“Absolutely love this place! I had no idea it was 100% Gluten Free, when searching for Gluten-free restaurants, this one doesn’t show up. But because it’s entirely GF, it would be awesome to add this to the Google Business account so it appears on searches.Vegetarian options: Tons of delicious veggie options.Dietary restrictions: 100% Gluten Free, options for every diet.Kid-friendliness: Great food that kids love!“
“We have been searching for decent “Chinese” food since moving to mchenry 8 months ago and NOTHING in the area was even close to being good. This was the first time I’ve had it since moving and I can FINALLY say we found the place. The egg rolls were so good, which is usually my biggest test on a place! The beef egg food young was also great, no big chunks of onions either. It was a good portion of ingredients, and the flavor was spot on. My husband had the chicken fried rice and orange chicken and he said it was really good - he usually says “it was fine” whenever we get Chinese, so this is a big compliment coming from him. The service getting the food was quick and still warm when we got it. I do remember coming here years ago, and remember it being really a great atmosphere and really good. So luckily with Uber Eats, we were able to have it delivered. I am thrilled to say I FINALLY found my go to spot!!!!“
“We went to Shakou for dinner a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I can say that service was amazing - we were served by a new waitress ( she was still in training) but she did an excellent job providing perfect customer service. She was there when she was needed and provided space for us to have a great date throughout the evening. The food was on par with the service. We ordered miso soup, ahi tartar and salmon carpaccio for appetizers. For entrees we had diver scallops and jumbo shrimp dish and chicken teriyaki entree. Both appetizers and entrees were very delicious and we would definitely order it again. One thing I wanted to note that the scallop and shrimp entree is quite small, so make sure to get an appetizer (I was glad we did, because the scallop entree alone would not be enough for dinner for me - it is so good though I could probably eat two of those ?). For dessert we had chocolate lava cake a la mode and chocolate pyramid - both were pretty good, but lava cake is definitely the winner between the two.Overall, I definitely recommend this place. It has a city vibe to it, so louder than most suburban places, hence attracts younger crowd. 5 starts ?“
“This is the most authentic Cantonese and Szechouan food I've had in the Northern suburbs. It's also the only Chinese restaurant in the County that has dine-in! We ordered potstickers, crab Rangoon chicken fried rice, sesame chicken, orange chicken, House Chow Fun, and happy family. And that was just for me! (just kidding) The potstickers were very large and delicious and so was the crab Rangoon. The chicken dishes were done exceptionally well with juicy chicken and crispy veg. The Chow Fun (rice noodles) were wonderful and perfectly caramelized in the magic stir-fry sauce. The fried rice was excellent, and didn't come eith peas and carrots which, in my opinion, don't belong in fried rice anyway. This is a small mom-and-pop type, establishment. Everyone is friendly, and I would urge everyone who loves Chinese food, to come here and either eat in or carry out. Next time I'm in Illinois, I'm coming back!“
“You get what you pay for . Budget friendly all you can eat asian buffet . They have different varieties sushi, Mongolian grill, lomein, chowmin, glass noodles, 8-10 chicken, 2 beef , 2 pork ,2 prawn, 2 fish dishes. Fresh salad bar, fruits ,a few desserts, also few American food . Pretty much everything. But this place could do a renovation. I liked it .“
