“The most incredible jerk skillet I’ve ever had! The shrimp and grits was also phenomenal. It required some patience to wait for our food but it was well worth it.Just so you know this is a real review, not everything in our order was perfect; we were fine with that. Please visit this restaurant so they stay in business! The food is amazing. Just give yourself extra time.“

Our waiter was adamant that we try the chili oil that sits at each dining area - it was delicious and only added to the texmex fusion feel of the menu. “Quick service, clean restaurant, good food. Ordered the dirty bird - fries with mac and chees, jalapenos, chopped chicken finger with habanero sauce and chipotle ranch. It was a rather large portion, made for great left overs. Would come again for lunch. Also had fresh brewed iced tea with some lemonade in it. It was pretty great.“

“Mmmm!!! SOOO GOOD!! My picture may not look like much but it's everything. I've traveled all through New Orleans and Louisiana having so many different bowls of gumbo I could be Creole by now. And amidst alllll those bowls Luella's still falls into the Top ranked perfection. I've also had their fried chicken and brunch items. Trust me when I say, everything is delicious. And don't get me started on the biscuits. The staff is also friendly and attentive. Grandmothers of this world have the best food on the planet. Whoever Luella is, she has superior cooking skills. “It's certainly nothing much to look at from the outside, and the interior isn't much to write home about, either. But for a Humboldt Park hole in the wall, the food is good, particularly the roast chicken, you get a lot of it, it's a decent price, the service is fast and the small place is cozy. It feels like real, pure, good Chicago. I was happy I stopped in.“

“This place is rare gem. They play their house music on a record player and have a great selection of vinyl. Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Rob took great care of us and was personable and attentive. They have a nice menu with a good mix of comfort food and some healthyish options as well. Their food is cooked in a small open air kitchen and it is well done and tasty. It is also reasonably priced as well. We had the brussel sprouts, the 3 piece chicken dinner that comes with greens and grits and one their burgers. Everything was awesome, like everything we ate. We will definitely be back to hang out in the evening for a drink and listen to some cool music with cool people.“

“I lucked up on this spot perusing Uber eats. Very good and I will surely be back to try more dishes. Packaging was phenomenal! Great amount of food for price. The salmon, collards, and Mac were definitely tasty. Not heavy, tasted fresh and made with love. The orange flavor with the salmon was different it was good...salmon skin crispy but delightfully melt in your mouth it was so tender. The dirty rice!! Yassssssss I'm in love! The banana pudding was different. I am still making my mind up about it while eating the majority of it lol. It taste like someone accidentally knocked over the cinnamon seasoning in it and was like hey now work wit it Lol! It's good but I gotta figure out this cinnamon thang going on.“
