“This is a great place to stop for dinner if you’re in Golconda. The atmosphere gives you those rivertown bar vibes, and the service is fantastic. They’ve got a dining area and a bar on the other side. We had the catfish and fried okra, and they were absolutely fantastic. The star of the show was the fried mushrooms and the fried pepper Jack cheese triangles. The mushrooms are probably some of the largest you will find anywhere. You could probably make a meal out of just appetizers because they’re delicious and the portions are huge. A highly recommend you add this place to your weekend river trip agenda.“
“Great local wine selection! And they have lots of local beer options too. The owners are so helpful & nice (and masked!). Tony, one of the owners, suggested a great wine bottle for us and we even bought one to go! Would highly recommend stopping in (or even staying with them!) if you’re in the area.“
“This local restaurant in Eddyville is a gem. The staff is extremely friendly and took very good care of us. We had dinner here 2 days in a row after all day hiking. The food is delicious and will not disappoint. We were lucky to be in town on a Friday and Saturday night. Friday nights they have the steak special, which was absolutely delicious, and Saturdays they have the catfish special.Be sure to try their famous Bloody Mary and their homemade and flavorful desserts, like the peach cobbler and the banana nut cake.“
“The Food I ate here was surprisingly AMAZING during Shrimp Festival. Texas toast buttered and toasted to perfection with a HUGE hamburger...add an egg...and some really great mildy spicy sauce...that burger was ATE FAST! SO GOOD!Having said that...the younger girl at the bar was nearly impossible to get her attention to even help me and there was only 4 people at the barplus...could not give a tip to the new lady who came on shift because it was SPRUNG ON ME while being handed the food that THEY ONLY TAKE CASH and luckily had just enough.
