“Was in St Louis for 4 days visiting a friend. We were trying to find a nice locals type place with a good selection of cocktails and good atmosphere. Thanks to Google we stumbled upon this place. It was nice just to sit the in the corner, have a drink, listen to quality music and play chess.“
“Amazing people, a spectacular Benton Park gem for those located nearby. No fake fancery or pompous attitude, just some awesome people, both bartenders and customers. Also- you can BYO food. And there is a Rallys a block away. So, in essence, they serve rally’s. If that’s your thing.“
“Love everything about Mack's! Mack and Tommy are some of the best people you will ever meet! the food is great and the staff is wonderful! I had a birthday party there and I plan to have many other events there too! the Sunday Fine dining is some of the best food I've had! 5 stars hands down“
“Had one of the most amazing Omelettes I’ve ever had while picking up some equipment downtown today. Don & Lisa are diamonds and we enjoyed every second. If you’re anywhere near here, run, don’t walk & go get a breakfast or brunch. They even had a wonderful coffee and hot sauce bar. Highly recommend the smoked Salmon. Amazing!“
“Stan's is a fun little dive bar with a following of regulars during the week and karaoke/party folks on the weekend. Karaoke is often loud and jam packed, so choose your nights wisely if that's not what you're looking for. Otherwise they have cheap drinks, pool, basic snacks (chips etc.) to help soak up the booze or you can bring in real food. Can also be a chill spot to grab a drink in the early afternoon and catch a game and you'll often find Stan hanging out at one of the high tops with his people. As others have mentioned the bathroom set up is strange..2 toilets close together, separated by a wall with no stall doors - so if you want privacy double check that you've locked the door to the bathroom itself. There's also a cool little laundromat down the street, so if you time it right..well, you get the idea!!!“
“This is a must visit local spot if you haven't been. Tons of pinball games to choose from and plenty of cheap drink options. Tiny Chef is never a disappointment. Make a point to come here if you want to appreciate a South City experience.Vegetarian options: Tiny Chef carries vegan optionsKid-friendliness: Don't bring kidsWheelchair accessibility: Ramp at the main door. Two booth seating options. They're usually full, but this crowd would move if asked.“
“What can I say Terrapin Tuesdays amazing Yonders Eats wow amazing pizza Pop's Blue Moon If you haven't been there you haven't been anywhere!!!!!! the atmosphere the family Vibe is amazing and there's always something special going on “
“Now known as Ryan's Corner Pub, the new owners (Naomi & Jeff) have managed to retain what people loved about Jimmy's and expand on that success exponentially!! Things that you'll notice if you haven't stopped in recently: New paint, inside and out New floors Rearranged seating that opens up the space Expanded drink selection Lovely updates to the patio While you'll see lots of friendly faces you remember on both sides of the bar, you'll definitely notice the updates to the space and atmosphere. As a former (beloved) bartender turned owner, Naomi has really run with fun ideas to bring in new folks while also making the regulars happy. Some new things: Open on Sunday and have been showing movies on the patio which is super fun Drink specials including late night, industry Queen of Hearts Auto play turned on with Touch Tunes - so no more awkward silence if no one is playing music Amazing holiday decorations With Halloween just around the corner and Sunday movie nights on the patio, you're going to want to stop by and give Ryan's some love!!“
“Great place to hang out and have some drinks if you like a dive bar atmosphere. Cash only but they have an ATM on site. Everything's cheap. They don't serve food but generally they're fine with you bringing food from somewhere else as long as you're cool about it. Great patio spaces when the weather's nice.“
“Great bar with amazing service, drinks, and atmosphere! The design of the whole place is so unique and I have never been to a bar that has matched its charm or character. The food looked great too but I have yet to try any of their items, I will certainly be back to give it a go. The drinks on the other hand I have had and are always spot on, they have never been disappointing for anyone i've been with or myself! For the price too you can't beat this place easily one of my favorite bars in St. Louis!“
“Gorgeous bar with split venue so you can go one night and enjoy karaoke on the stage side and or spend a chill evening on the bar side with friends! Cannot speak highly enough about the owners, and the people they employ are just as kind and engaging! Great variety of beverages including Non Alcoholic options!Parking: You can catch free Street parking after 7 typically but there's an entire free lot at the end of the block as well!“
“Nice dive bar for the area! Really good atmosphere, I like the old school bar feel. Can pop in have a few drinks and a burger, never fell out of place. Even though I'm a out sided. Their fried shelled tacos are amazing! They nightly food specials. So don't expect the same special week to week.“
“It could use spookier music, especially on Halloween. I came here for something spooky, since everything else fell through for me. It saved the night.I had to wait 15 minutes to receive a drink (vodka soda) but it was $3! Coming from LA where drinks cost more than bottles, that was a lovely surprise.Rating 5 because I met neat people here. Dead Pee Wee Herman who runs a marijuana farm, drunk hockey jersey guy, black guy whose sister works there, and knowledgeable town showman. It was a reminder that you can move anywhere and meet intriguing new people.“
“Did trivia, it was good fun, I little too loud but still manageable and able to talk with friends. Had hockey on so good place to have a drink and watch sports. A lady was selling food while trivia. Recommended for trivia on Tuesday around 7:30pm“
“I was visiting my friend and we've been to a few bars in the area before but we went to the Silverleaf on a Friday around 3pm. He said "a dive bar".It was super small but what a experience we had w the guest, staff and the food. A whole Japanese feast. Including kamikaze shots. Great place great people“
“Nice little neighborhood sports bar. They have plenty of TVs. They have darts, pool table, and shuffleboard. They also have a very nice patio. They have great food. Love the fried dill pickle spears, pretzel bites, and their pizza is surprisingly good. It is kind of heavy. They have party rye bread with cheese and sausage like you would have in the neighbors basement in the 70’s.I miss the fried cannelloni bites. They also had really good fried chicken back in the day. They possibly have the best well Bloody Mary in St. Louis. Drinks are affordable. The crowd can get kind of loud and rambunctious later in the evening is the only negative“
“Lots of great, local options if you like to venture out, but also the standards of you just want to stick with what's comfortable. No food, but near lots of options, so this is great for before or after. Plenty of seating options and an enjoyable atmosphere, I love the art accented by UV!“
“Tiny place in a bad neighborhood, but wow, the food was great and the service was very friendly. I'd be happy to go there again!??Parking: Strictly street parking and not much of that, but make sure you lock your vehicle up tight, and make sure no valuables are visible.“
“Good place. I’ve visited about a dozen times and for the majority of the time, it’s been a nice experience. However, that nice experience has been diminishing greatly lately. I understand people can get a bit inebriated at times and their demeanor can get a bit out of hand” and sometimes outright nasty. However, for a young woman (I believe is named Melissa), the later seems to be a regular occurrence with her. On every occasion I’ve seen her, she’s been loud, rude, crude, mean and vile to others, once including myself. It would seem that management should discourage this bad behavior.“
“Doit's Village Inn. What can I say negative about this place. Absolutely nothing. I've been going into this bar for numerous years. And I've always been welcomed with a smile from the bar tender , too the kitchen cooks , to the customers. 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for The cook at Village inn, Mr gravy. One of the nicest men you will ever meet.. I met 2 gentlemen while shooting pool just 2 days ago. And shot pool with them and chatted for 4 hrs and enjoyed myself. I've made many of friends here. If you have never been here then you need to stop in, play there slots 5 stars, have some drinks 5 stars order some food 5 stars. Thank you every one.“
