By far. By far. My favorite Jamaican food spot. The portions are big and every bite is so flavorful and delicious. The people there are kind and sweet and will remember you! Love this place and I get food from here every chance I get. Always satisfied and happy coming here.

Spice Restaurant is a fairly new Jaimaican restaurant in Evanston. This quaint place has outdoor seating in the front and is open for take out and catering.Indoor seats are for waiting for to go orders. The square footage inside is mostly forprep/cooking, registar area and case for beef patties.Parking: plenty of street parking near corner of Church and Dodge Avenues.I stopped in to place a to go lunch order of 2 beef patties.They were out of Ox tails, however I will order them next time I visit.I was hoping my receipt could be texted to me and not only a paper copy.

Ordered take out which turned out to be some of the worst I've had from any restaurant in Evanston. Three of the dishes I ordered consisted of pasty noodles that were completely broken up - as if they'd been scraped from the bottom of a pot where they'd been cooked way too long. If that wasn't enough, there was absolutely no seasoning. Everything was really astonishingly bad. I won't be ordering from this place again and would caution anyone who's considering this place to eat elsewhere.

No sit down so atmosphere is based on friendliness of staff and owner. Very good, home style Jamaican take out. Watch for bones - but remember that that is what makes the food delicious. Get the brown stew chicken!
It's a stand a deliver atmosphere as you can only order and carry out. The food is beyond good, and the owner, Jackie, is the sweetest person you will ever meet. I highly recommend this establishment, as it has the best Jamican food available!!!

The j*** chicken is exceptional! The chicken is very tender and she makes her own j*** sauce with tons of flavor and a little kick at the end. The plantains were sweet and had a rich flavor. She added a little oxtail broth to our rice and beans which took them over the top!The owner is incredibly sweet and uses a mix of her mothers and her own recipes! It’s some of the best Jamaican food we’ve ever had!FYI the shop is devoted to the kitchen and counter serve. There’s a single table outside or a nice park across the street!
