Classic old school deli, recommended by a coworker. Quaint and classic. Service is a bit on the slower side but that fine because care and consideration are being take. I kept it simple and quick and ordered the Brie BLT and it was well portioned and tasty. Generous helping of Brie and the baguette it was on was delicious and rustic. Very tasty. Love supporting a small local business too. Very convenient to Northwestern's campus and the Foster CTA.

Amazing food and staff that genuinely care about the quality. Open kitchen and friendly cooks. Love love love this place and the nice lady gave me sauerkraut to try. Lovely restaurant with very crispy to die for fries and hotdogs. Will def be back

I am a bit torn on this place as it was fine, but didn't really wow me. First of all, the pictures make it look way bigger than it actually is. This is a pretty small deli place with a couple of tables. I was going to eat there, but decided to take it to go. I was the only one in the store, but was quickly helped by two gentleman who were nice, but a bit hard to understand behind the masks and the general noise of the fridge cases. I somehow got tomatoes on my sandwich which I didn't ask for. Not a huge deal. The sandwich was good. I did the half sandwich, cup of soup deal which I thought was a good deal until I saw the size of my soup. Its truly a child's cup of soup. I actually really liked the taste of the soup, but was expecting more. I didn't see any of these famous cookies people were talking about which bummed me out. It was fine, but it seemed a bit disorganized and old. I guess thats good for character, but I am probably a one and done with the different options in Evanston. Glad to try it and support a small business though!

I’m so happy I just discovered this place! Best sandwiches in town, and they’re BIG! I’ve tried the roast beef croissant sandwich (the sauce was especially excellent!) and the smoked salmon with Brie on sourdough (salmon, cheese, and bread all fresh, high quality, and tasty). Atmosphere is also so cozy. Regular lunch staple for me now!!

Eaten at this place off and on since 05. Roast beef and blue cheese on the baguette was my favorite. You have to try the cookies and if you're lucky enough to be around during the fall, get a spice cookie if they still do those.
