A Japanese/Chinese fushion restaurant inside Gurnee Mills. I ordered Teriyaki Chicken Bowl, salmon roll (THEY DON'T HAVE), yellow tail (THEY DON'T HAVE) so I ended getting a shrimp roll. The lady who was serving and scooping all those food was not wearing any glove and saw her pushing one of the chicken meat inside the bowl. I ignored the NOT wearing a glove hand but not the touching ku food with her finger. The man who made my shrimp roll was at least wearing gloves. The chicken meat tasted bitter and burnt just by looking at it. The shrimp tasted weird like it has a soury bland taste. Didn't get a smile from any of those three personnel working there at the time.

There is a young lady named Judy working at this location. She might be the rudest store associate I have ever encountered in my entire life. I had ordered the tuna roll. When I received it, it just looked unusual to me and because it's raw fish I was immediately scared to ingest it (am I wrong?). I told her I didn't want it, but would keep my shrimp tempura roll. She tried talking me out of it with a slight attitude. I had to explain 2 more times that I am turned off by the looks of it. She was like ok and started walking away. I said aren't you going to give me a refund? She said no, we don't do that. I asked how it was acceptable for her to not give a refund for something I didn't want and asked if she had any idea what customer service means. She raised her voice, was incredibly rude and just walked away. Finally Santiago came out and was actually able to provide a refund, no questions asked. Judy should be fired and prevented from ever working with the public. She is absolutely clueless about how to handle people and provide even the slightest bit of customer service.

Went to China Kitchen to order several Boba Teas and the young lady at the counter refused to make them and told me they were too busy.This is bad business practice for paying customers. Business at the time was not busy she just had two other customers. I will not be returning!

Garbage Employees, stood there for 10-15 mins when no one was doing anything, girl looked at me and ignored me. After I asked if she can take my order, the guy behind her said 10 mins. Shortly after I left she helped the next costumers.

Horrible customer service!!!! The mall was still open for another 10 more minutes and they told me they wouldn't take orders for bubble tea..one guy told me that they sold out...HA!! That was a lie to my face....and then the other guy told me they wouldn't take ordered for that!!! Wtf kind of customer service is that. We walked from the other side of the mall to this stupid place with enough time to spare. Everybody else in the food court was still serving food bcuz thats what they do when the mall still open. Doesn't say in the menu "we stop serving bubble tea at 850pm". If it did, I wouldn't have went there...a durr!!!!

Flimsy utensils that break the in thing great about that place is their teriyaki chicken everything else is sadly I wish I could have gotten McDonald's

Standard mall Chinese-Japanese with a twist: sushi rolls and nigiri. Very friendly husband and wife team behind the counter. The chicken teriyaki was terrific, and the sushi rolls were fine. The owner even offered to refill my water bottle. This whole food court has changed for the better, and Japan Cafe is one of the nice options amongst the Sbarros, Subways and Jamba Juices. I noticed they also cater.
