Downtown Glen Ellyn is crazy packed the weekend before Halloween, and despite the chaos and demands, Emma was a star! She stayed calm cool and collected working diligently as the line grew and some rude teens got lippy. She's a great employee! The yummy hot chocolate, latte and sweets were a nice little pick me up, and the comfy chairs made for a nice escape from the crowd.
Full disclosure, I used to live on an island where cacao was grown and I've been to farms to try the raw cacao bean and watched from bean to bar happen in my neighborhood.That being said this is some decent chocolate for Illinois where the beans come probably partially fermented and maybe even rotted from who knows where. Prices are a bit steep, but what do you expect at an artisan chocolate shop besides some fancy looking and decent tasting chocolate.

I tried their dark chocolate bar. It's a little bit on the sweet side, but is very smooth and has a nice flavor. The store is cute and the service is friendly. The gelato is also good, nice flavor.
