Appreciated the gluten free option. service was very good. The restaurant was empty but we still had to wait 10min while they staggered seating and tables. Not our #1 chicago deep dish pizza place but it was fine.

This location has gone down hill significantly. The service is absolutely horrendous and my pizza sat in back until is was barley warm…it wasn’t cold, but cool enough where the cheese wasn’t melted any longer.It took over 27 minutes to be seated when the place was only about 1/3 full. I was here on business and dining alone. Maybe they just don’t like single customers. There were plenty of tables, but they just ignored that I was there. Eventually a party of five came in behind me and the staff immediately came and asked them how many…they pointed out that I was there before them. There was another person before me, also there as a single diner, he left after the first 15 minutes of being ignored. I guess as long as you’re two or more, they don’t ignore you, and if you are a business traveler, you can’t eat here. Sad, very sad.Not sure what the problem is with this place, but it certainly isn’t a good sign for their future.Updated 3/25. I was back in Chicago again, and decided that I needed to give it another shot. Maybe last time was just a bad night. Sadly, although a different set of issues, this is not a place I’ll go ever again. It has simply fallen into an abysmal experience. The wait staff was better, the pizza was under cooked and doughy. It wasn’t so bad that I couldn’t eat it, but, damn, Lou would not be happy serving this. Maybe dine in is over for this place and there is more emphasis on carry out and refrigerated pies. Dine here if ya like, don’t say you were not warned. You had two failures, different nights, different weeks.Go to Girodanos - better staff, better cooks, better pies.

There is absolutely no excuse for having to explain my simple order to someone over and over again only for them to still get it wrong. There's no professionalism, no care, and no real customer service at this location. I don't know how the people here have jobs. Avoid at all costs.

I've been here before. I remembered it being better. Maybe it was an off night. The waiter did his best but they were understaffed. Don't get the boneless wings. Fairly flavorless... wanted something because he said it would be a while before the pizza would be ready. Pizza was OK. Not great. Leftover pizza was better the next morning.
I visit Evanston on occasion because my daughter is a student there, but I always go to Lou Malnati's when I'm there. Their deep dish pizza is the best I've had anywhere. The service is always excellent.

When two college kids don't want the leftover pizza, you know it's not good. Maybe we just ordered the wrong item, but "The Lou" pizza was a bland disappointment and the Malnati salad was not good either. The service was fine, but the food and the atmosphere were absolutely uninspired.
