Overall, good but there are so many Mexican options in the area to explore as well.“

“We were warmly greeted by Chelsea when we arrived. We were seated at a cozy table toward the back of the restaurant. Frank Sinatra music was playing in the background. Our waitress Melissa brought us water to the table with the days specials. There is a good wine & cocktail selection. We started with the shrimp & calamari along with truffle fries for an appetizer. The shrimp & calamari were cooked perfectly while seasoned with the right amount of oil and garlic. The truffle fries garlic aoli sauce was very good, not overpowering. For dinner, we had chicken parmesan served with penne pasta as the side. The portion size was big. The chicken was cooked well, not overloaded with sauce and the right amount of cheese. The other dish order was the risotto of the day, shrimp & grape tomato. Highly recommend the risotto. It was cooked perfectly with big delicious shrimp mixed in with the risotto. As delicious as it was, room was being saved for dessert. Not many restaurants serve flourless chocolate cake, but Frankie's 1988 does. It is served with a carmel sauce, pecans, and vanilla gelato. I have had many flourless chocolate cakes in my life, and none compare to the one made at Frankie's. It is dense, almost like dark chocolate fudge that just melts in your mouth. They also have canolis, tirimisu, and an assortment of gelato. The staff was so nice, checking on us throughout our dinner, ensuring we were never out of water. Frankie introduced himself to us as we were leaving. We had to tell him how amazing the risotto was today. Frankie said that their kitchen is a scratch kitchen and will gladly make items not on the menu if the kitchen has the ingredients. “This was my Second time visiting this restaurant, and I brought my guy in to try their food. Ms. Darcy waited on us, and she was warm, and inviting as we walked in. We didn’t even have to get up when our food was ready, Ms. Darcy brought it to us!! He had a catfish dinner, and he thoroughly enjoyed it! I had the chicken wing dinner and it was a hit as well!! We tried the jerk egg rolls as well once we got home and they were good…not spicy enough for my taste though. The atmosphere here was a bit “smoky” I’m sure from the grills but the smoke consumed the dining room atmosphere. Overall, we were pleased with the food and may come back to pick up take out!“

“We went when it opened Saturday at noon. We were the only people here for a while and were hesitant. Let me tell you- this was an amazing meal. Probably the best I ever had. “We went here for a birthday celebration, with eight people. There weren't many people in (we went early) and our waiter was wonderful, giving suggestions when asked. They bring warm bread to start, with olive oil and parm on the table. The olive oil isn't seasoned, for those who like that. Bread is delicious. We had appetizers of caprese salad, vesuvio fries and bruschetta. Portions were pretty good. Bruschetta is excellent, great flavor and large tomato and cheese topping. Caprese was also good. The fries were not, coated in some kind of gravy/oil and very salty. Our entrees ranged from the vodka rigatoni (both GF and regular), seafood paella, gnocchi (outstanding), salad and clams. Everything was great, although the Caesar salad comes dressed with a LOT of dressing. They bring out a dessert tray for you to choose and have several choices. Almost everyone got the limoncello dessert and loved it. This might be the best I've ever had. We also had the death by chocolate and the carrot cake, which were also great.Vegetarian options: There are a lot of vegetarian choices and they are good about taking meat out of a dish when possible.Dietary restrictions: They offer to switch pasta dishes for gluten free pasta for a $3 upcharge. The GF rigatoni vodka was really good. The GF options are clearly noted on the menu.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu and they are always friendly with the kids (ages 7 and 9).“

“Tried the jerk barbecue rib tips. I wasn't terribly fond of them but then I remembered they were JERK so I settled into the flavor. Next visit I tried the beef short ribs and they were very good with the sweet potatoes and the greens both also good. Last visit I tried the oxtails. They were incredible and I look forward to getting them again. The sweet potatoes were also delicious. However, this time the greens were extremely bland, but that won't stop me from going back.“

“Great service. Nice little place. Amazing food. I ordered 5lbs of the Lumpia Pork Eggrolls for Mother's Day dinner. They were amazing. Everyone liked em. Was worried about the picky kids not liking em. I messed up I'm not calling with a few days in advance, and the morning of I asked for a large amount of eggrolls, luckily they were able to get em done just before closing. That was incredibly accommodating of them, but I know now to give em a few days in advance. My aunt/cousin used to make those eggrolls all the time, and when she moved back to the Philippines about 15 years ago, we stopped having em all the time. I was incredibly happy to find this place, after a suggestion from another Filipino aunt/cousin.“

Most recently, upon entering, we were greeted and seated in less than a minute. Our server quickly provided water and asked if we were ready to order. This night, we ordered chicken fried rice, chicken egg foo young, and orange chicken. The fried rice is my favorite at this location, with extra green onions! Our food was delivered to our table in approximately 10 minutes! Not only is the food delicious and quick, but they have also made interior improvements since COVID.
