is so so so amazing that sometimes it feels too good to be true especially nowadays when people have become so rude and obnoxious especially since covid. I want to mention names of the people who are not only kind but polite and provide excellent customer service. Emily is one of the managers but what a great person, she definitely deserves her title, Nerlyn (not sure if I am spelling her name right) is also very very awesome. Couple other absolutely amazing people from the staff are Tina (one of the managers) and Adan.Love love love the place, service and atmosphere. Thank You guys for being so awesome always!!!“
“Last time I had sushi was well over 15 years ago. Times change, appetite, and eating habits change so here I am. My wife enjoys sushi and has been here a few times and enjoys their rolls. I do enjoy food in the teriyaki family and I get this fix at a few other restaurants in town. The interior of the restaurant is inviting and it was strange being back in the former Peapod restaurant location. We ordered the crab ragoon, gyoza, chicken teriyaki roll, scorpion roll, Godzilla roll, and the beef teriyaki entree. Both appetizers were good but pretty standard. I tried a few rolls and it's still not for me. I believe the seaweed wrap is what I don't like. The filling is good though. My wife enjoyed every bite of it. The beef teriyaki comes with salad, rice, and miso soup. I don't particularly like miso soup but this one was slightly different in a good way. I enjoyed the simple salad as well. Now when I ordered the beef I wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked which is not unusual. When I received the beef it was too blue in my opinion. I'll eat beef anyway outside of raw but typically I like my beef medium. The sauce and vegetables were good and I still ate the beef. For drinks I stuck with water but my wife had a mango smoothie that was quite tasty. The employees were attentive and definitely hustling so I appreciate that. I would go back and get the chicken teriyaki (hopefully it's not pink) and let my wife enjoy the sushi rolls. 4 stars because everyone I know that has come here for the sushi raves about it.“
