Typical diner establishment located off Lake Street in Elmhurst. Ordered the Denver omelet with pancakes. The omelets are oven baked so they come out a little dry on the outside. Pancakes were too bland and dry for my liking as well. Although the food was subpar, the staff was courteous and friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice since it has been recently renovated and has clean bathrooms. I'm not sure if I would go back given the amount of competition nearby such as Rainbow Cafe and/or Christopher's.

It's basically a little diner trying to be a trendy one, but failing. They're overpriced and the quality of the food is subpar. I ordered the Denver omelette, and received something comparable to that of a pie with huge chunk size pieces! They want to charge almost $4 for a tiny orange juice, when it is not even freshly squeezed. Please save your money and go elsewhere

Have not been here in a while. Restaurant is modern and updated. It looks to be a very popular place. I hade an asparagus omelet with a biscuit, and a side of crispy bacon. My husband had corn beef hash, with buttermilk pancakes, and 2 eggs sunny side up. The quantity of food was impressive and it was cooked perfectly. The only negative thing I can say is they did not bring the food at the same time so I sat there while the waitress made 3 trips. The food was still warm so no harm. When you leave they have a little kiosk to buy deserts to go. They also have a cute boutique shop you can browse around. It's just a homey, nice place to go. Their menu is massive, and a good variety. I'd say average price of entrée is $12 - $15. Staff is friendly.

It's the worst place I've ever been. I ordered an omelette and they gave me everything raw, that was disgusting, so I called the waitress to explain my problem, she agreed that my omelette was not well cooked, she took my plate and went to talk to the owner of the place, but the owner said that for her taste it was well cooked, by God the vegetables were raw which is ok but the egg was completely raw, she tried to argue that it was melted cheese but it was obvious that it was not! Of course, since she wasn't going to eat it, her owner's attitude was disastrous. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!! (unless you want to have a bad time with such poor quality of food and owner)

Very good overall. The omelet wasn't a traditional omelet but it is good. I like that the cheese caramelized on the ends of it. The english muffin was good. The pancakes to me smelled like pretzels at first, then I tasted them and they taste like pretzels still. It was very good. One of my favorite pancakes for sure. I definitely recommend coming to this place. I will definitely be returning. The menu is kind of small but that is ok.

We LOVE Our Kitchen! Our family has been going to Our Kitchen for over 30 years. The potato pancakes are the thinnest we have found in the area. Nice and crispy. We drive 30 minutes to eat here even though there are restaurants closer.

BUGS!! Do not eat here! Came here today for the first time and when we were first seated, I noticed my silverware was dirty with dried food on it. That was a foreshadowing of how our whole experience was about to go. I told the waitress and she did get me new silverware. She said that five other people today had dirty silverware and she didn’t know what was going on. I placed my order of a bacon and mushroom omelette and when it came out our waitress said that the cook messed up and added onions to it. The whole omelette was 50% onions and it was not very good. The worst part is while we were eating right next to my plate was BUGS crawling on the table. The waitress was no where to be found so when she finally came over, we showed her the bugs and she killed it with her bare hands. We moved tables, but honestly lost our appetite. She went on to serve other customers after killing the bugs with her bare hands and never washing them!!! With the dirty silverware, messed up food, and BUGS, she didnt offer any discount on the bill. I have no issue paying full price if things are right and CLEAN, but this was absurd. No manager in sight. The health department should probably come in and figure out what the issue is.

Restaurant was very accommodating to our party of six, two of whom were 15 minutes late. Our waitress was amazing! Everything we ordered came just as we wanted! Unfortunately, they did not have gravy for their biscuits, and their cheese selection was basically Monterey Jack or nothing. Denver omelette did come with cheddar cheese though. How omelettes there are very good. Had an awesome gift shop as well.

I had a few questions for our waitress, Kathy. She was not happy about it and was very short with me. I received eggs that were underdone, I asked for no runny whites. The sausages were burnt and toast was stale. It appeared to me that if you are a local you can get decent food and service, if not keep driving. I gave one star because it was very clean. Woman and I believe owner, was rude at check out asking about tipping. Not once did we get asked how the food was.

Very cozy. Immaculate. Well designed. The food? Wonderful!Essentially, they put a lot of care into giving you good food and making you feel special. The waitresses are kind and never let you run out of coffee. The plates and mugs are never chipped and are sleek. The silverware is unique. The food is excellent. The hash browns are literally cut up potatoes, with skins. Just wonderful. The bacon is so crispy and high quality with lots of flavor. The sausages are not your typical links but from some sort of deli. The pancakes are rich, fluffy, and you can dress them up all nice.Don’t miss this place! Oh, and your mom will love the little shop attached. Bring your mom to eat here.

Outstanding omelets. That's all I've ever had here because they are so good.I drive from southwest side of Chicago for them.Service is good, restaurant is clean. Only negative is coffee cups are small and they get cold to fast. But the coffee is good.

The decor of the place is nice. The food is overpriced and the service is pretty slow. They have a store, kind of like Cracker Barrel, but mostly with items targetting the older crowd. Side of bacon will run you $7.

Baked omelettes & pancakes were very good. The attached gift shop was nicely decorative and clever. will definitely come back again.

The food and service is good but I didn't appreciate the lady at the counter. She had the nerve to tell me how much to tip. And she had the audacity to get indignant about it. It seems to me that she held the stereotype that black folks don't tip. I had already left money on the table and had already planned to leave a little more for our server because she was good. When I told her this she didn't even apologize. I was somewhat upset but I let it go. And just to let you know, tips are optional. Don't get me wrong I believe in tipping when service is good but I refuse to give my money to a place that has somebody there that feels its appropriate to talk to customers any kind of way. Perhaps they should pay their servers a little bit more so they won't have to rely so much on tips. In any event I don't think I will be returning. And it's a shame because I did like this place.
