This is the best coffee shop in town. Every single employee here is friendly and amazing. The coffee is so good! I frequent this place as much as I can afford and each cup is worth every penny. I love that I can also buy jugs of cold brew and k-cups to enjoy my favorite blend at home. Amazing experience all around.

Philz in Evanston has a very roomy interior and a nice patio area. It’s built with more than average room between seating which offers a better sense of privacy while studying. The various food options are coffee shop yummy. But it’s also an ideal location to meet owing to its proximity to train stops.

Full disclosure: I'm a transplant from the Bay Area, so Phil'z has a very special place in my heart! So, I'm absolutely biased.THAT SAID,I LOVE COMING TO PHIL'Z!! ???The atmosphere is always wonderful here. Absolutely wonderful. It is both vibrant and calm, and I love that in a coffeehouse. There are couches and comfy chairs, as well as high tops, so there are wonderful ways to relax, if you can find a spot; they're often quite busy, so that may not always be possible but if it IS, absolutely stay and enjoy yerselves.The drinks are always delicious (get yer drinks "The House Way", they'll love you for it; they always smile as if yer "part of the club", cuz yer "in the know" if you do, but know yer drinks'll be creamy and sweet, so if that's not yer bag, don't bother. They'll still give you excellent service!), and the service is always excellent. Don't be put off by the kids in their Northwestern shirts, they're professional and friendly fer college students!Remember as well, to taste yer drink before you take it away; if there's anything wrong with it, they WILL fix it for you, and they'll do it without fuss! There is a little sign saying as much on the counter, believe it!They also have seasonal specials, so absolutely take advantage of multiple visits if you enjoy their fare; there'll always be sumthin new fer you ta try!The only drawback I'd say there is izzat their merch is NOT cheap; a hoodie'll setcha back nearly forty dollars! That said, I have one of their beanies and I love it, so....I s'pose if you have the disposable income, it'll be worth it fer you.Now go forth, and enjoy!!!

As a Palestinian, drinking their amazing herbal/spice infused coffee, seeing the unique designs, and being in a beautiful bright environment around my people more all helped me feel closer to home. unbearable, I'm editing my review and I noticed the only reviews that are responded to from the establishment are the great review and the 1 or 2 star reviews without a explanation for what is the experience with the reason for the dismally low review! when u get a low score and experience explanation why you ignore the response and defend the case where you actually have a reason why you got such a low score? I guess I don't have a lot of coffee and I'm going to say the coffee or concoction created for a huge cost, but I don't know why I was totally ignored by my specific instruction and the specific way I asked for the coffee was actually opposite or totally not implementing any care of my own personal wants.. it was burnt and totally not edible and the floor was very slippery for a cup must have spilled and nobody tends to clean it being disabled my godmother handicap almost fell. . it was overpriced and a treacherous experience..
